l use to buy this gravy all the time, lately l had just been purchasing the Roast Meat Satchels but decided to buy the Rich Gravy Mix 2kg tub again. Very disappointed, l had to use so much to get it thickened, more than usual, it tasted a lot saltier and not as rich as it use to be. Such a Shame Maggi has obviously tweaked with it. Show details
Forget Gravox or Bisto. I've found "Maggi Rich Gravy Mix" a traditional beef powdered gravy mix, easy to prepare, is vegan, and has a 12-month shelf life. It mixes with boiling water easily and makes a rich thick beef instant gravy. online on Amazon $31 for the 2kg or around $20 for 1kg or through selected outlets, which is excellent value considering what you pay for a little tub of Bisto now. It's the best gravy mix around, rich, beefy and of course you can mix it to whatever consistency you want. This is great gravy and highly recommended. (It also available in Chicken flavour but I've not tried that yet!) It certainly puts tasteless Bisto and Gravox to shame.
