McKenzie's Australian Natural Sea Salt Grinder

I will not be buying a Mackenzie salt grinder again. I usually refill my Woolworths brand one but it was in storage. The lid won’t stay on and the grinder top has fallen off three times when I’ve been grinding salt on to fish and salt has poured out. It also grind the salt too finely for my liking. I’ll be buying a Woolworths brand one next time as I’ve never had any trouble with them.

Can be refilled, but not easily! – It is dishonest of McKenzies to advertise these grinders are 'refillable' when they build in two stoppers to prevent you doing just that. It is not accidental that they can't easily be opened. False advertising.

Can't get the top off please HELP – Well I can't get the top off my salt grinder the 400 G one to refill it . Could you please tell me how.

Useless – Claims to be refillable - but it can’t. Here is McKenzie Foods reason, if you can believe it. Never received there offer of replacement. “Thank you for contacting and sharing your feedback. 1. We have checked samples from various best before dates and we understand where you are coming from. 2. These products are packed in high-speed line and quality checks are carried out frequently. Our operators perform visual checks on product from the line for seal and packaging integrity every 30 minutes. These measures are in place to ensure that we only pack the highest quality product for our consumers. 3. Temperatures during packaging moulding and injecting can also affect the diameter of the lid and grinder head. It is also possible a slight variation on the lid or grinder pieces, caused at the time of forming, could have caused the lid fitting too tight to the jar.

We sincerely apologise of the inconvenience caused. Please be assured that your findings have been communicated to our Packaging Specialist to keep monitoring our packaging performance for improvement.
