Mitas Tubeless Rim Tape

This tape is too soft and is unable to hold pressure above 60 psi resulting in catastrophic failures – I have bought this tape as their tubeless valves were not too bad, as it is semi-Australian brand and the pricing is very competetive. I heard a loud pop sound. I have taken the tyre off and saw this hole on a spoke hole. It was not the result of a sharp spoke hole edge as you can see, as it popped in the centre. It is just too stretchy and soft for this type of application.

The saddest part of the story is that the store I have bought it from (pushys) refused to provide a refund implying that I have incorrectly applied it. So, just wasted $20.

Even a cheap cheap fake kapton tape from ebay which costs about $2 for 25 metre roll works better than this. The "kapton" tape is a suitable tape unlike this, just bad quality adhesive. This tape material is not suitable for tubeless application, avoid.
