Avoid this garbage company. terrible service, not worth it. Stay away from Lowrance.sd – Horrible service, 2hrs 24min on hold only to have the rep hang up on me, all I wanted is options on a map card for my older HDI Elite 7, who runs this clown show, what pros sign up for sponsorship with this company? Do they call customer service like I just did? Doubt it, they're just as pathetic as this company. its a joke, go somewhere else, … Read more

Lowrance sucks and they prove it by hiding their contact info. What pro hitches his wagon to this company, come on guys, youre better than that, they suck, cant contact, over 2 hrs on hold, f"ing joke.

No operating manual and nothing works well – You get the feeling that Lowrance has a complete stuff you attitude when you ask for the operating manual to keep on the boat and you are told that they don't produce one! You can get it on your phone apparently. But how do I adjust my Elite out at sea? Seriously!! Also many of their functions either do not ever work or re-set themselves to not work. And a "help line" that is absolutely no help

DO NOT put yourself at the mercy of this company – Do not buy this brand! If we could give negative review stars, we would. We spent over 3k with Blue Bottle Marine on the HDS7 Gen3, just over 5 years ago. The unit has ceased working, and been replaced under warranty twice by Blue Bottle Marine, the EXACT same thing happened a third time, this time just outside the warranty period. Being outside… Read more

the warranty, Blue Bottle Marine stated we would need to deal directly with Lowrance. This was MONTHS ago. We posted them the unit. And they have now even ceased communication. It has been some 3 weeks since they have replied to an email. Phone centre requires you to deal via email. Reading reviews and forums we can see others have had the same trouble. This unit is obviously faulty and we are left with no sounder and no money to replace it. I can not put into words what this experience- from the start inc the time and money in returning and installing etc the previous faulty units - has cost our family. Time when the family can get together to get on the water for quality time os extremely hard to come by, and not having working equipment, due to the fault of the manufacturer, is unforgivable. At this point we have no choice but to spend more time - VERY hard when I have a cognitive disability and my husband is working full long days 6-7 days a week - looking through our legal options. The money to purchase this unit was hard to find, and a pooling of resources with our son, 18 at the time. DO NOT put yourself at the mercy of this company.

Avoid at all cost any Lowrance products! – I purchased a new Lowrance Elite and it crapped itself after only 14 months. When you ring support you only get put through to the US and they tell you if you want us to check if the unit is repairable you need to pay us for a new one. Then if your unit is not repairable we will just send you the new one. WHAT A JOKE!!! Thats not legal under… Read more

Australian consumer law. These guys have the worst after sales support in the world! Never again buying a Lowrance!

The sonar is OK but the GPS set-up is poorly thought out. The so called Operation Manual is a big FA – This is a combined unit. The colour sounder is satisfactory but the problem is the poor set up of the GPS. When you mark a Waypoint, it just shows a symbol. There is no indication of a time or date when you did it. This is most frustrating, particularly if you are running pot lines and have to find individual floats and you change the location of… Read more

them each day. I found my old $120 Garmin far better and now continue to use this instead of the GPS in the Lowrance (thank goodness I didn't toss it). For an expensive unit, it is very disappointing and their design engineers need to get back to work. The other major issue was the extremely poor Operation Manual. There is NO on line data manual you can access for more detailed explanations of how to operate the unit. I found I was on the phone to their customer service section in Sydney many times. The retailer from whom I purchased the unit was also in the dark. Finally, it took an IT specialist and a fishing mate who had had Lowrance units before to work out how to use it. Even then, it is complicated. My suggestion would be to look to other brands.

Find the Fish and get home safe – Have had this for a year now and not only is it great for sounding the GPS I think is a must. This unit saved a possible tragedy when I was caught in a wild storm on Port Phillip Bay with gale winds driving hail and visibility down to a few metres. I had keyed in the boat ramp GPS co ordinates before going 10 klm to my fishing mark. Having to… Read more

rely on this unit to point me in the right direction to get back was hair raising as I was certain I was heading the wrong way. However I had the trail showing that I left on the way out. After half an hour things cleared and I was well on my home. The screen is clear even in bright sunshine the set up is a bit fiddly for entering marks and naming them. However once entered it is easy to bring them up. Highly recommend having a GPS on your boat for safety first and finging those elusive fish and this is a ripper for the price. GPS tracking mainly, clear screen Setting new marks etc is fiddly and you can't input data without having the unit in the boat. No built in battery to allow this.
