Hi I have recently arrived in Australia from NZ. I am looking to invest but am very nervous having had a bad experience their even though I had heaps of assurances I could not lose a cent. Can someone who has invested with Maxiron for many years give me their experience. This way it is independent. Thanks.

Hi Martin You can Read my review here https://www.productreview.com.au/reviews/37c18b48-09f2-5f96-9154-fbee28e14b4e If you live in Sydney I suggest you make Contact with Ray Saedi at Maxiron (Head of Investor Relations) or email Maxiron & attn your email to Ray or ring him all details on their web site. external link  Let him know that you read my review & you would like more info. I have been with Maxiron for two years now going into my third year. Read their PDS & nothing is guaranteed in life but they are a real company / real office Darling Park Level 22, Tower 2, 201 Sussex St, Sydney NSW 2000 The Trust is registered with Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) with Australian registered scheme number being 618 038 609. Search the Internet they are an Australian company but a chat and/or a visit with Ray Saedi is harmless and will help you make your own decision, that's what I did & I live in Melbourne. Hope this helps you.

Would 400000$be safe if invested for a year

Mark P

Hi Gary, I would hope so. Just remember there's no government guarantee on this investment. Obviously I don't know your situation but I the way I think is only invest what you can afford to loose.

Hi Gary, i've been with them for TWO years, just start small get to know them and then go as much as you wish. If you live in Sydney I suggest you make an Appointment and visit them and see for yourself. I was in Sydney on business and that's what I did, met with a gentleman call Ray and gave me and my wife a presentation answered my wife's questions. The only investments that are guaranteed are banks up tp $250K & that's the taxpayer, when they say Government guaranteed. Nothing is Guaranteed read PDS's and only take the risk you are prepared to take no-one can TELL you where to put YOUR money. I have found Maxiron to be true to what they say and what I read. Use the Internet to help yourself as well as MONEY Magazine and the Financial Review is a couple of tips. Hope this helps you.

Is there any recent reviews, it all sounds a bit dodgy

Joanna

Hi Groodle, I had my divorce settlement in Maxiron for three years and I couldn't have been happier with the service. I opted to get a monthly payment of the interest and I used it as income while on maternity leave. Was great! Then when I wanted to take all the money out at the end of term there were no issues and I still got my interest that month. Let me know if you have any more questions.

The fact that all the reviews are five stars, with similar wording and from people with no other reviews should be enough of an answer.

Are earnings subject to capital gains tax?

alanbrae

Like bank interest it becomes part of your taxable income. No capital gains, I compound my interest and only the interest is subject to your normal taxable income.

Just wanting to know also how the pandemic has impacted on investments with Maxiron. I am hesitating on making a potential investment because of this.

Are deposits guaranteed by the Australian Government guarantee

Clifton
Clifton

Hi Wayne, the deposit guarantee by the Australian Gov't applies to only the banks but not the non bank institutions. Nevertheless, Maxiron Group has been operating since 2002 and we are pleased to advise that no investor has ever lost any capital or interest return with us. It maybe useful to also mention that the Maxiron Monthly Income Trust is registered with ASIC and the ARSN (Australian Registered Scheme Number) is 618038609. With our strong experience and demonstrated expertise, funds in the Maxiron Monthly Income Trust are lent into a pool of Australian businesses by way of secured mortgages via a lender against real estate; providing multiple layers of investor protection.

Can you be more specific about the multible layers as you are not clear?

Is investors money insured when a borrower from a company goes bankrupt?

Clifton
Clifton

Hi Myles, with our strong experience and demonstrated expertise, funds in the Maxiron Monthly Income Trust are lent into a pool of Australian businesses by way of secured mortgages via a lender against real estate; providing multiple layers of investor protection. In the event a borrower goes bankrupt, which hardly happens in our portfolios, we can always sell the security property to recover the debt.

Hi, with the real estate market in Australia going down, would that indicate that borrowers from Maxiron are at risk of loss and would that m are our investment more risky at this moment?

Clifton
Clifton

Hi Jin, it is our standard policy to complete a valuation report of each property that is used as security for the loan. Moreover, currently our average loan to value ratio is only around 60% and the the mortgage we offer are only for a short term basis (3-6 months in average). Thus, the risk is effectively mitigated.
