I have to agree with all of the other reviews here. We installed a couple of years ago, as part of a major renovation, at the suggestion of the interior designer and Beacon design rep. As others have mentioned, it’s complete garbage, and given the price I feel ripped off. It doesn’t exhaust at all, and we have mould forming as a result. We’re… Read more

now having to explore the option of replacement with an alternative solution which will involve the purchase cost, sparky, plasterer and painter! Shame on Beacon for continuing to sell this product.

7 months in our new build and this is a complete waste of money. Worst heat lamp I've ever had. I'm beyond disappointed. The heat lamps stay on for max 5mins and go off on their own. There is no warmth to be had from it. I'm beyond disappointed this was ever thought good enough for sale. I should have read the reviews myself and not just go ahead with recommendations from your design team.

WARNING a complete WASTE of money – We purchased this bathroom ceiling 3-in-1 exhaust fan as part of extensive multi-bathroom renovations. While we left the existing common 20 year old IXL Tastic 3-in-1 fan in one of the bathrooms we wanted something that looked more stylish in our ensuite. While purchasing a range of light fittings at Beacon Lighting (had a sale) we also selected… Read more

the Lucci Tempair 3-in-1 Exhaust Fan.

After installation, the performance of the exhaust fan and heat lamp were found to be nothing less than appalling. The only thing that works to expectation is the light, equal to a $5 LED bulb. The fan has no strength of air flow (standard 2.4m ceiling) and the heat lamp is more like having just a yellowish light on.

To permit this product to be sold as a top shelf 3-in-1 is nothing more than false and misleading.

Really regret have not reinstalled the old IXL Tastic 3-in-1. Have had that type in the last 3 houses over 30 years and they are outstanding at 25% the price. To remove the Lucci would require new ceiling plaster and painting due to its rectangular shape to refit the smaller triangular footprint of the IXL Tastic. Just to expensive.

UPDATE - 15 Apr 2025 After following Beacon Lighting's suggestion to submit a warranty claim, I took the time to do so and submitted it on the 22 March. Today I received Beacon Lighting's email response which read

Continued review - It is clear that despite this product having been reviewed on this website 19 times and getting a 100% negative rating, with all consumers basically having the same performance issues, it is a product that is not fit for purpose, however this issue is described by Beacon Lighting as 'seems to be more of a product satisfaction issue rather than a product fault, this is not a warranty issue'

Hate this product – Complete and utter waste of $500, if I could give it minus 0 stars I would. The fan offers no suction at all, condensation drips down the walls and everything is always damp. I absolutely hate this product and want my hard earned money back. After reading all the reviews (which I wish I had before buying it), I’m surprised you have the gall to actually sell this useless product. Show details

Very, very underwhelming – Well for a 3 in 1. It barely heats, it barely extracts, it barely lights up the bathroom. Clips to hold the light up are useless. Its near impossible to remove the cover without damaging the ceiling. For the price of the light, this is very very disappointing. The upside? It looks ok once its installed. Bar the light hanging completely on one side by 5mm from the ceiling because the clips are crap. Show details

Don’t waste your money! – After renovating our ensuite, this is worst heat lamp and exhaust fan I have ever used. The exhaust fan is useless, moisture runs down the walls and not an inch of the mirror is fog free. I get more heat from my toaster than the 1000w heat lamps, even after replacing the globes. The old IXL 2 globe heat lamp and exhaust worked 100% better… Read more

than this! Don’t waste your money. The look is fabulous as it is sleek and stylish, but it definitely does not perform! Even had the warranty electrician come look at it to check it was working properly. Do not buy this unit. It’s crap! Will definitely be replacing it when we are able.

Disappointed – I purchased this item from Beacon Lighting to replace an old 3 in 1 in a small ensuite. The 20 year old exhaust fan I replaced worked better than this new, very expensive item. The entire ensuite is filled with steam - walls and cupboards dripping with condensation. The heater lamps are also ineffective at warming the space. Do not recommend. Show details

Pile of Junk – Exhaust fan is completely useless. May as well not even have one in there. Heating elements may as well not be there. The light is reasonable- though we had to supplement with downlights. Impossible to clean. After 2 years of cursing the useless thing, we’re about to about to rip it down, and replace with something that hopefully works. Show details

Poor product – Ability to extract steam from a 1.3m x 3.2m x 2.4m ensuite is less than poor. Bathroom walls show heavy streaking water from top down and the heater may as well be deleted as it also doesn’t do its job. Removed and returned to Beacon Lighting and that’s another story Show details

DO NOT BUY – This is a rubbish product. Wish I had read these reviews before making the purchase. Whilst it looks really good, fan can barely suck leaving my bathroom a sauna with walls saturated.

Cannot remove without ceiling damage. Holding clips retract to unreachable position once installed – When we tried to remove the unit from ceiling, discovered the holding clips had retracted into a position in the ceiling that was unreachable from below. Phoned store for advice & spoke to assistant for 30mins trying to solve problem. Unsuccessful. He finally admitted that when they install & remove store models on display the access the rear -… Read more

the area normally in the ceiling - unreachable by customers - to remove. In the end we could only remove it by making a bigger hole & thereby damaging the ceiling. Surely that’s against consumer protection legislation.

Exploded and shattered glass everywhere – Had two of these fitted today by a qualified electrician before anyone asks. The glass panel in the heat lamp just exploded one minute after turning on showering my bathroom in glass. Luckily the heat bulb is fine. Wish I had checked these reviews of this poorly manufactured product!

Not worth the money – Exhaust fan was troublesome from 18 months of installations. Some times it would work, sometimes will come on after shower completed, then completely stopped before the end of three year warranty. Whole unit is being replaced under warranty but have been waiting since January and another change of expected arrival is now June. Would buy another… Read more

model but none fit the cutout without having to repair the ceiling and start again at our cost. Update: unit product availability has now extended to July. They advertise the product for pre order but no end in sight to receive the product.

Inefficient – The unit looks nice but its extraction qualities are poor. Hardly shifts the steam. The heat lamps are fair, overall way too overpriced. We should have done better research before choosing . Disappointing product for the price paid .

Think twice before you purchase this – I have never written a negative review before but felt l had to due to the poor quality of this product. Upon installation we called our electrician back as we thought that he hadn’t connected the fan correctly. Unfortunately we were wrong. The bathroom is totally fogged up part way through the first shower. The outside finish turned yellow within a year. Worst of all it fell out of the ceiling early one morning.

Lucci Tempair 3in1 – I have 2 of these units @ $495.00 each. Heat lamps don't work all the time, Warranty (or should I say what warranty) they say lamps aren't covered under warranty even though they come on sometime and not other time, so it can't be the lamps? Exhaust fan doesn't suck steam out efficiently. (you have to leave a window open) If you ask me total JUNK

not worth the money – Installed the above. The client rang me the following day. One of the heat lamps had failed. I rang beacon lighting who told me to ring the warranty hot line. They said they do not guarantee the lamps. I objected to this. I went back to the branch and complained . The branch charged me for a new lamp and will give me a credit when I return the faulty one. This is all in my time and my expense. I will never recommend this again to any client.

Pretty Bad – Would not recommend. Looks great but the exhaust part does not work efficiently for a shower??? The whole bathroom was saturated! When the electrician checked the unit, it had the strength to hold up an A4 sheet of paper which is enough to say that it is working. Absolutely ridiculous! $495 for essentially a light and two heated lights . . . really 2/10 Would love a refund to buy a more efficient exhaust!
