Logitech Z Cinema Advanced Surround Sound System Computer Speakers

Good – I'm not audio expert, but these are my thoughts. At low volumes, you can notice that it passes the low frequencies to the sub woofer too early, so it sounds slightly weird - this happens at about 20% volume. The remote has a great deal of buttons, and to be honest you can really only map 5 or so buttons to 3rd-party applications - guess the rest… Read more · 1
are customised to Windows Media Center (which I have yet to test. This is personally an upgrade from the Logitech Z-10, and it's a pretty reasonable upgrade - I'm not a fan of many satellites in surround setups. Sound clarity, I would say better than Logitech Z-2300 which a lot of others like - comparing at Harvey Norman, both my girlfriend and I agreed the Logitech Z Cinema was clearer(that has to say something). The Z-2300 sounded muffled next to the Z Cinema - though Z-2300 did seem potentially more powerful. I like my bass, but I don't love it that much to sacrifice clarity - how this set compares to other speakers, I can't tell you. The USB connection providing a pure digital 24bit feed from Foobar is nice, at least knowing bypassing my poor inbuilt laptop sound card. They could've done without the wheel for the volume control on the remote. Cable mess is kept to a minimum, and the cables seem thick enough. Generally quite satisfied with the built quality of the set and remote. Nice, clean sounding and reasonable. Passes low freq. to the the sub too early. The key combinations on the remote are not all track-able/configurable via 3rd party programs.
