This remote sucks – I had problems setting up this remote and tried to contact customer support, only to find out that they charge $10 to call for help. What a disappointing way to try to get something you bought to work. Terrible product, do not recommend.

It Depends – This is a hard product to rate. Once upon a time I would have given it 5 stars because it worked as it should work. But then I got a new TV. Despite it being a leading model from a major retail chain, Logitech did not have a profile for it, I used another profile for a different model of the same brand, but the remote had no idea what TV input… Read more

to set, and consequently I now needed 2 remotes to operate my system.

Once upon a time Logitech had a phone support line; now it only has email help, and it has been no help at all. After 6 months constant badgering they did eventually come up with a profile for my TV but it was no better than the other one.

So now I would give this remote 1 star. But, as it used to work well, I'll give it two.

Frankly, buying a Logitech remote is a gamble. If you have very mainstream equipment, they will probably have correct profiles for it and you will be very happy with it.

But if something in your system is unusual or new, then you might experience problems, and it is possible that your experience with the Logitech help team will not be a satisfactory one.

This explains why some people rate these remotes very highly, and some people rate it very poorly.

Brilliant universal remote – I have has this remote for over a year now and it controls all of my devices perfectly (Sony tv, sony bluray, denon av receiver, wd tv live, Xbox 360). With a little bit of effort setting up the devices / activities, it has now replaced all of the standard remotes that came with each device. Would definitely recommend this product. Easy to setup, well priced, compatible with all of my devices No complaints

Big disappointment – I brought this remote because I own a 300 model and really like it. I was also impressed by the manufacturer's claim that it delivers one touch operation, which would be great for my youngest child who has a mild intellectual disability and struggles with the other remote sometimes. Unfortunately it doesn't deliver. The concept is that you… Read more

set it up online so that when you press the "Watch TV" button for example it turns on the TV and the Set-top box and sets the input to set-top box so that all you have to do is select the channel. About 80% of the time this fails for us and we have to use a "Help" process that guides you through correcting the problem. It functions well if all the devices are in the state it expects (either on or off). If this doesn't happen (frequently the case at our place with kids) then it is tedious to correct. Strangely, I think that the screen makes it more difficult to use. You are forced into reading instructions rather than just clicking a few practised buttons.

After only 8 months the up channel and up arrow no longer work. Not acceptable for such a pricey remote. Having previously had good experiences with Logitech I hope this is not an indication of future direction for the company. Online loading Doesn't do what it claims to do, difficult to use, breaking

Excellent – Really pleased with this Harmony 600. If you are new to universal remotes, try this one first. It is a significant step up from the Harmony 300 which does not have a display, and as far as I can tell, does most things the Harmony One does except recharge the batteries. The Harmony 300 can only control 4 devices and the 600 can control 5 devices.… Read more

If you need more, the Harmony 700 can manage 6 and the Harmony One can handle 15. Overall REALLY pleased with my purchase. I'll report back later with reliability issues if there are any. I bought the Harmony 600 as a trial before buying a more expensive model. I got it at Harvey Norman in the after Christmas sales - for nearly half the recommended AU$99. It has been an absolute bargain - I question now why I would need the Harmony 700 at $200. The 600 does everything I need and the backlit display is great in a dark room. A sensor turns on the backlight when you tilt the remote. Setting it up was fairly easy, but it took me a couple of hours to fine tune it. You have to use a website to create your account, and t took me a few tries back and forth to the home theatre setup in order to test it and refine the setings. Now it is set up I am happy with it ad the family think it is great. It is replacing 4 remotes, and I was pleased that any functions left off the automatic setup, for example some of the more complicated functions of the Beyonwiz PVR are easily set up manually, as the remote can learn functions which can be displayed on the LCD screen. Quite frankly I am amazed at how easy this device has made things for my family - just 1 press of a button and the amp turns on, switches to correct input and turns on the PVR, plasma and you are ready to go in seconds. 5 stars from me. The only downside is that you need a computer with internet and have to be a little tech savvy. However, the software is easy to use and newbies should not have too much trouble. The more expensive models have recharging docks, however, they cost significantly more. Even if my first set of batteries only lasts a couple of months I will still be way ahead.

Poor execution of a good idea – This is my second Logitech remote - the first one died after about 15 months use. Since it was discontinued, I had no choice other than to buy the 600. There can be little doubt that this is the most unreliable piece of equipment I've ever encountered. It fails to work properly 99% of the time - the rare exception is when it turns everything on or… Read more

off when it's supposed to. Almost invariably, something has to be turned on or off manually. In addition to this, it frequently locks up and won't respond and the button assigments are clunky to set up. Only marginally less inconvenient than juggling 5 remotes. Basic functions fairly easy to set up and use. Hopelessly unreliable, not enough activity functions, frequently locks up, buttons assignments are clumsy,
