Here’s an alternative to Barry L’s 1-star review! As a single person, I often look for good quality, easily reheatable pre-cooked meals. I personally define “good quality” as being a product that’s close to what it says on the can; looks and tastes good; cooks correctly according to its stated instructions; and most importantly, is consistent over time - it’s not sometimes good, but sometimes bad.

I’ve used this product on a regular basis for several years, and find that it satisfies all the above. My only criticism is exactly what Barry L. says - it doesn’t seem to include much actual tuna! But the packaging says that each full serve has 24g of protein, and that won’t come from flavouring only.

Personally, I reheat this product according to its stated instructions, but then mash-in some pieces of cut-up smoked salmon that I purchased separately. I’m happy to do that. So I was originally going to rate this product 5 stars. But I understand Barry L’s concern, and so will drop my rating to 4 stars. Personally I think that 1 star is way too brutal and inaccurate.

Tuna Mornay . . Not Quite. This Frozen Meal is pasta Noodles with a Tuna flavour. If you can find a piece of Tuna in this meal it will be the size of a grain of sand. To be honest , , I could make what exists in this package with some pasta and tipping out the juice from a can of Tuna, being careful not to let any chunks fall into the bowl . . . add a lttle parsley and . .DONE . . 50 cents . .TOPS. For McCain, with bulk buying ingredients , , 10 to15 cents a box. This meal ? costs $6,50.
