Honestly been a lifesaver. I’ve dropped my phone a few times, even in the sink once, and it’s still perfectly fine. The case feels sturdy but not too bulky. Great for anyone who’s a bit clumsy or always on the go!
Frustrating Design Flaws Make This Case Unusable – I purchased this case for my new iPhone, and unfortunately, it has several design flaws. * The dial used to silence the phone is extremely difficult to operate—so much so that I’ve often had to use my teeth to adjust it. It also frequently moves out of alignment, turning the phone off silent. Fixing this requires taking the entire case apart,… Read more
which is very inconvenient. * The plastic covering the back camera gets dirty and scratched easily, making the camera unusable. * The plastic covering the front screen has a noticeable air gap between the case and the phone. This creates an annoying clicking noise when in use and often results in accidental taps or errors.
I reached out to the company for support but received a dismissive response, showing little concern about the poor quality of the product. Save your money and look elsewhere. Overall, this case has been more trouble than it’s worth.
Lifeproof is RUBBISH – My wife bought me an expensive life proof cover phone accidentally fell into water and the iPhone stopped working immediately life proof don’t stand by there warranty Please do not purchase these fake covers Show details

poor longevity – My Life proof case lasted just over twelve months before the rubber perished around the rim and I could not press the buttons. The usb cable door rubber fell off after three months but I glued it back on and it remained intact until recently. I purchased it through Amazon Australia so cannot return it, or make a complaint. I wonder if there is a better product with manufacturers warranty out there? Show details

Awful! Don’t waste your money! – LifeProof cases are the worst! Yes they may protect from catastrophic damage at first, but who wants a case that literally falls apart! The vinyl/silicone edges become gooey & make your hands & the screen gooey! Gooey mess is all over the case, your screen & hands, and is hard to clean off!!! Eventually those areas start falling off, and just… Read more
outright disappearing! I woke this morning to find one non existent button had fallen off! I grabbed my original case, but all the vinyl/silicone edges were cracked and falling off! The areas before peeling away, falling off, etc became disgusting looking too! It was embarrassing. I paid lot of money for this garbage! ZERO stars would be more appropriate for these cases!!! Don’t waste your money!!!
Defective phone case for iPhone 12 Pro Max – This is the most expensive iPhone case available. $99.00 Canadian plus taxes. I had the case for the iPhone 5S and 6S with no problems. This case for the iPhone 12 Pro Max continues to break at the charging port. The piece of plastic that opens for the charging cable keeps breaking within a few months. I am on my third case and I thought… Read more
that "Lifeproof" meant the phone case would last longer than my cell/mobile phone plan. It costs about 20.00 Canadian to have Lifeproof ship you a new case. Not if I aim paying over $100.00...No way.
Do not buy this most expensive phone case because you'll continue to pay for expensive shipping charges later on.
Had the case for 2 days and the charger port has a stress fracture – I purchased the fre instead of otter box defender like I normally would because it was pretty and waterproof. I did a quick search on comparisons and it seemed like it was the better choice. I charge my phone once a day and on the second day I noticed it already has a stress fracture/crack on the charger port. I googled and it’s a common fault.… Read more
Apparently the camera cover gets scratched and scuffed really quickly as well and ruins picture quality. The store I bought it from will replace it but it’s going to cost me money sending it back and I have to buy a new case while I wait for a new one to be sent out. It also makes a weird rattling noise and vibrates in the back of the case on phone calls which is just horrible. It’s fine when watching tv but using for a phone call feels and sounds disgusting.
Faulty product, no resolution of warranty claim – The gate to the charging cable port started splitting with normal use after less than two weeks. Besides an automated email acknowledgment of my warranty claim, the company has done nothing to resolve the matter. There does not seem to be a phone number for this outfit. Very disappointing. Great after sales by LifeProof – Purchased through a third party retailer, the case was perfect for the 6s Plus at the time however it lasted about a year. I emailed LifeProof with the details and they immediately sent a replacement LifeProof case which lasted forever until the phone got stolen. In the car I was driving. 4 stars. The End. Show details
Faulty after 11 months but replaced without delay, good customer service – My Fre Samsung 9 case power button stopped working after 11 months (just within its 12 month warranty).I had purchased it for $79 AUD from an Optus store in town which refused me a replacement even with my receipt (due to no longer stocking the product but referred me to the Lifeproof website). service In regards to warranties, I expected the worst and expected to get the 'run around' by both Optus and Lifeproof. I sent photographs of my case (which was well cared for and looked brand new) and my receipt to Lifeproof and in a 2 days they responded with confirmation email and news that they would send a replacement. The replacement took about 10 days to arrive. I'm very happy with the company's customer service and speedy response (particularly as i read many terrible warranty stories online about the company). The 4 stars is only due to the fact that the quality of Lifeproof cases has deteriorated from what it was many years ago (I'm talking iPhone 4, years ago! that case lasted for years) but overall I am very satisfied with the company and will continue to purchase from them due to this recent positive experience.
Unscathed! – I recently fell through a roof- 2.6m directly onto concrete and my phone not only did not have a scratch, but I was able to call for help immediately (I was not unscathed!). Best case for doing what it says it does! Show details

Poor value for money – I bought the LifeproofFre 360 for my iphone 12 a while back but thought I'd leave a review for others wishing to buy a decent cover for their expensive phone. Within a few months the plastic over the lens had cracked. Phone was not dropped. It seems it cannot properly accommodate the slightly raised lens and flash part of the phone. Makes the… Read more
clear plastic bulge a bit and eventually split. Meaning it's no longer waterproof and the crack is part way across the lens. The softer rubber surrounding the clear plastic part of the cover is separating from the harder plastic parts.
I'm retired and it does not get harsh usage.
It's a hardy cover and suspect it could save your phone from a hard impact, but it really is quite expensive for a few pieces of moulded plastic that does not last as it should.
I had a Lifeproof cover on my old iphone 7 and it was a much better product.
Once a great product, but the quality has gone downhill- case lasts a few months at best – You would expect a lifeproof case to lifeproof, but unfortunately, as many others have experienced, the last two I’ve had have worn out in a matter of months. I’ve gone through several in the last few years and I don’t feel like replacing it again. On all three cases that I’ve had, the silicon seal inside the case quickly broke, the screen… Read more
protector became so degraded I could barely see the screen while out and about and trying to use a navigation app (not while driving), and I’m fairly certain none of them were waterproof for very long. They all got moisture inside the screen cover when exposed to a damp environment, which meant you had an issue if you left it on the bathroom sink in the morning. This resulted in the screen becoming unusable until you take the case off and clean it.
Very disappointing. I was thinking they’d made some progress when they got rid of those annoying audio port adaptors on the older models.

Absolute rubbish – 3 weeks of normal use (no water or harsh work environment) and the blue coating over the camera lens just came off making photos and videos blurry and yes, I have tried cleaning it and no I didn’t use anything else than a dry glasses microfibre cloth to clean it. Wasted $130 Show details

Fall from grace - avoid! – I've always used LifeProof cases on my iPhones - over a decade of use. These cases used to be amazing and I had stories to tell from my 4wd adventures etc. But that is no longer the 'case'. These days I need to be careful not to put the phone in the same pocket as my keys for fear I'll scratch the case or knock off a button etc. These cases are now an absolute joke. And they still charge top dollar for them. Avoid at all costs. Total crap.
Don't Buy This Rubbish. Won't Last Long! – I remember when Lifeproof covers used to be built to last & made out of quality materials. I don't know what's changed but nowadays they are crap! Pay top dollar & then fall apart within a few months. From the start I want to protect my phone after spending quite a few dollars on it, not let it get scratched. I was recommended to buy Lifeproof as… Read more
it's guaranteed waterproof & dustproof. After reading other's reviews on here, I'm wishing I'd never bought one as now mine has started to fall apart (ringer on/off button has perished & fallen off) & the holes where the speakers are clog up very easily with lint, making it very hard to hear the person on the other end. Regular cleaning of the charging porthole is a must. Pros: - nice, sleek-looking cover; Cons: - starts falling apart easily after a few months; - have to clean the case regularly to be able to hear calls clearly; - needs to come complete with a cleaning kit to ensure it can be kept clean.
Worst case ever – Life proof cases use to be good many years ago but this case is crap it can’t handle life anymore Iv had it replaced 3 times under warranty it’s utter crap and useless only last 1 month before screen is all scratched up around cameras so ya can’t focus to take photos and the screen itself gets scratched to the point ya can’t actually tell what… Read more

Worst phone case on the market avoid at all cost I replaced it today with a cheap knock off brand and omg the difference it made didn’t realise how crap this case was you have to press the phone so hard to actually type anything
Not worth the $100 I wasted – I’ve had the case for roughly a week on my iphone 12 and it is garbage. Touch sensitivity is useless, I almost have to type like an old school cop to make the letters stick and constantly have to correct words because of this. Face ID doesn’t work properly if at all when unlocking or using secure apps. I used to like and recommend this case because worked. not anymore. I’ll be looking for something else Show details
Falling apart a bit over 1 year old – The rubber/silicone on the front is fragile and falling apart on my Fre cover, purchased May '21. Additionally, around a year old the camera windows went hazy and required a firm polish to remove the… Read more
crud on them, the black part around the flash is now cracking. Very disappointing for a $100AU item, (overpriced from reseller) wont be purchasing this brand again when alternative $20-40 offers same or better life for way less.
Camera lens cover failed - 1 week – My previous Lifeproof case also had the lens cover go foggy but I though it was something I did. However, my new cover now 1 week old has done the exact same thing and judging by the other reviews, Lifeproof has not made any improvements. The rest of the cover seems to be fairly solid though but having to take the phone out of the cover defeats the purpose of having a cover in the first place. Show details

Don’t buy if you want to use your camera – I’m rough with phones so when I upgraded to the iPhone 13 I decided to protect it with one of these cases. For about a month it was great and then things started to go south. First the front screen protector had this weird section of scratches appear and for the life of me I can’t work out what did it, then the plastic over the cameras randomly… Read more
fogged up to the point where I couldn’t take a photo with the case on which was of course utterly useless. Fortunately for me JB Hi-Fi was able to refund me for this rubbish case.
Screen protector is terrible – I got a free life proof case when I purchased my new phone. Screen is crap hard to press, far away from the phone screen. Don’t waste your money. Disappointed. Show details
Solid overall protection but has major flaw – Have owned the case for a week. Overall the case protects the phone great and isn’t too bulky. I like the little toggle addition to switch my phone on and off silent mode, even though I won’t use it. The plastic screen cover is very responsive. However, from day one I noticed that when opening and closing the charger port latch/cover, a line… Read more
started to appear where it joins. Like a stress line. Now only 7 days later the latch has all but broken off over that stress line at the joining point. For a $60 case I don’t think that’s good enough. The latch obviously needs to be open to charge phone or put a headphone jack in. It also needs to be open to make speaker quality clear, otherwise audio will echo within the case. I have no problems with that. It also has to be closed whenever not performing any of the above tasks, so for something that has to be opened and closed so often, I do have a problem with it already breaking off after only 7 days of use. I am a big fan of Otter Box but unfortunately I cannot recommend this product.

the cover have all basically crumbled away . The hinged cover over the charging port would not clip shut then eventually fell off altogether . The plastic covering the screen scratches very easily and the small thin plastic sheet covering the Home button has completely gone . The cover is made of very cheap and brittle plastic and everything about the cover is cheap low quality rubbish. I will never buy another and warn others that the cover is virtually useless and DO NOT BUY .
Lifeproof camera blurry – had to rip the camera cover section out of my $110 life-proof case as it was blurry as hell…. what a joke never had issues with life-proof case before this one…. not happy
Your case will break - and Lifeproof won't care! – Good luck if you're considering buying a Lifeproof case. Mine broke well within the 1-year warranty, and despite my sending multiple emails to Lifeproof over the past 1.5 months they simply ignore all correspondence. If I could give a zero rating I would. Absolute shocker! Show details

Don’t buy this – If you want an iPhone for the camera or Face ID DO NOT BUY THIS. We bought three. What a waste of money. The plastic over the screen is faulty. They also don’t have a direct contact phone number unless someone knows of one?
Waste of money – I bought a new phone and got this case for Christmas to protect it from water damage. Purchased just two months ago and the thin film of plastic that covered the torch is split and now water can get in making this $120 case completely useless. Poor Delivery and Warranty Support – For an internationally positioned company, LifeProof (Otter) is very Glossy in its presentation, but fails when it comes to customer support. tracking service said that it had been delivered. Only one enquiry was answered, and I was told that it had arrived, and it was up to me to sort it out. Eventually, two weeks after my initial enquiries, the iPhone 13 case eventually arrived at my address.
During this period of waiting for LifeProof case, I purchased another case from a local shop, in order to protect my new phone from drops etc - the same reason I had paid quite an exorbitant price for a LifeProof case.
Now that the Lifeproof case is surplus to my requirements, I have spent over a week trying to arrange a return and refund, but the Customer Service department is ignoring all of my emails and attempts at contact. No telephone contact numbers are available, so you are at the mercy of being “ghosted”
I would never recommend them again.
