Works but complex – Works well enough, however for a cooking adjustable thermometer with alarm as it's purpose it is as complicated as you can get.It will not conect with my HUAWEI phone.Works with iphone.

Not a problem – Maybe I have just fluked a good one from reading all these reviews, I had no issues setting it up and pairing with my iPhone 6s. me to place the probe right in the centre. It came out a treat, tonight im trying a scotch fillet roast so we will see. Maybe its early days with it but haven't found any problems so far.

Have used regularly for 18 months – Purchased 18 months ago from Bunnings and primarily used when cooking large cuts under the hood on the bbq, where the long lead is very useful. Original battery is still working ok ( yes I unplug the probe after use) Have enjoyed perfect cooking results on Turducken and Lamb roast on the BBQ which I always find difficult due to poor heat control under the BBQ hood. Have even used on Fillet steak in the pan ( not really necessary) and perfect results. Great value for money as you don't need a mobile phone to use the probe

Disappointing – As with the other reviews on here, does not meet the product description brief. Bought at Bunnings 2022. Bluetooth not an issue with the app and IPhone connection. cook with it, replaced battery and low batt error remained. Pressed reset button for zero result. It never worked again. Its going back to Bunnings tomorrow. They can test it in the sausage sizzle tent.

Should not be on the market - useless – Often drops connection and requires GPS location to use the app. Why? Should only require Bluetooth. Requires unreasonable permissions. Among other things, it looks to access location, contacts, other running apps and media/photos. It's a meat thermometer! None of those are relevant. Magnetic mounting is useless as magnets are extremely weak. Do yourself a favor and spend a bit ore to get something reliable.

Appears to work. But! – No problem using the thermometer BT connection etc. But, after a few uses I checked the accuracy and it displays boiling water at 80 degrees. No replacement as I thought it was working and didn’t keep the receipt and Bunnings won’t help if the product has a fault and you don’t keep proof of purchase. Bluetooth connection fix! – Took me a while to get the Bluetooth to connect. I found if you push the small reset button at the back of the unit, then try again it will connect. Can also try turning the wifi and data off on your phone to make the initial connection easier. The range is not great and if it drops out you need to connect again. Bluetooth issues asside it works well as temp probe for the money. More expensive items at 2-3 times price will probably work better. Show details

Don't waste your time – It is fully dependant on being connected to the phone App. It takes several attempts to pair it to my Android phone. After pairing it loses contact with the phone. To re-pair, the thermometer and App have to be turned off and reset. I have not finnished a meal with it. I am returning it Bunnings.  Show details

Waste of money – It does work, but it's not great. It wouldn't pair to my phone, and the app itself with a 2 hour timer set just kept going. Save your money and either buy just a basic $10 one, or spend the extra few dollars on one that works. Well worth it, especially when you're cooking up meat that's $20-30 a kilo.

Don’t waste your time or money – Wish I read the reviews before wasting my time, got it home, got everything fired up then got it out of the packet and nothing. Lasted 3 cooks – Wouldn’t buy another one. Bought from bunnings for $50.00 lasted three cooks then had “peripheral energy issues” whatever that means. Device and my iPhone app didn’t have a very good relationship and didn’t stay connected. AWFUL – Easily the WORST thermometer I have ever used. Barely worked for three cooks (constantly turning itself off at random points during the cook) then completely failed on the fourth by saying it was out of battery when I had just put a fresh one in. Don't waste your time – Won't even turn on. The probe is connected, and battery fine, but the touch screen power button is useless. If you push the reset button each time it will turn on, and of course the power button won't turn it off. taking all the other ones off the shelves when I return this one and crushing them flat so that nobody else can get sucked in to buying one. It's even too light to use as a paperwieght. Don't buy this, although if you're here looking at these reviews you're probably not going to anyway.

Don't buy this product – Functions intermittently. Design is flawed. Pressing LCD doesn't work well Over priced. Disconnects in approximately 3m. Replaced with new batteries and shuts off instantly. Woeful – If it can't stand the heat, it shouldn't be in the kitchen. Set up easy, initial operation just fine, then, as temp on the charcoal grill rose, it froze. 'HHH'?? Did not live up to expectations – Purchased from Bunnings after seeing 4/5 star reviews on the BCF website. The unit refuses to remain paired to the smart phone. Several times the connection was reset to try get it to work on a brand new iPhone. No success. It will read air ambient temperature well but once inserted into what you're cooking it's not accurate (when it does work). Now on the hunt for a similar unit that is better quality. Show details

you'd be better off spending a smidge more - have returned one already – first one broke. Screen wouldn't on/off - not a great design there. Second one works better. However the integration with the app/bluetooth system is pretty bad, either of the two apps. 1.8kg roast beef. The temp gauge was sitting on 6 degrees at first, which would be about right by the time i seasoned the beef and popped it in the smoker. I checked my phone, and the app had crashed. Started the app again, hit start and set my end temp threshold. I walked 4 steps away from the BBQ, and it disconnected. Ugh, repair and restart the stopwatch and meat temp.

Overall, I used it for two cooks then took it back to Bunnings for a refund. OMG, I have never been so betrayed in a purchase (except with Digital purchases with Bethesda! Don't get me started on those thieves!) Bunnings were great, asked what was wrong with it, i explained how it doesn't work as advertised, showed them this site, and then said that perhaps they should just return the remaining stock they had to their supplier for prompt destruction. They aren't worth $10, let alone the $49.95 RRP. Anyway, if you bought one, I'm sorry but you have grabbed the wrong device. There is nothing wrong with my Galaxy S8 phone and bluetooth, as I have my Gear S3 paired with it constantly with no dropouts, and with my PowerBeats BT headphones. In fact, all devices i have paired on my phone give me about a 20M radius from my phone before getting choppy.

I just bought a 6 probe INKBIRD unit from Amazon for <$90 delivered, and it has an average of 4.4 stars. I'll put a review of that device when it arrives in a few days time.

Agree that this should be taken off the shelves – I bought one from Bunnings and went well the first time. Terrible product – Tried using this once in a 2kg lamb shoulder and the temp was completely off. It basically said the meat was cooked after 5 minutes! Took it straight back for a refund. Show details

Garbage – The first one I purchased worked only once Bluetooth kept dropping out. Took it back and exchanged it. This one I got home and checked to make sure it was going to work, yep all good. Left it for a week. Went to use it for the first time, wouldn’t turn on so I changed the battery and it turned on. Pretty sure the battery shouldn’t have to be changed when the bloody thing is only a week old and never been used

Waste of money – Didn’t last 6months wouldn’t stay paired unless I sat near it. Would turn off intermittently. Ya try and buy from local shops but there stuff is rubbish and cost twice as much. Next one will be online just like most of my stuff now.

Total rubbish and a waste of $50 – What a waste of money! The wired unit reports the temperature accurately but won't stay paired with my Samsung tablet. False advertising!!! – Bought this thermometer in good faith as it advertised it worked with both android and iPhone. Does not pair with my android smartphone. Thankfully, and a small saving grace (otherwise I would have rated a 1) is that I can also use my iPad Wouldn’t recommend this thermometer

Wish I read this first – This is unit is rubbish. Will not connect to bluetooth, can be used only as a wired thermometer. Bluetooth symbol periodically comes on for a short time and off again as if to tease, but doubt bluetooth works at all.

Shocking – Got 3 cooks out of it, now it wont take charge, going in the bin
