Excellent quality – I've had my TV for well over 10 years and it's still working perfectly! Very happy with this TV. It's a bit heavy compared to newer TV's, but i was still able to get it hung up on the wall. Show reply
Great – Great TV with some good features. Mine is connected to a Foxtel box so can't comment on the tuner. Usb input is good though a little slow. Sound quality is not too bad either. No complaints
Good quality television – We've had our LG 50" HD Plasma Razor (50PJ350) for almost a year and still enjoying watching television and DVDs. Prior to buying this television, we had a 42" LG Plasma which we were happy with so when we decided to go for a larger screen size, we stuck with what had served us well. The 42" is still going strong in another room. It was easy… Read more
enough for my husband to set up when we first got it, also having to connect to our Optus set top box. To get other channels apart from Optus, all we needed was a rabbits ears antenna and the picture quality was excellent without any messing around with the antenna. Maybe we're just lucky where we live and have a good signal.
The remote control is easy to use and has nice big buttons and numbers on it which helps when you have a husband who doesn't always wear his glasses. The price was right, 4 star energy rating
LG 55LV55 is a 55" TV LED-LCD set with a built in HD tuner – It is a flashy model with low power consumption and is also super thin (not sure why.. to impress?). Its tuner can receive analog and digital signals. Menu has heaps options but half require internet connection ie extra payment. All (what you know anyway) is explained in a b/w poorly printed manual common for all associated models thus half of… Read more
its pages aren't relevant. But then there is a CD added with a longer version. The CD opens up to the point when it tries to reach its T.O.C. but then it gets stuck.Nevertheless you can find a pdf file inside by yourself. It tells a bit more than the paper version with the same (poor resolution) images but in colour.
The TV set has some limitations, like only a single video I/P and only optical O/P for the spatial audio but the picture is sharp and large.
This model can use external drive via USB port to view images and play or record avi, mpeg etc files.
Unfortunately it could not read even video filenames from my USB memory stick - do I need to pay extra for this?
The screen has 4 levels of strength/quality and lets you save more power in exchange for a bleak picture.
My set has also two bottom corner glares that show up in all darker scenes. This gives me an exciting impression of exit lights in a real cinema and perhaps a hint to think twice before buying an LG product again. large sceen, low power, built in HD, good brightness, was $2188 on Harvey Norman's sale poor manual/s, limited sockets
Good value for money – I got this TV on special and with 3 year warranty it came to just over $1000. I'd have to say, for the money it's a fantastic picture - as long as you have it hooked up to HD attachments. We were watching it on normal foxtel and couldn't understand why the picture wasn't so great, until we realised that nothing was in HD. Now we have HD foxtel and… Read more
the picture is amazing - you can really tell the difference. The only complaint is the sound sometimes reverberates. But overall a great buy! Everyone thinks it's Full HD LCD when they see it. I was told that with Plasma the difference between Full Hd and HD is not very noticeable. Good value for a great picture. The speakers sometimes reverberate.
Excellent – You will not buy a better TV under $1K & this is $750! Had for 6 months now, always been a Sony man (have Bravia) but LG quality way improved. Impressed. Was going for Full HD Panasonic but could not over fact that LG had better PQ even on Bluray. Very thin bezel, slim frame. Great picture quality, heaps of settings, good remote. Movies on this… Read more
plasma look excellent, better than many competitors at double the price.Excellent contrast & movement handling. 3 HDMI plus USB. Screen reflection in bright rooms. Whites could be whiter.
Terrible – When we first purchased it it was fantastic, since the problems occured - the repairer Video Factory in Tweed Heads continue to be baffled by the problem. It has been in twice in a month , I see that as a problem. I can understand i year later after purchase problems start to occur not 4 weeks. So far we are out of a brand New TV , we are doing… Read more
the chase ups (repairs and outcome of the repairs- we are not happy with the current service or with Harvey Norman. The screensize, and the easy access to programs on the unit We have had it for a month 01/7/2010 have had in repairs twice now , we continiue to have small like match head size holes in the screen, at the momement fighting a battle with harvey norman either to replace it or refund our money back- I think its a fair choice since we bought the TV brand New a month ago
