Very poor quality. Was only used 5 times to cook tomahawk steaks and the tip came off when was cleaning it and now no longer works. Chef solutions said it was outside warranty however was a present given to me in March 2025. No 12 month warranty which isn’t legal as far as I am aware. They offered me a 13% discount to purchase a new 1. Why bother if they give you a month if it stuffs up.? Show details
Don’t waste your money. Great when it works but that’s a rare occurrence. For the price it’s a disgrace. It keeps saying ‘move the probe closer’ and the probe is literally 20cm from the cook - new batteries - the lot. This was a present from my wife and it’s very distressing to tell her the $200 she spent was a complete waste of money. Show details
How to ruin Xmas lunch, use a Meater Probe !! – The probe only connects when it feels like it, drops out and produces different temps when compared with the old faithful meat temp probe. Show details
Never worked – From the moment it came out the box the ambient temperature has never been accurate. It’s actually miles out!! I don’t recommend this product. Show details
Quality is not as good as it should be – The meater plus I have is over10 degrees out. The app is all over the place it goes from 10 hours left to 15 minutes left and back to 10 hours where experience tells me it's got about an hour left. It disconnects frequently even if I'm in the same room as it. Very disappointing and I would not recommend at all. Show details
Poor customer service – Purchased original product 4 years ago. Worked well until it didn't and I had need for support. Emails back and forth from company not understanding the problem. Numerous attempts with no progress. Frustrating! Show details
Never received the thermometer – I bought the original Meater with oven mittens from the MEATER website and only received the oven mittens. Contacted customer support and they never followed up. Disappointing. This company seems to be unreliable. Buyers beware Show details
Don’t bother trying this – We have tried this four times now and it never worked. Used it for the last time yesterday cooking a roast pork. Thank goodness we ignored the app and stopped cooking the pork when we did as it was just a little over cooked but according to the app and prong it still had 180 minutes to go. It would have been distorted by then. Complete waste of $200. Show details
Not Practical for BBQ use – Just to make customers aware that the use of the thermometer while cooking a BBQ is not always practical. It is very fragile. For example, The warranty will become void if you using the thermometer to do the typical seared Aussie BBQ! unless ---cooking the steak on low and slow and then taking the very hot probs out and then searing them on high heat.
