Long-Standing Client and always Satisfied with the Results – I’ve been a client of Method Constructions for many years across multiple projects. I’ve found them to be a professional Building Construction Company that I will continue to partner with.

Unsafe and untrustworthy – Had a near death experience when the balcony door locked itself and left me stranded on the third floor balcony. This company refused to take liability and instead blamed it on “user error”

Andy, When we meet to review your concerns, we did take this matter seriously. After COVID-19 Restrictions lifted in Melbourne, we arranged an Inspection. The matter was taken seriously and we gathered a professional cross-collaborative team to inspect the issue you faced. At this meeting was the Property Agent, Director, Maintenance Manager, Door/Window Sub-contractor and yourself. The concern you had was reviewed and tests were conducted in a vacant apartment, to limit the disruption. As you know all Doors & Window’s installed must meet Australian Standards. This is the case, with what has been installed in your apartment. After discussing this with you further it was agreed to make minor adjustments, that still meet Australian Standards. We do take Safety Seriously and we gained the trust of a cross-collaborative team in addressing your concern. Regards, Method.

Hoping this helps someone else! – I recently received the keys to a brand new apartment, constructed/overseen by Method Constructions. I'm not sure where to even begin with the laundry list of issues, both cosmetic and with the actual build. Plus the 15 month delay on top of the expected build time. Plus the refusal to communicate, when purchased it was advertised that we would have some choices in finishes, they just went ahead and did what they wanted.

The poor workmanship is obvious the second you walk in the door, bad plaster work, bad use of space, absolutely terrible paintwork, paint on floor boards and windows, render splashed all over the place, cracks already visible, parts of walls with huge chunks taken out, a neighbour told me they forgot to paint some her wall!

Quite a few parts supposed to be included where just left off, Issues with the fire safety of the building, and the place is absolutely filthy! the common area toilet even having walls sprayed with feces, the exterior of the building is a far cry from the pretty picture they have on their website! six foot high grass and covered in vandalism.

Im basically leaving this so hopefully if you try and google them.....like i did...that you read this and maybe if you have a second option, go with that!

Thank you for taking the time to provide Method Constructions with this valuable feedback. We’re concerned to hear that you had such a bad experience with a new apartment. Many of the listed items described are at the direction of other Businesses and outside of our control.

To explain, Method constructs a building at the direction of a client, to set time frames and against a pre-approved design. As the builder, we don’t own the apartments and do not manage sales contracts, changes to finishes or body corporate issues.

Method builds to Australian Standards, National Construction Code and final approved documentation. As a responsible and experienced construction company we would not leave something off a building that is documented or deliver a substandard product. In addition, all buildings we deliver are checked for defects by multiple parties prior to being handed over to the end user/purchaser. If any minor defects exist, we always address them.

By legislation, a builder cannot handover an unfinished or non-compliant building to the end user for occupation. In fact, it is the client’s Financer, the RBS and Project Superintendent who makes the final inspection of the building before settlement. Like Method, they would not approve the delivery of a defective or non-compliant building. The damage and lack of maintenance you described in common and public areas may have taken place post project completion. Ongoing maintenance issues of common and public areas should be directed to your Body Corporate accordingly.

We strive to deliver exceptional customer service and we would be happy to assist you further if required. To do so we ask that you contact us directly and let us know which project this review is in relation to. Once we understand your concerns, we can work with you to direct the issues you raised to each relevant party or take action accordingly.

Kind Regards,

The Team at Method Constructions
