Hello, We have 2 Tempair 3 in 1 Exhaust Fan units and not impressed with the level of exhaust. The bathroom still steams up as the exhaust fan offers little suction out. We have only had them for about 6 months and already have white mould growing on the ceiling due to the poor exhaust of the fan. Is this normal and it is just a poor suction unit or is their something we can do? I also want to clean the inside of the glass. How do you remove the glass to clean inside?

Hello Ian, sorry to hear that you are another person who has spent good money on goods and installation to find you have a lemon. The 3-in-1 isn't faulty it’s just 'Not Fit for Purpose'. Go to the reviews and you will find that you are not alone with many others with the same problem. Read my review under 'Max Beeeem' and you will see I have suffered the identical issues. I had a response from Beacon Lighting Customer Service who advised to make a warranty claim with a link to external link. After completing and submitting this form you will see in my review the response back from Beacon Lighting. Basically, they view the matter as a 'Satisfaction' issue not a one that relates to warranty. I raised the matter with the Australian Consumers Association (Choice) and their recommendation based on the evidence I provided was that I would have a reasonable prospect of a positive outcome if I lodged a formal complaint with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). I just haven't had the time as yet to do this. You may also see that this 3-in-1 is no longer being sold under its original product name, however Beacon have 'Phoenixed' it and are now selling the identical 3-in-1 under the name of 'Thermalite Pro Mini 3-in-1' no doubt due the overwhelming number of negative reviews. Worthy of a class action. Sorry but haven't tried to remove the glass as I would be far too tempered to rip the whole thing out and throw it it in bin. (but that would mean I'd have a great big hole in the ceiling that would cost about $1K to repair. Cheers Max

Thanks Max for the comprehensive reply. Like you, I would replace it with another simple fan but like you say, a large hole awaits. I also sent an email to Beacon and received the same request to fill out a warranty form. It is not warranty, it actually works, just no where well enough to be a decent exhaust fan. Frustrated...

Hi, i purchased an exoensive (for me) Tempair 3 in 1 and the fan has stopped. Even though it has been installed beyond the warranty periiod, my husband has only used the fan about a 100 times. It should not have broken with this small amount of use. As we are pensioners we cannot afford to get it fixed or replaced with another. I am hapoy to sign a stat dec that it has only had this amount of minimal use. What is your suggestion please? Thank you, karen.

Hello Karen, Sorry to hear that you are yet another person who has spent hard earnt money on goods and installation to find you have a lemon. The 3-in-1 isn't faulty its just 'Not Fit For Purpose'. Go to the reviews and you will find that you are not alone with many others with the same problem. While the light still works, the 'heating element' failed within 6 months and the exhaust fan has barely been able to hold a sheet of paper up against itself the suction/draft is so poor. Read my review under 'Max Beeeem'. I had a response from Beacon Lighting Customer Service who advised to make a warranty claim with a link to an external link . After wasting yet more time in completing and submitting this form you will see in my follow up review the response back from Beacon Lighting. Basically they view the matter as a 'Satisfaction' issue not a one that relates to warranty. I raised the matter with the Australian Consumers Association (Choice) and their recommendation based on the evidence was that I would have a reasonable prospect of a positive outcome if I lodged a formal complaint with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). I just haven't had the time as yet to do this but I intend to. You may also see that this 3-in-1 is no longer being sold under that product name, however Beacon Lighting like all Shonky organisations 'Phoenixed' it and now sell the identical 3-in-1 under the name of 'Thermalite Pro Mini 3-in-1'. I've seen it in-store, its identical. No doubt done due the overwhelming number of negative reviews for the Lucci Tempair named product. Cheers Max

Hi Max, I am sorry to hear of your recent experience with your warranty claim for the Tempair 3-in-1. Can you please DM us at support@beaconlighting.com.au with your claim number, and I can have this escalated further with a state representative to confirm if we can assist you further with this issue. For reference, our new Thermalite Pro is a new and improved 3-in-1 exhaust fan, and although they may look similar, they are not the same product and do not share the same specifications. Kind regards, Beacon Lighting Customer Service

Hello I’ve just got the 3 in 1 bathroom light installed in my bathroom but the fan doesn’t seem to be effective in withdrawing the steam when the shower is on . When I finish the shower my walls and mirror is steamed up and actually dripping with droplets of water . Does this suggest my light is faulty ? My old exhaust fan was much better . Thanks

Trying to replace the heat lamp on the right side of the unit. The above comments state that the face plate is clipped in. How do you unclip the faceplate? I’m placing my fingers either side but nothing is happening. Is there a video to show you how to do this?

Hi, I have one of these lights in our main bathroom, & it works well for me, but it’s quite an open space so may not be good for small bathrooms. My question is, can the light panel be replaced? Not the heating lamps, the light that plugs in & is part of the face plate. Thank you

Lucci Air

Hi Be'l, the LED light cannot be replaced as it is an integrated LED light (no globes). Regards, Gaile - Beacon Lighting Customer Support

Thank you for your reply. Disappointed that we can’t just purchase the panel as a spare part as it is a plug in, but can’t do much about that. Our LED lasted around 4 years.

Hi Wondering if it's possible to change the cool white central light panel to a warm white colour?

What do we do if the lights need to be changed/swapped out? Can't find any instructions. Does the whole unit then need to be replaced?

Thanks

Hi Chris, thanks for your enquiry. Unfortunately, the Tempair 3-in-1 is only available with a cool white LED option. This is unable to be swapped to a warm white LED. Kind regards, Michael - BL Customer Service

What do we do if it needs to be replaced in the future? Does the whole unit have to be replaced?

Lucci Air
Lucci Air   DM

Hi Chris, that is correct as it is an integrated LED so cannot be replaced individually. The light has an expected lifespan of approximately 15,000 hours, so depending on usage 10-15 years roughly. If it were to fail whilst under warranty the whole unit would be replaced. If there is an issue with LED it usually shows up early on in its life, hence the 3 year warranty. Kind Regards, Lisa-BL Customer service.

Hi Lisa, Thanks for the prompt response. The electrician who recommended this unit told us that we could choose whatever LED colour we wanted. Now we have 2 x lights that we hate the colour of and no option to replace. Very disappointed. Seems to be a lot of 1 star reviews for this Unit. Now you have another....!

How do you get the glass out to replace the heating elements? Thank you

Good Morning Be'l, to get the glass out you have to remove the fascia or the frame of the unit completely first. Kind Regards, Lisa BL Customer service

I've looked extensively - can't find any online instructions on how to replace heating elements or change LED panel.

Would appreciate some more info.

Hi everyone. I ended up sending another private message about trying to replace the elements & remove the frame, & did get a helpful reply, so will post it here: “Hi Be'l, the frame is clipped on and you put your hands either side, using your fingers you pop the frame/cover off. Regards, Gaile - BL Customer service”. I hope it helps you.
