product as there’s so many inferior products with necks ties, cheap plastics and pockets that gather munched up food! My little ones are always happy to wear them, It’s one of those products I’m so happy to recommend as it makes such a difference.

Hands down best smock! – The best investment I’ve made. Lifesaver in protecting clothes, easy to wipe down and also wash well in the machine. I have bought one for each of my children in preparation for starting solids and my eldest who is 4 still wears this smock and it’s as good as new!

The best smocks! – These are by far the best smocks! Love that it’s durable, long to protect their clothes and perfect firmness on the wrists! Such good quality and so well made! I recommend them to all my new mum friends!

More mess to clean – It can protect baby’s clothing from food, however it leaves much more mess to clean up on the high chair and floor. neither worked better. Food gets trapped in the cuffs so wiping it doesn’t clean it enough. I think I much prefer a standard feeding smock even if I have to dispose of it once it starts to smell bad.

Helpful and cute – My baby insists on holding spoons of puree himself so bibs just did not cut it. Until we got this is was an outfit change with every meal. It has been great. Plus so he looks so cute in it! Show reply

Clothes saver! – Clothes saver! We’ve already saved so many outfit changes and pumpkin stained clothes! Highly recommend, especially for baby led weaning. Only regret is not purchasing it before we started solids! Show reply

Plastic glue smell – This item was great at the start - wiped clean however 4 months after I purchased it, I noticed a strong plastic glue smell emitting from the smock. At first I thought I was imagining it however my partner also smelt it. Contacted owner and am waiting a response. Have purchased a smock from Ikea in the mean time - should have done this from the start and saved my money. Disappointing all around - both with product and how it's been handled.

A fantastic smock/bib, easy to clean and great quality! Well worth the money – I've just brought 2 more of these magnificent bibs. It makes meal time so much more manageable. After 6 months of daily use, my two existing bibs are still going strong! No rips, tears or stains, i thought the turmeric had it number but after a couple of times in the washing machine, its as good as new. Bree was prompt, helpful and professional with an inquire with my latest purchase. Couldn't recommend them enough!

I absolutely love this bib! It's made meal time so much less messy – Easy to clean (just rinse under a tap!) and has saved me from having to change my baby's outfit after every meal. I don't know why people persist with simple bibs and even the ikea smocks are too short to be that useful. This smock is perfect!

Very disappointing – These smocks were great at the start. However they are very difficult to keep clean and mine went mouldy around the arm cuffs and neck. I contacted the company and they were very unprofessional in their response. There are plenty of other ones on the market which are cheaper and easier to wash.

Worth every cent! – I bought two long sleeve smocks over two years ago and then bought two short sleeve ones a few months later (summer). These smocks have been in constant use pretty much since then. My child has grown out of long sleeve ones (nearly 3 !) and there's still life in them to pass to a friend. dried properly but this would apply to any product that gets wet! In cooler weather, I gently stretched the cuffs out around plastic ikea drink cups to help them to dry. They are super soft unlike other smocks which are crinkly/crunchy plastic. I'd not hesitate to buy more if I had a second child!

Not bad but not amazing – The idea is great and the product looks beautiful, but it’s not completely baby proof. My 8 month old still gets food on his ankles and feet. He also tries to munch on the fabric and I don’t think the fabric will withstand being munched on by those teeth so I have to constantly try to stop him chewing the smock. imagined and food tends to get stuck in the elastic bits around the wrists (I do love the elastic wrists though...just not as easy to clean as I’d hoped). Food also tends to slosh around near the neck area which causes him to scratch like crazy as it aggravates his drool rash around the neck, so I still have to peg a tea towel around his neck to protect it completely. You pretty much have to have at least 2 smocks if you use them a lot as they have to be washed every now and then rather than just being wiped down. I want to love this smock seeing as it’s quite pricey but it doesn’t completely solve the messy eating problem.

The perfect bib/smock! – Finally, a great quality product! I have owned a little chomps long sleeved smock for over a year now. We can't live without it – A product we have used non stop. We use our smock for feeding and for arts & crafts. We love how easy it is to get on and off and cleaning the smock has been hassel free. Ive reccommended the smock to many of my mothers group, who also feel the same. Show reply

Love these smocks! – We have two of these smock (one long and one short sleeve). We use them at every meal and love how easy they are to clean by either wiping away mess or throwing in the machine when messier than usual. Love that my sons clothes stay perfectly clean underneath the smock. Would highly recommend them as they make meal times or messy play time a breeze. Show reply

Full of chemicals – I bought the Little Chomps Smock 8 months ago for my baby. I chose this smock over others as it's helping support a small Australian business. for easy storage when not in use). After 5 months the smock material started to crack at the neck and smell of potent chemicals (it happened to both smocks I have, which are washed after every use). It got so bad so quickly that I had to throw it out. I don't want my baby breathing in those chemicals. I have now bought an Oeko-Tex100 smock to replace it with. I will stick to my criteria of certified and independently-tested products from now on.

Amazing feeding smock - saves so much laundry – We got these smocks after trying others that had a towelling front which means we needed to wash after every meal... We use the smock in combo with the weanmeister easy rinse bibs pretty much every meal now and it has saved us SO MUCH LAUNDRY!!! once every 2 days, or after a really messy/gooey meal (e.g. letting him feed himself yoghurt... So much mess!)

The only downside is that for an average sized 9 month old the sleeves are very long and food can get caught in the folds of the elasticated wrists. We use a laundry clip to gather up the extra fabric at the back.

Poor quality product and bad after sales service – We bought 2 of these, an expensive mistake at $25 each plus postage. We used and cleaned them according to instructions and within a month the first one started to get black mould around the neck. I contacted the seller who said that should not happen and offered to send me a replacement but she did not send anything and didn't respond to any… Read more

I tried using the second one some time later and within a month it started getting black mould patches around the wrists.

These smocks have to be thrown out once this happens because there is no way to remove these black patches from this type of material.

The concept is great but the product and after sales service makes this a bad choice of smock. You can buy $4 smocks from kmart that may not be pretty but do the same job.

Save your money and stay away from this product.
