LIFX Beam Light Starter Kit

Great when it works – My house is filled with LIFX products. They all work great besides this product. Worked for a while then wouldn’t connect. Support had a few ideas to fix it but in the end told us to set up the light near the modem. Well that defeats the purpose of having a wifi smart light doesn’t it? It seems the wifi receiver is very weak and temperamental. Clearly their worst product. Show details

Not a Beam. Weak Magnets. Just stick-on rods – Looking for a vertical beam? Don't look here. What a ripoff. Only good to stick on a wall. Magnets are WEAK, not a secure hold. The power connection is not stable. Stupid cable moves and falls off. No way to make it stand up due to the awkward power connection at base. Were you looking for extra parts to add to this STARTER KIT? Don't bother. There are no extra parts. JB don't know anything about the product. Get sent to Amazon - they don't even sell the kit. Contacted LIFX AU and LIFX US regarding extra parts... I guess I won't be getting a response. It just confirms the product is a POS.

I ended up buying it because I couldn't get any decent information about the product. Well, now I know - so I can provide the details many of you are wondering. No joy here, unless it is to stick it on your wall (connection piece may still cause frustration).

Don't call it a starter kit when there are no other components to add on. It's just a single use kit.

Not a beam, just a stick-on rod. You cannot have them back to back and connect to one power source - I.E. To make the actual beam this product claims to be.

The product doesn't work as a beam. Lame.

Don't waste your time or money.
