Logitech Z205 Computer Speakers

A worthwhile upgrade from the (usually) bad internal laptop speakers, with some limitations – Bought a set of Logitech Z205s as a way to get better sound from my laptop. Overall, I've been quite impressed, although the Z205s are nowhere nearly as good as the next model up (Z305). If you can stretch the budget and buy the Z305s, they are a much better speaker. That said, if you are on a strict budget, you can't go too far wrong with the Z205s. Good value for money ($29 delivered), clear sound, quite loud for size, very easy to use, USB powered, clips neatly onto top of laptop screen, can also accept 3.5mm input from MP3 player. Needs USB power (only a con when using it as a standalone speaker). Slightly tinny. Not as good as Z305 (but then it's half the price).

Excellent and quite powerful little speakers! – Just bought some of these from Logitech's ebay store for $35 inc. postage. They're really small and just run off the power supplied by the packaged USB cable but give good quality and quite loud sound. They also have a neat little clip meaning that they can be attached to the top of your laptop's screen. For their size, I don't reckon you'll find a better option for the money! Small, great sound, loud. low down bass lacking but then they're tiny speakers so that's to be expected.
