Logitech Cordless Desktop MX5000 Laser (Keyboard & Mouse Combo) – I'm very happy with this duo. I trained total novice to work on computer, and even he found easier to work with this mouse and keyboard. It was easier for him than working on Belkin wired duo. Installation was quick and very easy and Bluetooth works with Panasonic Toughbook just fine. Yes, it doesn't have lock on the numeric pad, bud it… Read more
doesn't need it. It has the calculator on numeric pad, and lots of other fantastic futures, like one touch email opener, one touch switch off whole computer, one touch print and on & on…....Left side touch pad is very sensitive, but there is a warning. It is only all about getting use to it. Handy display with date, time and even room temperature. Lots of handy one touch functions. Easy to work on. Non, my works just fine.
OK – Overall for those who are wanting a good wireless keyboard/mouse I would recommend it, just don't freak if the bluetooth drops out it will come back. I have had this product now for 6 months, and I have had little issues with it. The range it has is great, comfortable to type with, mouse ergonomic design makes for comfortable gaming. Many buttons… Read more
for just about anything you use, can find programs to program buttons to do what you need it to do. The bluetooth will drop out from time to time, but I have found that it only seems to do that while I have other wireless items in use etc. headphone. But for me it comes back easily and fast.
OK – I have had this keyboard and mouse combo for over 2 years now and although it frustrates me at times i find it very useful. The only problems i have with it is that the blue tooth connectivity drops out on a regular basis (2-3 times a week), sometimes it connects straight up and other times i have to sit and wait for 10 mins. The mouse is great… Read more
to use, very comfortable and with additional buttons to flick between web pages it proves its self as more than 'just a mouse'.
I do like this product how ever probably wouldn't buy one again. Comfortable Mouse, Adjustable Settings, Additional Key Functions on Keyboard, LCD Display. Blue tooth connection continually fails, Mouse is unpredictable at times (after using different surfaces).
Bad – i like the wireless features. however the mouse never worked and the keyboard occasionally lost connection. the keyboard went through batteries quite quickly. in the future i think i will stick with traditional corded products lots of functions on the keyboard. you an adjust the settings. mouse feels comfortable in the hand. i like the concept of… Read more
the wireless features despite all of mine and my husband's best efforts we never could get the mouse to work. at the time we really only needed the keyboard so we did not worry about pursuing it. in hindsight the mouse part of it was a total waste of money
Bad – This was a very expensive package at the time that has failed to live up to the promotional hype. The pros of wireless bluetooth connectivity and rechargable mouse battery are by far outweighed by the continual frustration of letters being double entered, mouse double clicking by itself and the connection software not working. I have contacted… Read more
Logitech about these issues and their technical support is pathetic. When I finally got a response (by email) they said to uninstall the drivers and software and reinstall them. This was laughable because I had already explained to them when I lodged my support request that I had already done that. I tried for more help and never received a reply.
I could never recommend this product and suggest looking elsewhere. wireless; good battery life. logitech software continually fails; mouse double clicks on it's own; double entry of first letter when keyboard not used for a time.
Good – This keyboard is good and although the LCD screen can be useful for the calculator because it loads at the press of a button and will automatically copy the results ready for pasting, the LCD screen is mostly gimmicky. It displays the times and date, your username (or another name of your choice) and the temperature. You can press buttons to… Read more
choose a playlist and if you are playing a song it will display information about the song on the LCD unless you have Windows Media Player Mini Player enabled. The touch sensitive controls are really easy to get to and light up. However I have had problems with sleep because when my computer goes to sleep it switches off Bluetooth so I can’t wake up my computer… Bluetooth so works with PC and Mac easily
LCD display
You can easily set up playlists for a media player and it is incredibly easy to load them from the keyboard itself
Ultra-thin
Not too heavy
Touch sensitive controls for zoom and volume and media
Excellent range
On board calculator
Thermometer
Awesome battery life (I’ve had 4 AA batteries in this keyboard for about 2 months since I got it and they’re still going) If the Bluetooth drops out it can be a hassle to reconnect
There is no numlock button
If you cannot set an option in BIOS to not check for keyboard you have to have a wired keyboard connected to be able to use this keyboard (although you can still use the keyboard in BIOS)
Touch sensitive controls can be difficult to use
Sometimes you can accidentally push the mute button and not realise
Bad – To sum it up... Setup was not very good! The blue tooth didn't work properly! Crashed the p.c and allways giving me pop ups on the screen! Ended up taking it back for a microsoft keyboard! Looked good! Too many
