Excellent – This is (was?) a sweet spot in Microsoft's product line with a good keyboard and laser mouse, with basic mouse keys like forward and backward in addition to scroll. Surprisingly no option to program a shutdown key, only sleep/hibernate. Replaced an older Logitech keyboard with this one and after a few days familiarity I would not go back. The smooth scroll wheel is better than the stepped-feel many have. Beyond this one, including its newer replacement, is to me overboard and targeting gamers. For the typical user who does occasional games, surfing, and office apps including A/V, 5 of 5. Good set of buttons for email, web, sound control, movie buttons, decent feel to keys, good battery life, acceptable wireless range. hard to find in August 2010; limited key programming options on mouse compared to Logitech

Excellent – overall this keyboard nad mouse has been excellent with no problems at all. the battery life i must say is very long as described on the packaging. the ergonomic layout of this keyboard is the best i have ever used and will never look back. you can buy this at dick smith. highly recommended. a very ergonomic keyboard. comfortable, light weight, easy to setup and wireless range is around 5 meters away which is perfect for business meetings. battery life has lasted me over 6 months for keyboard and mouse. very cheap. would have liked more keyboard hot keys but no big issue.
