Jake was amazing when he came to source a possible problem with our outdoor lift. There was no failure with the lift and "maintenance and cleaning" solved the oil that was visible (it wasn't a leak :)). We have had this lift for15 yrs and it has been excellent.

My experience to date with the lift shop has been very positive. Nathan at sales was very knowledgeable and extremely patient, he won us to engage the liftshop for our new build. Though it did take a while to have all the teams lined up to ensure installment of the lift occurred (builder, joiners and the liftshop team), we are super happy with… Read more

the end result. We have the sliding doors and large brushed stainless steel cabin. Though Nathan did highlight that the brushed stainless steel is hard to maintain we did not listen and that’s the only item we didn’t listen to, which I wish we did, as it is very hard to clean a brushed stainless steel finish, and it stains long term easily, even though the lift is under 1 year old. Everything else, including the dark mirrored finish is a dream. The functionality of the lift has been extremely satisfying as we wanted a fast and efficient lift for our three floor home. Also to date we have been so well looked after by the servicing team. Extremely professional and on time. Jack and ‘Baz’ (Sebastian), who have serviced our lift yesterday were a delight and reviewed all the items very patiently that I asked them to check for, including a suspicious scratched sliding door on only one of our floor opening that Jack geniusly gathered was our puppy dog! Tim our installer was also a delight in dealing with, including being very knowledgeable and all so polite and professional. Kudos to the Liftshop team who so far from front end to back end has provided us with some genuine great service. We so highly recommend liftshop that our Neighbors have now engaged them to install a lift in their new build!

A professional service by John W today – As always John W was prompt arriving. A polite and happy person. He was thorough in explaining what he did and completed the sevice in good time. He even cleaned parts of the lift. A pleasant professional service man.

Follow-up  · John is longer with Lift Shop but my last service was equally as good. I liked the way John always cleaned the mirror in the Lift.

I have had a Lift Shop elevator in my apartment for going on the third year. It is my policy to practice preventative maintenance and have taken out a lift service contract for two inspections per year. This review is about the fourth inspection /maintenance visit- I have not had to call the out the Lift Shop for an emergency or problem to date.… Read more

Booking was simple, a mutually acceptable date and time was agreed but unfortunately due to a staff member being sick, they were unable to attend as planned. I was texted this information early on the day of the scheduled service. No problem, I was contacted by the office on the same day to arrange another day that suited me. This worked and Jack was on site early and ready to go. All scheduled work was completed promptly, however a non critical problem was picked up that could not be corrected within the allotted service time, so another visit is required. I live in a small complex and Jack is the technician of choice, residents will rather wait for Jack to be available, if possible, for the Lift Shop and ourselves. We have a great rapport with him and trust in his work. All in all, while this visit was not problem free, communication was maintained to an acceptable level with the service dept. and the job was done as promised. Jack's work is exceptional and his knowledge of the product is of a very high standard which equates to a high level of trust between customer and technician.

Run, run, run! Installation Nathan was fabulous providing sales information and communication prior to signing, however, once the contract was signed communication from the company ceased unless I contacted them. I was assured my lift would be in Australia and ready for installation by the end August 2024. The lift did not arrive in Australia… Read more

until December 2024. Installation was not until February 2025 – 6 months past the originally stated date. Additionally, I was not informed prior that the installation would be for a five (5) day period where the two installers would be on site from 7am to 7pm. On the last day of installation, 04/02/2025, Jayde insisted that final payment had to be received in order for the lift to be made operational, to ensure that my wheelchair bound father would be able to access the second story of my house. This payment was made and not long after (about 30 minutes) I was informed that the lights in the lift were not working. It was then discovered that the wrong doors were installed. Instead of the automatic doors as per my contract, the company installed manual doors. By this stage, Lift Shop had received 100% of the contact price, yet I was left with a lift that was NOT what I ordered and had defective lighting. The installer assured me that a technician would be in the area the following week to rectify the lights issue. No technician arrived the following week and no one from Lift Shop bothered to contact me. [Name Removed] assured me that the issue with the doors and lights would be rectified on the 11/03/2025 and I would receive exactly what I paid for and what my contract stated. What a joke!! The installer arrived and my builder discovered that Lift Shop were going to do a dodgy ‘retrofit’ of an automatic door opener which was not what I ordered. The installer also attempted to rectify the lights not working, but guess what??? When he left that day, there was STILL not working lights. I was assured that Lift Shop will get back to me with an approximate date for arrival of the actual doors I ordered, which could be another 3-6 months, plus a date on then they will, again, attempt to have the lift lights working. Again, I have heard nothing!! Meanwhile, [Name Removed] refuses to discuss any compensation for this shemozzle until it is rectified. What a crock! Lift Shop are happy to charge like a wounded bull for everything – storage, waiting time, cancellation fees if they do not receive sufficient notice etc. You would think that a blunder, not just once, but twice of such magnitude would warrant a call to the customer as promptly as possible and an offer of compensation, however, I have not heard a single thing from anyone from the Lift Shop. Based upon my dealings with this company, I have grave concerns about their ability to rectify this any subsequent issues that arise with my lift. I would suggest you source a lift from another provider and avoid this company altogether. Will happily update this review if my dealings with this company improve. Run, run, run! Update 19/05/2025 I would still 100% recommend that people seek a different company to provide them with their lift. To date: - It’s been 8 months since my lift was supposed to be installed (Sept 2024) - It’s been 15 weeks since the wrong doors were installed. - It took 8 weeks and 2 attempts to get working lights in the lift. Since lights were finally made operational, they do randomly turn on when lift is not in use – very noticeable at night. - It’s been 10 weeks since the company attempted to do a dodgy retrofit of an automatic door opener. - It’s been 10 weeks since Lift Shop finally ordered the doors that were in my contract. The doors were apparently being expressed shipped, which they said takes 8-10 weeks. - There’s still apparently 3 or more weeks until the doors arrive in Australia and clear customs. I think I have spoken to pretty much everyone in the company, except for the owner. Most of the correspondence has been with [Name Removed], whom I have absolutely no confidence in his ability to be truthful. Reason being: 04/03/2025 - In relation to the retrofit of the automatic door opener, [Name Removed] assured me that “you are getting what you have ordered and agreed to in the contract”. This definitely was not true! Once the Lift Shop installers (Luke & T) had arrived and my builder was shown drawings of what was to occur, my builder instantly said that what Lift Shop were proposing was NOT what was contracted and refused to have them being installed on his build project. 19/03/2025 – [Name Removed] has the audacity to then blame myself and my builder for their significant blunder by emailing ”As you have opted not to have the Ditec openers retrofitted, we have ordered new doors with the additional frame height required to accommodate the Auto Opener.” Ummm, [Name Removed], the doors with the additional frame height required to accommodate the Auto Opener is what I ordered and should have had installed in the first place!!! 19/03/2024 – [Name Removed] stated he would provide weekly updates. There has been a total of 4 updates since then.

In relation to compensation for this schmozzle of an ordeal and Lift Shop’s ineptitude: - 19th March, [Name Removed] did offer to extend my warranty by an additional three years, not including parts and labour. I rejected this ridiculous offer. - 20th March, Daryl did also offer an additional 3 years warranty including part and labour, this I rejected too and asked for the owner to speak to the owner. The owner was conveniently out of the country. I asked that he contact me upon returning to Australia and assume he must still be overseas as I still have not heard from him. - I was also told by [Name Removed] that “We will address this point once we have completed fixing your doors”.

It is such a shame that I cannot charge them their storage costs for my waiting time! It’d be pushing the $9k mark by now.

I do know that I will not allow this company on site until I receive in writing, the 5 years additional warranty, including parts and labour that I am seeking. I feel that this would be suitable compensation for such a huge and horrid ordeal. I fear that if compensation is not agreed to prior to them attempting, yet again to fix their stuff up, then Lift Shop will take advantage of this and cease what little communication there has been and I will be left like a shag on a rock. Update 09/03/2026 Since last update, it took numerous attempts and ‘expert technicians’ to actually get the correct lift doors to actually work. Lift was deemed operational and my warranty began 31/07/2025. Due to their inability and/or incompetency during this whole saga, I requested Lift Shop to provide the 8 year warranty that they were promoting on their Facebook page at that time. The manager agreed to this. (He later accused me of blackmailing the company for this). In order for the correct doors to be fitted, my builder was required to do demolition: • Remove architraves and jam on 2 doors • Remove glass in lift shaft • Remove timer head

Rebuild to accommodate correct doors • Lift and build new timber heads x 2 • Patch gyprock on both lift levels • Supply and install new jambs and architraves • Supply and install new glass panel for lift shaft • Pay for waste and disposal fees • Pay labour costs This additional work my builder did took multiple employees over a week to complete and cost $8700. Prior to Lift Shop commencing to install the correct lift doors, [Name Removed] from Lift Shop assured me that neither myself nor my builder would be left out of pocket for an error that was initially caused by Lift Shop and their inability to install what was in the written contract and paid for. What a lie this was!! I was told by the manager [Name Removed], that [Name Removed] was no longer employed by the company and that Lift Shop would not approve such a payment and especially from an employee who had gone rogue. How convenient! Yet another lie from Lift Shop, as there is definitely out of pockets expenses for their stuff up.

Since the lift warranty began, 31/07/2025, there has been multiple malfunctions. These included: door not opening and/or closing, lift moving when no button is touched, lift safety sensors not activating, lift stopping mid floor and being stuck.

I have also been asked numerous times to update my star review as [Name Removed] states ‘The lift is now operational and what was on the contract is now delivered.’ I feel that regardless that the lift is finally correctly installed and operational, Lift Shop do not deserve a review greater than the 1 star I have given it for the trash show that has eventuated since signing the contract.

The second time I refused [Name Removed] ’s request to change my review is when the passive aggressive emails and calls began. Apparently I have become rude, aggressive, stand over his employees and blackmail the company for additional warranty. I’m sure this review update give them more ammunition to try to get out of fulfilling my 8 year warranty. The Lift was serviced 11/12/2025. Since then there has been no malfunctions, however, the technician decided to give himself a 5 star rating.

Our lift from Lift Shop has, so far, been a zero defect lift, partly due to the fact that we were advised to get a service contract for two services per year. After all, prevention is often better than the cure! When it seemed time for the second service, not because the lift was acting up, but rather because I'd paid for it, Danielle booked the… Read more

service in promptly (within two days), the service date and time was confirmed a day prior to the service by Lorena, and super techie Luca arrived on time, and as planned to do the business. Fortunately the lift had no issues so the service went smoothly, with some small tweaking done to ensure it runs as smoothly as expected. A GSM unit need upgrading and Luca explained to me the reasons, costs and alternatives clearly, (Lift Shop had sent several emails about this subject so it wasn't a surprise) did the installation, tested the unit and showed me how to use it. The lift was left clean and running as it should, Luca was friendly and approachable and I'm 100 % happy with the entire experience. Additionally Luca was dressed in a smart Lift Shop uniform with his name on his shirt, so their corporate identity was clearly established.

I have lost faith in Lift Shop as they no longer have an agreement with Polock lifts that I had installed from them and had waited for 12 months for replacement parts which never arrived. Called for rectification of lift not working at North Sydney at 5 pm and told the nearest technician was in Batemans Bay, and that I would have to wait until next day for service, not the first time service has been unavailable. Highly unsatisfactory reliability when the lift is essential for disabled user……..

Follow-up  · The follow up rectification work needed two visits. . Technicians were capable and service oriented....no complaints . Emergency processes however, remain unchanged and do not give any sense of customer confidence they will be attended to in an out of hours emergency.

Expertise outstanding. Discovered and rectified problems I have encountered since I moved in. Previous service visits failed to identify issues I had raised since occupancy. Issues which would have been evident since installation. He left worksite in immaculate condition.and cleaned up the detritous left behind underneath lift mechanism from initial install. A grand service visit.

Jack came out and serviced our lift, he was friendly and very knowledgeable and got the job done nicely. Our lift is leaking a fair bit of oil, unfortunately needing a new piston/rubber, hoping this gets done without too much damage $$$ and the problem gets sorted, I'll update when done. I'll ask for Jack again as he seemed to be on his game. Recommeneded so far.
