Macro Organic Pitted Dates

I recently purchased a 500g package of Macro organic pitted dates from Woolworths, Oxenford, QLD. Upon inspection, I found the dates to be squashed, flattened, and dry, with a distinct prune-like odor. While the product may be economically priced, the compromised quality renders it unsuitable for consumption due to safety reasons. I cannot recommend this product.
