1 nina  · Just paid $29.95 to replace a $6.98 battery in my car key. That's some markup. Will do it myself next time.
1 Barb L.  · Was quoted $29 to replace a car remote battery. Battery sells for $7 Retail. so $22 to perform a service which took less than 30 seconds. That's $2640 an hour!
5 Rifa S.  · Great service and price for my car key at Mister Minit Pakenham

MR Minit Blacktown What a rude person from the beginning. Left a b#m bag to get fixed, he never told me he did not have same zipper colour. Unhappy on pick up . i asked the rude guy when i misheard the price ,i asked ''did you say $29.00 ''?, and he said yeah. When i came back to pick it up and pay the $29.00 ,it became $29.95. I questioned that and he said no i said $29.95 originally . OK no problem , i pull out the card to pay and now the price is $30.00. When i questioned that the rude guy said " ohh that is a surcharge ".For a lousy 5 cents you did that work for nothing and that is when i tossed the bag at the counter and told you to stick it you know where.Who as ever heard of 5 cents surcharge? Not 5 PERCENT but a lousy 5 cents ...get real. 1..tell people you do not have that colour in stock from the beginning, do not do the job and expect customer to be happy with a different colour on pick up 2 ... Stick to one price. 3 ... And certainley do not play st^pid games and add a lousy 5 cents to round it up tp $30.00. 4 ...In the end i bought a brand new sling bag of good quality for just a few $$ more the next day at a sports store, your ignorance and bad attitude actually worked out well for me. What a rip off!! I needed a garage clicker and was told you can not get the one I had anymore so was given another one. He handed it over and was told $16 and instructions were in the box to program It. When I got home I saw that $62.36 was taken out of my account. I checked online for pricing and saw for the same product you can buy the same… Read more

clicker including postage for at most $29.95 or $26 in Big W and my old one you can still buy for only $13 delivered. Absolute rip off! I rang up Mister Minute Fountaingate and told him I was charged $62.36 and due to his poor English skills his $60 sounds very much like $16 dollars. He told me that was the standard price for them. Bull! Rip off for a clicker. Absolutely disgusting. Only buying online instead of thinking I’m helping the working man, not any more.

I went here to have the battery replaced in my Tissot watch. I’ve owned this watch for around 20 years and have had the battery replaced multiple times without issue. On this occasion, the watch was returned to me with the back coming off and effectively in two pieces. After opening it, I was told it could not be reassembled due to its age — this… Read more

was not discussed or explained before the watch was taken apart.

Within minutes of leaving, the watch stopped working completely. When I returned, I was given a refund, but the watch was handed back in a disassembled, non-functional condition.

A receipt was initially provided, but when I returned to the store, it was taken back and I was not given a copy despite requesting one.

Very disappointing experience. What should have been a routine battery replacement has left the watch damaged and unusable.

Beware!! Horrible owner and worst staff!! We went to the Mister Minit Carousel Cannigton kiosk in front of kmart on Sunday 01/03/2026, we gave him 3 watches for battery replacement. A Rado, Mark Jacobs and a Khalsa Watch. He successfully replaced 2 batteries but for Rado he broke the link and pin because it is a ceramic watch, this guy said i am… Read more

on training, so sorry it broke.

After that he asked us to get this repaired from a store in kenwick, then my husband asked who will pay for the repairs and then this guy spoke to owner over the phone, on other kiosk in front of woolworths who agreed he’ll get this repaired.

So, the guy who broke Rado watch, asked for payment and i was going to pay for 2 watches which i got back but he insisted to pay for Rado which was still with them as it was broke. But this guy asked to give all the watches back or pay for all 3 as he replaced batteries, he said he has done his job.

Is this right to ask for payment when watch was still with him? we told him nicely that we will pay for 3rd once this is given back to us after repairs. But this big guy started shouting on us and asked to stop talking. As i was also saying that we were not paying for Rado battery he literally yelled at me to “f**k off” in front of my husband. Which my husband couldn’t tolerate and yelled back with the same word.

Seriously, is this the customer service? you break expensive things and ask customers to f**k off in front of 100 people around you. We had a toddler with us, i am shocked to be treated like this. He not once may be 4/5 times repeated the same word after we replied in the same tone.

This whole matter was reported to carousel security, 2 security guys were present there too after this guy started yelling at us.

Eventually after some discussions with security, security had chat with kiosk guy, we went to owner, [Name Removed], on other kiosk in front of woolworths and he was not wanting to listen to us, he was very rude. He clearly said, let’s not discuss what happened with you guys on the other kiosk. He definitely agreed to “fix the watch”.

We came back home and luckily my husband found an extra link and pin in the watch box, which he went back on monday 02/03 and gave to owner so they don’t have to order any watch parts. This gave me relief that we will get the watch fixed now.

But today 03/03, hubby went back to collect watch what i found out they didn’t add that extra link instead they removed broken link and used the extra pin to only fix watch. Removing broken link and not adding replacement link, we gave them a day ago, has shortened the watch.

I am still not sure where is 1 extra pin gone ? why have they shortened the watch. We gave them these 2 things ”a link and pin” which were broken by them, so watch should have been fixed.

But, they very cleverly gave my husband the watch back which is smaller and it’s tight on his wrist, this was a $3000 watch which they have damaged.

Isn’t this our right to get the thing back in the way we gave them before. It’s terrible, how can they do this ? This is really cheap service, breaking things and not covering for damage.

“If you are not qualified enough why are you taking expensive watches for battery replacement?”

They made mistake, well anyone can make mistake but this big guy didn’t take any responsibility, rather abused us/customers for asking what we deserve.

And [Name Removed], the owner instead of apologising, actually tried to fool my husband and get away with this, he gave the watch back which is not a proper fit.

We are never gonna go back and will make sure to share this experience with others, so nobody come here to get batteries changed for their expensive watches, because owner and trainee both mentioned they don’t deal with ceramic watches then why the hell they didn’t mention before taking watch.

Back in November 2025, Mr. Minit ran a competition giving away 1000 free shoe repairs. I received a voucher, however it was NOT for a FREE shoe repair - Rather "$30 off shoe repairs". I tried to redeem the voucher, only to be informed that I need to spend $100 to be eligible. Very false and misleading advertising.

Avoid like the plague. I took quite an expensive coated leather Longchamp bag to Mister Minit after one of the straps started to come away. At that stage, it was a tiny tear, so we discussed gluing it down, and sewing another row of stitching across all four straps to reinforce them. When I went to pick it up a few days later, I discovered that… Read more

rather gluing and sewing as agreed, one of the straps had been CUT off the bag, and shoddily sewn back on, with loose stitching meaning that it was already coming away. The other straps have been messily stitched, but all of the stitching was very poor quality and some of it had already started to unravel. The man working there was originally very apologetic, pointed to a young guy and blamed him, and said he would try and fix it. They asked me to leave it with them. Two weeks and crickets later I’ve gone to collect, and it’s still the same - they'd literally stuck it in a cupboard and left it there. Then the young guy working there had the audacity to completely gaslight me and tell me that the strap was already cut when I brought it in. Absolutely not! If it had been then the handle would not have been attached to the bag, which it was, I literally wore it there that day. Zero accountability, terrible customer service, and zero skill. Attached are some photos showing the damage in question, and a similar bag I own which shows how the straps should look. Devastated as they don’t even make this bag anymore.

New car key fob is of poor quality and the plastic is flexing. This means the key no longer pops out of it's housing when the button is pressed. I have to pry it out with my finger nail. nothing wrong with the mechanism prior to bringing in here, the bloke got hostile and rude. Told him to get prices on getting the mechanism replaced. He told me it would take 2 weeks. 3 weeks had passed, had no phone call about it, i chased it up and was told they can’t fix it. They had my watch for 3.5 months and no attempt to fix it. Bloke with black beard was rude when I picked up my watch. Do not recommend their services. Bathurst store!

Follow-up  · Yea they charged for the battery but I refused to pay it as I didn’t ask for it to be changed. No watch is not working, repairs were going to be roughly $165 then labour on top of that. It’s cheaper to purchase a new watch. I picked up my watch still broken and will never visit this place again.

I took some shoes in today that were previously repaired by Mister Minit in Westfield Bondi Junction. The customer service representative told me this was untrue, that they only offered a 6 month warranty. He… Read more

proceeded to check the shoes and denied that they had been repaired by that store previously. It was total gaslighting. I called him out on it and he brushed me off. I’m amazed at how rude someone in customer service could be. I’d previously been so happy with the service there, but they’ve now lost a customer - someone who would often bring them business for both shoe repairs, car key battery replacement and key cutting.

I’m so disappointed in their complete lack of care for a loyal customer and what’s obviously a shoddy job as I’ve had to go back with the same pair of shoes twice.

There are good and bad in every mall outlet. The Mr Minit inside Forest Lakes 4078 is one I would advise people to avoid. He is not a businessman and, in all honesty, should be working in a warehouse or as a cleaner. He refused to accept any liability for the damage he caused to my SKAGAN everyday watch. Finally, I convinced him we would go 50-50,… Read more

and he agreed. I was expecting four small screws to be no more than a few dollars, not $105. When repairs like this are so high, a responsible businessman would contact you and justify this expense prior to the repairs being carried out. He told me that when I went to pick up my watch, the cost, even 50%, was far too high. I should have learned from my past experience from 2023, when I purchased two garage door remotes that, according to the specialist, were the wrong type, cheap and nasty. I walked away and left my Danish, Skagan, with a new battery he supplied before my watch fell apart. His excuse was that the screws cannot be inserted tightly, and for that reason, there is no warranty, except for the battery. MR Minite were really courteous, and I presumed helpful, promised to sort it out. In reality, nobody came back to me, and I feel for all the decent franchise holders who deserve better for their investment.

On 01/03/2026, I had an extremely disappointing experience at Mister Minit (Westfield Carousel, Cannington ). I took my $3,000 Rado ceramic watch in for a simple battery replacement. The staff member handling the job stated he was “in training,” yet he was the only person operating the repair counter and handling customers’ watches. During the… Read more

process, he damaged a ceramic bracelet link while attempting to refit it. He initially said he would not charge me because he could not reassemble the watch and advised me to take it elsewhere.

After I pointed out the chipped ceramic link, he contacted his boss and agreed they would repair it at their cost. However, I was then pressured to pay for the battery immediately, even though the damaged watch was being retained for repair. When I calmly explained I would pay once the watch was properly repaired, the situation escalated.

In front of my wife and our 10-month-old child, in a busy public area, the staff member raised his voice, repeatedly used abusive language (including the F-word), and aggressively told us to leave. My wife was left in tears and my child began crying during the confrontation. Security had to intervene.

We were then directed to the second Mister Minit store in the same shopping centre (front of Woolworths), which operates under the same franchise owner. There, I was again assured the watch would be repaired at their cost.

The following day, I was informed they are not trained or authorised to work on ceramic watches — which raises a serious question: why was work commenced on a ceramic luxury watch in the first place, especially by a trainee working alone?

When I collected the watch from their outsourced repairer: • My spare link (which I provided) was not installed. • The broken link was removed and the bracelet shortened instead. • My original pin is now bent/damaged and missing. • The bracelet is tighter and improperly adjusted.

To date, there has been no apology, no acknowledgement of fault, and no accountability for either the damage or the unacceptable conduct toward my family.

What should have been a simple battery replacement turned into negligence, poor workmanship, lack of transparency, and deeply unprofessional behaviour.

I am sharing this so others can make informed decisions before trusting this franchise with valuable timepieces.
