Michael’s Fruit and Veg

I have been buying my weekly fresh food from Michael's Fruit and Veg Stall 53 in the Adelaide Central Market for years. I specifically supported this particular Stall because the lady serving is Polish, like my heritage. I have spent a considerable amount of money there over the years. Today, when I placed the items to the counter one punnet of berries fell to the ground so I collected them up, but most were no longer usable, so I apologised and handed them to the Polish lady and grabbed another punnet to replace with the ruined ones.

She processed my items and placed them to the side then stocked my basket while I was paying for the goods. When I got home, I unpacked my goods and I noticed that she had clearly swapped back the ruined punnet.

I was in disbelief. I have spent so much money at that stall and engaged with the ladies every time and yet they were content with letting me leave believing that my goods were in good condition.

So, over a $2 punnet of berries, I will NEVER return to that particular stall and I will tell anyone who listens about my disappointment.
