I went to metro at Fyshwick because the web site said u98 fuel for 184.9. I filled up and it was 189.9. The guy behind the counter struggled to speak English, kept saying Whyalla st, but the last time I looked Barrier st is in Fyshwick. No joy. Won't be back

Worst Fuel mixed with water – I filled up 91 octane in my corolla from Metro at Saint Andrews. After 10 km my car started giving jerks. Went to mechanic to diagnose the issue. Turned out to be contaiminated fuel with water. I went to Metrol Gas station to compalin but they refused to acknowledge. Location is Saint Andrews South.
Pump over metering – My car has a capacity of 50L, so how can I get charged 51.22 L? Just go somewhere else unless you want to lose $5 everytime you fill up
Washed Up - First And Last Time – Paid $14 for a Premium Car Wash at Metro Petroleum, Old Cleveland Road, Capalaba on 29-1-2023 after flock of birds pooped on car day before. Car came out of car wash with bird poo still on so I got some paper towel and water from the servo forecourt and for the next 15 minutes or so, scrubbed it off by hand. I then went to the console, explained… Read more
to the same attendant that the wash didn’t remove the poo; that I had now done it by hand; and then courteously asked for a credit in the form of a $10 basic wash so I could put the car through again and rid of the loosened poo.
Was told it couldn’t be done and that I would have to pay $14 again for what I had already paid for. I said I was just after a basic $10 rinse off wash., not $14. “Can’t be done”.
This was my first and last time at the Metro Capalaba. Only went there because my regular wash on Wynnum Road closed down for a redevelopment of the site. They were sensational and used then for about 10 years.
Yes, on my way out the door, I did colorfully advise the attendant that this response was pathetic. Probably should not have done so but hey, you don’t need a degree in marketing or law to know that failing to provide a service to a reasonable level of expectation falls well short of the grade.
Water in fuel...costed $9,800 to fix on one year old van – I filled up my van from Miranda Metro petrol station and the van stopped and water was found. I got it fixed paying $910 to Hyundai delaer and $8,800 to a diesel mechanic. The car sat down in garages for 6weeks until I pay the cost myself because the petrol station denies the problem with their petrol. I had statements from both the dealer and the… Read more
mechanic and the diesel in problem was collected into a sealed container as an evidence. I lodged a complaint to government department of environment for fuel quality check and at the same time to fair trading. Look what I found from the station's screen! They were selling petrol when the pump was realy low and the warning sign was on. They had to stop selling petrol when the pump is empty as You know. Once again, it is MIRANDA METRO PETROLEUM selling petrol full of water. Please beware of this station. I talked to the owner and he said he doesn't care whether I spread this issue and show the photo!!

Metro Urangan, Hervey Bay. Unleaded 91 – My first visit to a Metro Petroleum when visiting a friend at Hervey Bay. Best price available in the Bay area. A fairly small service station but no complaints, friendly staff, clean & well maintained shop.
Save up to 40 cents per litre on fuel with METRO Petroleum – Our group uses a lot of fuel of all types. Metro and the other independents are always cheaper sometimes by as much as 40 cents per litre. This was particularly noticeable during the school holidays where the gap between the Majors and the Independents was consistently large. Driving along Gardeners Road this week, the 2 majors were advertising… Read more
E10 at over $1.60 and the Independents were just over $1.20. This month (February 2021) is the first time I have paid over $1.10 per litre in Sydney having filled for 12 months at between $0.90 and $1.099 for 12 month (Diesel and E10). It seems to me the Majors are participating in a Fuel Cartel where they practice Retail Price Maintenance to the detriment of the road user. Support the Independents to ensure there is competition in fuel prices.

Metro Hamsted Garden, Adelaide. 323 North East Rd. They are theives, I tapped my credit card at 11:37pm for fuel and 3 hours after, I noticed 2 dodgy transactions one from Haiti Airline and second Lufhtansa appeared on my credit card statement with the same merchant number as fuel from Metro Hamspted Garden. I reported to Police but you know, don't expect anything from them !
Purchased a white chocolate bar & was driving along when I tore the top off the wrapper only to have white powder pour all over my black shorts & black seat cover. I’ve never seen anything like it. Totally disintegrated. I turned around immediately to return the damaged goods & notify them as the whole box of chocolate bars could’ve been the same.… Read more
The woman behind the counter looked at the date & refused to replace or refund as it wasn’t out of date. Absolutely disgusting! Steer clear of Metro Petroleum Jurien Bay, there’s other choices close by.

Metro Rosebery sold me contaminated diesel fuel - AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! – Metro Rosebery sold me contaminated Diesel fuel - AVOID THESE FUEL STATIONS. My car was running perfectly and had just undergone a major service. After filling up at METRO Rosebery, the engine started making a loud knocking noise and idled rough. I had the car towed to our authorised Land Rover service centre who confirmed the fuel was contaminated. Very expensive fill at a discount fuel station. Really not worth it!!!

Cunnig and Tricky Metro Franchise – Not good franchise business. The owners (Metro Petroleum Head Office) talk nicely till they get your money. After taking money they are very very rude and shrewd cunning and tricky. They will squeeze your head under their arm pit and NO escape for you!! beware!!
Illusion of saving money – It is an illusion that consumers will save money purchasing this fuel. Due to lower quality, the fuel does not last as long as other fuels. Therefore, you are filling up more regularly. I have tested this over 2+ months with my vehicle. I compared kilometres on a full tank multiple times. It is NOT worth your time or money. You will pay more by filling up more regularly.
Metro servo West Gosford, what a mess! – Worst service and product that I have experienced in my life! Metro servo station at West Gosford. Rude customer service and Diesel fuel contamination! I have to take my vehicle to the workshop and paid $250 for filter cleaning! Don't be fooled by the fuel price! While it's cheap, perhaps the quality is cheap too!
**Think before you refill your tank**METRO SUNNYHOLT - BLACKTOWN - NSW ** – **Think before you refill your tank**METRO SUNNYHOLT - BLACKTOWN - NSW ** Price is cheap here, so is the quality. we had contaminated fuel issue on August 2023. After all inspection that were carried out it was the Petrol stations fault that the fuel was contaminated. Customer service from this pump is close to no where. We are still awaiting on… Read more
refund from the owner " ****** ***** " from the incident that happened in August 2023. ** YOU GET CHEAP FUEL PRICE & THEN A YOU PAY FOR CONTAMINATED FUEL TOO ***
Eftpos surcharge – The fuel isn't much cheaper than the bigger fuel companies, any money you do save disappears In a surcharge for using their eftpos/ pay wave.
Overcharge – I filled up with 98 octane fuel at Metro Coburg North. The pump showed it came to exactly $60. When I arrived home I checked my credit card online and saw I had been charged $60.30 (15.10.23). Why?
Cant pumps up tyres at Metro Eagleby?? – Metro Eagleby, you have to ask where can I pump up tyres? Round the back! I arrived there and there was no nozzle? Walked back to ask, no nozzle?. Why didnt girl give me nozzle when I queried?? Here you are, says girl, when again i walked back in? People steal the nozzle? As I am a female over 70yrs I could not click together hose to nozzle. Bad bowser labelling – I recently accidentally put Ad Blue into my diesel tank.at Meyro Tuggerah NSW.Cost me$1600 to rectify. When complained to the attendant re poor labelling I was simply told it wàs marked by a blue flash on front of the bowser which could have meant anything. The bowser was labelled but around on the side where you don't look.

Snacks at Service Stations – Don't buy snacks from any Metro service stations. Muffin had no label. One hot snack was so hard I could have broken my teeth. One large doughnut had no expiry date. Too common for snacks to have no expiry date. I would recommend buying fuel but avoid buying snacks.
Worst fuel ever – Hello, W hy your franchisees selling contaminated fuel in the name of cheapest fuel. I had worst experience from Your site in Glenroy Victoria where fuel was contaminated with water and it cost me 1600 to get my brand new car fixed. even i rang and email metro petroleum head office but never heard back from anyone. very disappointed
Lazy staff – I’ve tried to refill gas at the Chatswood, eastern valley way store on numerous occasions. Every time it feels like I’m an inconvenience. I understand it requires the attendant leaving there till for a few minutes. Today I filled with fuel +$160 was the only one on the forecourt and was told I’d need to come back in an hour or two to have my gas bottle filled. Just lazy staff with no reason that it couldn’t be done there and then.
Tried to get fuel Account for my business – Tried to get fuel Account on line didn't work , Tried to call them couldn't help and give me a number to try which they put me back to them .. Got to hard and waste of my time so I got a BP card on line very easy.
Will NEVER EVER tank at Metro again ! – Have been tanking fuel at metro Capalaba for months but after tanking Wednesday car was undriveable. Will need to have fuel tank emptied etc etc will cost heaps. Will never ever tank there again.
Faulty pump spilt precious diesel everywhere and did not stop when full – On pump three in Metro Petroleum Fyshwick Canberra I thought I was saving a couple of cents however after the unit turning on and off and flowing like a trickle and than fast the pump did not cut off after it was full spilling fuel everywhere all over the car and ground wasting who knows how much. No offer of help. The pump was not labelled faulty… Read more
and the attendant could not care less as he probably gets chewed out all day about it. Pretty poor service so I will never visit that place again. Not worth the couple of cents. Stay away. As you can see by other reviews you might end of with water in your fuel costing you more then a few dollars of spill. Stay away from these dodgy outlets. Now learnt my lesson.
I’d been going for ages – This was exclusively my petrol station for a very long time. Recently my car has had some severe issue with the fuel injectors that is going to cost a lot.
Contaminated fuel – Filled up my ute with diesel here yesterday, car broke down 400m down the road. Had to have it towed to workshop where they found water in the fuel filter. Same issue that apparently occurred here in 2016. https://www.choice.com.au/transport/cars/maintenance/articles/contaminated-fuel-costing-drivers-thousands-of-dollars-in-repairs
Water in fuel – Filled up unleaded fuel from metro doonside and within 2 kms car stopped. Car had to be towed to mechanic and was told that the fuel is contaminated. The franchisee denied any wrong doing and said that you are the only customer that complained. I called the head office and the receptionist advised that she has already received several calls… Read more
regarding the same issue. If metro is aware that several of their stations are having the same issue, but they are not advising the customers about the problem. Please think twice before filling from Metro fuel stations.
