Terrible – lg have distributed a memo to customer service and their sales staff detailing they know of a lip syncing problem but it must be the broadcaster, dvd player, cable or set top box and they will not accept the items back as faulty price and lg's sexing up of the sale by throwing in a surround sound system terrible lip syncing problems( only if you like spaghetti westerns or bollywood films it wouldn't be a problem)

Good – Haven't experienced out of lip sync that others are reporting, as i run sound through pro logic system, recently connected digital top box and now the picture is unbelievable, very clear and colours and depth are unreal. So apart from the occassional black screen (which you can't prove to LG for warranty replacement/repair), i like it. Great price $7,000.00 incl upright stand, side mounted speakers and a another 18" LCD TV too. Part of the promotional package.

heaps of inputs/outputs. Very occassionaly, when the unit has run for say 4hrs+ and you change the channel, the screen goes black. You can still change channels up and down but there is no picture. Solution, turn the TV off then back on. This has happened approx 10 times over 2years.

The physical size of the remote - does it have to be so big?

Terrible – At the moment the price is good. You have to take out extended warranty as the original warranty is only 12mths I think. So now I am $5K out of pocket. I will be trying to get a new set where I bought it from, if not from LG as the hours it has been on for is about 3000hrs in 15mths. UNTIL A PIXELS BLOW. At the time I bought it Feb04 I got it for $5000.

RRP was $6100. Price is now $2499. First one I bought home and put on the wall, had a line through the whole screen L-R. Last night May 05, turned on TV and

heard like a light globe blowing and then had a 1 inch black line running from top - bottom in the middle of the screen.

Bad – Raced into Plasmas too quick - impulse buy. Switch between inputs is riduclous - have to pan through one by one anf there are about 7. Tuner - throw it away - only good for extra inputs! YOu have to have a set top box to get a good pic anyway! Remote contral size and buttons riduclous! Hey.. this was an early model. But I hear the new ones also have the crappy input select - seems they don't learn. PIxels and line problem would be rare with new models.

Bit late for a review but want to share warranty experience 22 months after buying this TV.

Always happy with picture considering it being SD. Faulty power modules replaced withing 2 months of purchase early 2004. Without TV for 6 weeks!

Now March 2006 Green vertical line appeared on screen. Then a purple one, then another green all about a pixel wide. Well, I gave it a go and complained to LG Australia i.e. I had a lemon!

Well I nealry fell over when they agreed to pay for all parts!! So yep I agreed. They replaced the complete panel (Around $3000) and all I had to pay was $330 labour. SO there is negotiation after warranty runs out.

Just appeal to LG and they look at your case. I hear they are good in AUst. for this sort of thing.
