Makita Dust Extractor DVC750LZX1

Excellent for maintenance work clean ups – It is expensive vacuum for what it is, but when you already have all the 18 volt Makita batteries then you really wouldn't go past this as a general wet and dry clean up vacuum. It has good suction for a battery vacuum but not really enough for serious extraction of dust from tools. It does work well enough for inside dust collection of minor construction works and begin HEPA 2 is big plus. It is well built and not to noisy. It has a fairly big capacity for dust and liquids. Accessories are stored on the unit which is very handy. Shoulder strap is useful as the hose is really short, which suits me mostly but probably not everyone. It does use a battery fairly quickly on full suction but when you have lots of batteries this isn't really a problem :) Best thing about Makita tools is you can easily access accessories, parts and consumables at a reasonable price.
Purchased in at Sydney Tools for $299.
Worst tool ever! – For an L class dust extractor ended up being a useless machine. The "2-meter" hose has a built is spring so when you walk half a meter from the machine, the machine follows you (or falls to the floor) so it's not a realistic 2-meter hose. I ended up having to use it with the shoulder strap which became very uncomfortable to be able to be sanding walls and not bash the wall with it. After 15 minutes of usage, the room was a cloud of dust which made me literally yell "WORST TOOL EVER!". I had to fully wash the filter, which makes it very unpractical to be able to work having to clean the filter every now and then. I ended up sending it back and I don't really care if they give me my money back or not, I will never use it again. This experience REALLY put me off Makita products and from now on I'll be looking into reviews more throughly before buying a new power tool.
