Really happy with Micro Aquatic shop. The fish were in great shape on arrival due to the really fast delivery and careful packing. I will definitely be ordering from them again. Easy process !! Well done guys.

Postage of item was fast, communication was excellent and friendly, there were delays with Australia post, shrimp were healthy and cared for well enough to arrived alive and healthy. Shrimp are beautiful, exactly what was in the pics in the online store. Will be back for more soon.

A Fin-tastic review!! – Today was our second time going into the store. The customer service both times was amazing. We are always greeted with smiles and they always answer every question our 3 curious kids have. The quality and the price of the fish are amazing. It is definitely worth the 2+ hour drive!!!

Bumblebee’s & Shrimp – I procrastinated for weeks about purchasing online.I finally purchased some Bumblebee gobies and some Darwin Algae shrimp. They arrived the next day in perfect condition. They were packaged exceptionally well. The customer service was amazing and Vicky answered my numerous questions over different phone calls. I would definitely buy from them again.

Fries need more food per day than adults. Disappointed to say the least. Offered a refund for 1st dead one after many terse emails from them, in reply I told them no refund required and no further communication. End of story.

I'm puzzled – I have mixed feelings about this shop. On one hand, I got beautiful, lively female guppies and a perfect anubias. male guppy didn't last a week in the aquarium. He arrived lethargic (he was in the same bag as the females), had a complete loss of appetite and was dead in 2 days after arrival. Their shrimp was a hit and miss, as I lost one and the other is an absolute pocket rocket.

They were introduced to a 4 week old aquarium, with bio media filter, proper oxygenation, natural plants and a snail. All were acclimated as I've always done for the last 10 years. I even tested the water with API Master Test Kit to be sure. I might give MAS another go, but if quality control proves to be 50/50 again, that will be the last time.

Inaccurate description of grade, rude customer service – Shipping was quick and efficient. Heat pack included etc. Now for the bad. Ordered medium-high grade shrimp. confirms they send juvis from a med-high colony. I was advised to wait until they grow into their colour, which could take months. I accept that the overall colony grade is probably fantastic, but that doesn't change the fact that the juvi quality is unknown until it grows, unless the juvi already looks like the parents. So these juvis may never actually get to that quality. I didn't want/pay for ungraded juvis, I paid for med-high grade.

I've ordered some from elsewhere in the meantime (med-high) and they've almost immediately coloured up and it's painfully obvious that they're green and of decent quality. THAT is what is expected for med-high money.

I was eventually offered a refund, but express shipping+heatpack is gonna cost me 1/4 of the refund anyway. Ridiculous.

Hands down the rudest interaction I've had with a store and the worst quality for money. Will absolutely never shop here again. I also left a review on their site, which disappeared shortly after.

Rubbish – Expensive and extreemly small amount of plants. Most were not viable and died. Contacted them to complain and yet to receive a response. Keep getting bombarded with their junk emails yet they couldn't care less about addressing customer complaints. Steer well clear from this ridiculous organisation

goodness, the smell of the water they were in smelt rotten. Quarantined my shrimp, drip acclimated them and then popped them into my tank.

This new addition to my tank took out a bunch of my existing shrimp which was pretty devastating. Customer service requested me to show them pictures of the dead shrimp and a video in the unopened plastic bag when I asked what was going on. I happily provided that.

Now, I haven’t heard anything. They’ve pretended to create a new order with a new tracking number but the tracking number brings me back to my old order which was already delivered 2 weeks ago.

I’m still waiting for a response now. I’ve escalated it through PayPal and we shall see.

Just don’t waste your time with these guys. I felt so sorry for the shrimp that were delivered. Just gross conditions.

how about some communication – I ordered a $100 gift card 12th of December and have not received it, I rang on the 24th December and was told it will be sent 7th January I have also tried to contact them on their web page but no reply. So now I will make a complaint at pay pal and see if i can get a refund wish me luck

Terrible service dead fish – Waited 3 weeks for my order to be SENT out.. yes... 3 weeks hadn't even left the store...after 3 weeks I requested a refund.. and what do ya know! Seriously the worst service I've ever received from a company.... no communication and when they do its at stupid hours of the night.. no remorse for the dead/stressed product couldn't give a ahit about the live animals they're selling only the $$$$$$!!!!

overpriced – Even when there are sales on, this store it overpriced. They occasionally have good pricing on a very small selection of things, but it's still cheaper to shop elsewhere. Definitely look around before buying from here.

Avoid this shop like the plague! – Ordered live products online which took two weeks to arrive on the Gold Coast QLD. Next step is initiating a claim through ACCC.

The customer service really is terrible, could have been resolved easily however they just don’t seem to care once they have the $$.

I would NOT recommend purchasing from this shop under any circumstances.

Send emails not your order – This company charges $25 for express delivery, ordered and paid 29/9/22 with express delivery. Order still not even "fulfilled " on 4/10/22.

well – i dont like to do bad reviews, but i have to be honest. i purchased on a monday. 4 ghost shrimp ($12) AND 3 REdnose (10.50) which said "in stock" after waiting a few days i asked about when my order would arrive they said they had no "cherry shrimp" and if it was ok to change them to ghost shrimp , i said ok, assuming id be refunded the $1.50… Read more

since the rednoses were 50c extra. they then said they are posting next week since they cant post on wednesdays (i ordered on a monday reminder) I received them today and im missing a shrimp. so that brings it to me losing $4.50, it may not seem like much but when the total comes up to about $50 becasue of shipping, id expect to at least get the amount i ordered. the shrimp that DID arrive were alive at least. and the duckweed was in mostly good condition but defiantly not a handful like they claimed with a few leaves dead, but to be expected i guess. not totaly happy but understand people make mistakes, but i likely wont purchase from here again, sorry.

the packaging also only had a small "fragile"sticker, no live fish tape or anything to show a living creature was inside, so im shocked they even showed up alive!

Scam alert – Ordered a micro aquatic feeder - NEVER arrived despite first saying would send in a few months then never came - SCAM! Positive reviews are obviously plants.

Australian store that ships stock from China – If you are after live stock - fish, snails, plants, moss etc from my experience you can shop here with confidence. If you are after hardware - air pump, filter media, CO2 splitter etc from my experience you are better off going elsewhere. Eg. period. I had no idea where anything was until it suddenly arrived. Air pump had American plug and adaptor was very lose (super glued it together) air hose and stones were rubbish, filter media leaked an oil like substance even after multiple washes and soaking, the list goes on etc etc

I was offered a refund and then they changed their minds and offered a 20% discount off my next purchase.

Despite all this I feel like the actual shop on Australian soil has a real passion for anything aquarium but are just totally let down by having the majority of their stock in China.

Advice - if the product says "hand picked", avoid it.

PS. There is also a lot of pop up competition like advertising after every purchase, I've never seen anything like it before with any other purchase and really didn't appreciate it. Aqua coins?

PPS. Tried and failed to contact them by phone multiple times.

Misleading advertising and unaustralian refund policy – Supposedly in stock Items ordered where not delivered and have the gall to only refund 80% of price. Don’t shop here.

Do not buy from these scammers save your hard earn money for a more reputable shop – I’ve ordered here twice had missing and dead orders no refunds due to thier hardline policy and misleading items shop here at your own risk
