Brand new jigsaw. Using a guide to cut square a marbeu deck at a 45 degree. The cut was not square. The blade keeps on travelling sideways making the cut non parallel with the guide. Can you please explain why the roller that supports the blade has side play. Which might be one of the reasons.

Hi, I am seriously contemplating buying this saw. Would you mind telling me what issues you found which you were not impressed about please? I note that both reviews gave four and not five stars. Thank you, regards John.

It was a first impression. I dont use jigsaws that often but it worked well. I dont like giving 5 stars unless I am confident it deserves it and I hadnt used it enough. It cut straight and true on a hardwood like jarrah, I think it will do most jobs. I havent used it on metal. It is solid and appears to be built to last.

Hi, the only problems I found were the ones I mentioned in my review - no light, the blower doesn't work at low speeds and it tends to cut slightly angled. The only thing I'd change if I were buying again would be that I'd probably allocate more budget now that I've realized how good jigsaws can be but, at this price, I can't fault it really.

Thanks very much for that. Your comment about cutting at something less than 90 degrees was what prompted me to ask the question. I'm looking at a Bosch GST 140 CE at the moment. It should be the "Rolls Royce" in that area as it has "double rollers" to guide the blade. Much appreciated, regards John.
