Long life, reliable tool – Hard to believe but I purchased mine in 1982 and it's still as good as ever, 35 years later - the only problem is the rubber coating on the cord perished after all this time. Easy replacement and good for another 20 years!

Good – This is the best quality jigsaw that i have owned. I burnt out a dewalt and a cheaper makita jigsaw and now have this one and it is going strong after about 5 years. Qaulity Makita Jigsaw very heavy duty able to cut nearly anything without any trouble. Is fairly basic in design compared to other models(less features)
