Unable to change channels – Can't fault the picture, or the sound. The problem is there is no way to change the channel or adjust the volume on the TV unit! I know about the joystick button, however the LF51 series does not have the joystick button, just a power on/off button. You ONLY way is via the remote control. It just been annoying up until now, but when it was misplaced by a visiting 5 year old the TV was useless.
You can download an app for your phone, but this TV doesn't have wireless, nor can be connected via Ethernet to the network.
If you are someone who always puts the remote back where it's meant to be, or haven't accidently dropped it, this is a great TV.
Who ever thought to check if a TV actually had controls on it?

THIS LG 500 HARD-DRIVE TV IS A GOLDEN TREASURE – I bought a high definition LG TV with 500 gig hard-drive for recording TV broadcasts more than 5 years ago at Good Guys in Auburn NSW 2143. I have never seen a more perfect machine. It is absolutely perfect. For more than 5 years, we have always left it on standby both day and night to keep the hard-drive recording going. There has been absolutely no fault since I bought it. My kids play with it, we actually "over-use" it. but it never stops going. The pictures are perfect, the recordings and playback are marvellous. It hasn't given us a single headache. The only thing is that we have never been able to figure out how to plug in a USB but that's no problem for us. I have never seen that model in the shops again. I think LG has stopped manufacturing it, but they have actually stopped manufacturing a real treasure. If all LG materials are like that (I trust they are!) the world will be a better place.
Perfect clarity – Best quality and value TV I have ever bought. Perfectly clear and brilliant clarity picture. Syncs well with other devices, namely Panasonic blue ray DVD player, creek CD player and Denon tuner and connects easily to the Internet with wifi. Hoping it will last me for at least five years.
