I thought I was dealing with professionals & bought a VERY EXPENSIVE frame with the expectation that they would supply lenses the same as the glasses I was wearing at the time. I ended up with $1200 specacles that are unwearable.

A professional optometrist with an excellent range of frames and great service – This is a proper optometrist with great service, care and patience. They got my prescrition exactly right. No one else has been able to do that in all the years Ive been wearing glasses The range of frames is also very impressive. They seem to have exactly what you want and know what suits you (and what doesn't) If you need glasses, this is the only place you need to go.

quality care and products – I've been going to Macleay Optics for years. They offer quality service, including helpful follow up if there are any problems or issues. They also offer a good range of frames.

Very costly – Macleay Optics charge a consultation fee of $130 less Medicare rebate (about $55) for eye test plus was given quote for progressive/transition lenses - $900 and 2nd quote $720. Thought this to be very expensive compared to what my friends are charged at other optometrists. Will not go there again
