We had a serious incident with a LUCE Bella 13w dimmable light globe. It started to smoke badly. Luckily I was present and turned off the power supply quickly. The smell of the smoke lingered for a long time. It wasn't the wiring for I replaced it with a new globe and it was fine. The components in the globe failed.

Don't work in my light fittings. A quick flash of light when I first turn them on then nothing. I suspect they're not compatible with my Litelux electronic transformers but I haven't been able to find out who makes them or who distributes them to ask about compatibility. Compatibility can be an issue when replacing MR16 halogens with LEDs Show details

Not fit for purpose – I bought from Bunnings 4 x 4 packs of these that I use for outdoor night lighting (security) around the house. Within 2 months, one by one, all 16 had stopped working. I couldn't believe it to be honest...all 16. These are not fit for sale & should be withdrawn from the market. Show details

Utter junk – I’ve bought several boxes from Bunnings. None of them work. Utter junk. Is there another brand that makes this style of light that isn’t rubbish? Show details

Should be withdrawn for sale – Purchased several boxes from Bunnings, and 3/4 flicker or do not work. Have swapped globes from fittings that work with these globes the problem follows the faulty item. Spend a little more on a reputable brand and save the headache from using a substandard product.

Obsolete within one year – Purchased Luce Bella LED globes (500 lumen 5.5W B15 - GLD165P2) online from Bunnings during 2021 COVID lockdown, to replace old halogen globes in pendant lights. Have tried to purchase replacement globes but this particular globe is no longer stocked by Bunnings and cannot source elsewhere. No manufacturer/wholesaler listed on packet, but phone… Read more

number listed is that of Arlec. They suggested alternative 470 lumen 5.0W as replacement but a different shade of brightness to existing pendant globes. How can a product be obsolete/no longer available within 12 mths of purchase?

Terrible product – As an Electrical Engineer I am incredibly disappointed with this product as virtually every globe fails within a few hours to a few days. They fail initially by flickering at around 25 Hz for a short time then stop functioning. Recommending that you don’t purchase this product.

Luce Bella downlights failed within hours of installation – Purchased lights from Bunnings yesterday to replace Halogens because I was there, one in kitchen dimmed within hours of installation, bathroom lights flickered then one went off completely - all came back to full strength once lights were switched off and on again. Philips LED's purchased earlier in the week have no issues - I guess we should stick with what we know! Show details

Lucy Bella is a poor quality brand. Shame Bunnings stocks it – I run a gallery, bought these to replace a broken one. Guess what, the one I am replacing is a lucy bella. So much for LED lasting so much longer. Will be looking for a more reliable replacement. Not from Bunnings this time. (they should be quality controlling these). I will look for a good review online and buy. Show details

30% Fail Rate – A little disappointed is an understatement. After buying 100* MR16 Light bulbs to swap out in a 80year old friend's house. They all worked be well. John was happy with his new energy saving bulbs. He was super happy to know the existing 50w (5000watts) he was using had been reduced to 500watts. Over a few weeks they began to fault. No at once,… Read more

they stopped operating at random times.

I went back and ran some tests. Checked the Redback drivers- aok. Swapped purchased working bulbs around, to double validate.

It was and is clear something was wrong with a batch of bulbs.

After investing more time carefully setting them aside for Mr Ewens (who has Parkinson's) take the receipt and bulbs back into Burleigh Bunnings for replacement.

The Burleigh Bunnings rejected his request, saying they blew because he did something wrong.

Nearly $500 on bulbs spent, some are faulty and Bunnings Burleigh treated like he was a twit. Why would anybody make up a story like this.....?!?!?.

Anyone know what he can do?

Rubbish – Just rubbish! Bought less then a month ago. Bunnings said it’s more likely that it’s transformers. Replaced transformers from a electrical shop...ditto. Guess it’s Bunnings contribuion to CO2 and waste!!!!

Waste of money. Buy a decent brand instead – I bought loads of these to replace all the halogens in my house. All worked initially, then after a month they started failing. Some flickered, flashing on and off about once per second, and others stopped working completely. After about a year essentially all of them had failed. So its worth spending a bit more and buying a proper brand (Osram, Phillips, etc.) Show details

Junk LED – Bought 4 pack for $21 from Bunnings to replace the last of the halogen downlight. None lasted more than 1 month. The ones I previously installed, different brand, are still going strong after 2 years. Show details

Rubbish - Don't buy – Purchased from Bunnings on the 22nd June and lasted less than 1 month. Will return today and buy another premium brand sold there that I have used before and never had any issues with. Only purchased this as they were out of stock of other brand. Will never buy this brand again. Show details

Poor quality – Two of the four led globes failed within a few weeks. Like so much at Bunnings, low prices are just the beginning. Just remember, the bitterness of poor quality last longer than the sweetness of low price... Show details

They don't last – Beware buying these globes from Bunnings. They are supposed to last 1000's of hours but l am consistently getting much less. Globes are lasting for months instead of years. If you do buy them, my advice is to keep the receipt as Bunnings will exhange them ( grudgingly in some cases, after telling me its my electricity that is bad) but for the hassle and longevity, maybe try another brand.
