Merrell Men's Moab Speed 2
Verified1 review
Merrell shoes are renowned for being some of the lightest shoes on the planet. For walking or hiking, this is really important. As an Australian, you have to be aware that they use American sizing, so for men, you have to go a size larger to actually match the Australian sizing. (14US is 13AUS) Now, their website is great, and their shoes in general are great, but one of the faults I find is that they seem to believe that no matter how long your foot is, the width will always stay the same, which means if you have large feet, to get a shoe that fits you, it will end up squashing your foot sideways. I can live with this negative point, but I truly wish whoever does their designing, who I assume has very small feet, would educate themselves in the size of the human anatomy. Or maybe American men all have dainty narrow feet??
I downrated them in my review also, as they contacted me with a link to review the product I purchased, which happens often from many retailers and manufacturers these days. However, normally, when you click on a review link, you are taken to a page, most commonly a Google or Product Review page, to report on your purchase experience and their product.
But Merrell's link takes you to a page where they expect you to agree to terms and conditions before leaving a review??
Sorry, if you want honest reviews, you do not start by having terms and conditions.
I will still buy Merrell shoes, as I like them, even if they do squish my feet sideways, but I leave my honest review of things and do not intend to agree to any companies terms and conditions.
