A company and product to be aware of! – I purchased two heaters for personal use, the purchases and delivery went smoothly. One heater had plastic damage on inspection on arrival, all advised parts complete. The installation is a replacement fit. Both heaters have the identical manufacturing defect, inaccuracy. Once installation was complete the function of the unit ignights deisle… Read more

fuel, then the heat is transferred via a fan creating heat basically. The heater requires 12 volt power, it's normal operation voltage range is between 9-16 volts. Any voltage below or above seems to have the ability to create a fault referred to as low/high voltage, this voltage is displayed as is any fault recorded via a LCD control panel.

Now, one of the manufacturing defects it has reads voltage inaccuratly, voltage can also fluctuate eraticly. The inaccuracy is up to +/- 2.1 volts during its function, this is displayed on the LCD control compared to the actual 12 volt stable power supply reading that may be 13 volts up to 14.8 that does not fluctuate for example.

To explain in more detail, if the power supply reads 12 volt stable, the heater LCD control can read 9.9 volts up to 14.1 volts.

If the battery is a 12 volt power supply that holds 13.1 to 14.8 volts the LCD control display voltage inaccuracy and fluctuation creates a high voltage fault as its manufacturing defect can read the voltage above normal operating range up to 16 volts, it then turns off unesseserly.

Another manufacturing defect is associated with the automatic altitude adjustment (elevation above sea level measurement in meters. This to my understanding assist the heater self adjust the fuel supply to a oxygen calculation to assist the heater preventing over fuleing also a flame out. The altitude ( elevation) displayed on the LCD control can read as much as 200 metres inaccurate. So it cannot possibly function accurately.

I will endeavour to find any further issues with further operational use at different altitude (elevation) also battery voltage.

I have found the communication with Maxpeedingrods aftersales (warranty) to be ignorant of questions asked, not formal in providing specifics also misleading.
