Excellent – I have had my charger now for over 18 months and use Powerex and Varta rechargeables in it. Between home and office I have 5 different battery chargers and I don't think you could buy a better battery charger. It is a little large to take when I travel, however when I get home the batteries get cycled to keep them in optimum condition. If you are a control freak, this is the charger for you. This charger allows you to set most parameters for charging and even discharging. If the batteries are a bit tired you can even get it to do multiple cycles to freshen them up.

A large clear display lets you know exactly what is going on and you can check each slot whilst charging. When charging first starts (for about a minute) the unit emits a very high pitched (although quiet) noise. I never noticed it at home, however in the office the unit is on my desk and about 50cm from my right ear.
