I really wish I had read the reviews on this business before attempting to purchase from them. 5th on March 2026 I placed an order for 3 items. As of 24th of March. I'd received one item, which was not what we thought it would be so contacted to arrange an exchange or refund. The person I spoke to on the phone informed me that according to their… Read more
terms and conditions they are not required to do this.
They are using the front of being a 'business' when they are a 3rd party seller who sources products from other suppliers. Which they are saying means they are not responsible for refunds or exchanges.
As I hadn't received the other parts of my order I have cancelled it.
It appears now having looked at reviews that this 3rd party seller is happy so sell items it doesn't have in stock.
I spent reasonable money buying a compression device from this company which was difficult to find elsewhere. To be honest, in my experience the company was initially slow to respond (I had not had an update at 2 weeks after purchase). I also saw the reviews on this website and initially panicked however when I phoned the company, they apologised… Read more
and stated that they were waiting for the warehouse stock to be dispatched - my order had already been marked as urgent and would arrive within a few days. And it did arrive, on the date given. The product was in perfect condition and as described.
just received a bandit scooter for my client with afterpay. Shipping was only 3 days to melbourne north Instructions for setup were easy to follow and the customer service lady was very helpful. Also informed me that there will be a lot of changes because the new manager/director is thinking forward with AI technologies to be introduced.
Suction machine ordered and paid for on 5th Dec 2025. Product not received and no response from Mobi Assist after multiple emails, messages and voicemails.
Like most other reviews, no answer, no product. Very Dissappointing.
My client ordered a scooter through Mobi Assist - he is a younger person with a physical disability. The scooter delivery was delayed due to being sent to the wrong address. When the scooter finally arrived it was not assembled, and required significant effort to unbox and try to assemble the parts and was not the colour ordered. Once assembled… Read more
with great difficulty, the scooter did not work. This took months to problem solve with customer support - apparently some modifications had been made to the scooter and the "kill switch" was activated but not in the location that it should have been, which is extremely weird. My client was finally able to hook up the cables required, again being very difficult for him and potentially unsafe. After 5 months of not being able to drive the scooter and having to go through the difficult process of putting it together and dealing with electrical wiring, the scooter now has a flat tyre, though it has not been driven at all. As the OT for my client, I have tried many, many times and methods to contact the company to request some action or follow up and have had zero response. I will never use this company again and would advise anyone against using them, based on this very poor experience.
Ive flying into From Hong Kong from working over there,Paid for a tilt table for my mother,$142.80 out of pocket. 18th December 2025....Any nothing has turned up...bar my money disappearing Don't use the Online outlet.Full stop.

I placed an order for 2 items on 10/12, a wheelchair and walker. I received the walker within a week, but a month later I still have not received the wheelchair. I have tried contacting multiple times via phone, email and the website contact form. Contact form and email remain unanswered, and phone calls result in having to leave a message that… Read more
does not get returned. I am out over $500 for this item, including shipping costs and can now not afford to purchase this much needed mobility aid elsewhere.
My experience has been very similar to most of these posts. Company sends out an immediate email confirming your order, then nothing. 5 days after purchase I tried calling , only to hear 'sorry you are unable to leave a msg right now, or mail box… Read more
full'. Ordered back in December 2025, 4 weeks later no item. I have also sent numerous emails, no reply. Contacted Fair Trade as ACCC will only send you the same way. It seems we need to spend a day reporting this to appropriate organisation (Fair Trade) who need enough complaints to stop them. the Mobi Assist ABN: 46666884804 Surprises me these reports go back to 2023 and the business is still operating and right under the NDIS banner. Who is protecting the consumer?? Hard earned money going to these criminals.
Follow-up · Since writing the review, I continued to phone mobiassist. Almost 4 weeks after purchase, I received a callback. I asked why no communication and no Aramex updates. The owner ( I assumed), said the warehouse had been closed for 2 weeks over Christmas, assured me the item was collected from his warehouse and Aramex hadn't updated or scanned it ??… Read more

for my elderly father in law who has been slipping from his wheelchair. I have tried to phone 5 times, left messages and sent 3 emails. No reply. Very much regreating dealing with this company and would cancel the order and buy elsewhere if I could.
Follow-up · Item was eventually recieved after i contacted the owner. It had been sent to the wrong state & returend to the warehouse (their fault - address i gave was correct). No one bothered to contact me or check their error. I haf to do a lot of chasing. Got thr item evrntually but wouod not recomend or buy again.
If I could leave no stars i would. Ringing ACCC on Monday. Ordered placed 12/12. Several voicemails left. I sent 1 email. Sent message through web today. NOTHING. ORDER WAS NEEDED 3 WEEKS AGO
I am a NDIS Support Coordinator and I placed an order with MobiAssist for wheelchair lateral assists - first red flag was no confirmation email. an hour after I spoke with ACCC I received a phone call from MobiAssist's Manager with his mobile number wanting to follow up. He informed me they had sent the item to the wrong address (an address in a different state). The item was delivered to the correct address the following day. The item was poor quality so I requested a refund form via the mobile number - no reply. I also placed an order for another NDIS Participant which was unable to be funded. I advised MobiAssist to cancel this invoice - again several phone calls and emails with no response - but they kept sending demands that the item needed to be paid for. The whole experience for both of these cases was extremely frustrating and disappointing and a waste of my time and the first participant's NDIS funding. I would strongly advise against anyone considering MobiAssist. Terrible experience.
I was a bit worried after I ordered and paid for a new walker and then read the negative reviews, I left several messages and also emailed the company but was not able to get a reply. available to take delivery and spoke to a gentleman who was very nice and told me to just make contact when I got back home, when I was not able to get an answer I really thought I had done my money. I rang again an finally got the same gentleman and told him of my concern but he said there was not an issue and he would contact the warehouse and try to get it to me in time to take it on my holidays, he also gave me his personal contact number and his name which I can not pass on here He did just what he said he would do and the walker arrived today and it is wonderful and I love it, it will give me my independence back as it is light and so easy to use. Many thanks to the gentleman for explaining the problems he has been having after buying the business and restoring my faith in human nature. Many thanks from a grateful customer.

Terrible Experience – No Response, No Tracking, No Item I placed an order with MobiAssist. Since then, I’ve sent multiple emails and left three voicemail messages on their number (1300 479 111), and not one has been returned. It has now been almost a week, and I’ve received no tracking number, no confirmation, and no sign that my order has been… Read more
processed. I live in the same state, so delivery delays make no sense.
After checking online reviews, I realised many others have had the same experience, money taken, no goods delivered, and no communication at all. That pattern speaks volumes.
Frankly, it’s alarming that a business connected to the NDIS space operates with such poor standards. This is not a good look for a company claiming to support vulnerable people.
Until MobiAssist proves it can actually deliver orders and respond to customers, stay away. Based on my experience and what I’ve read from others, you risk losing your money and getting nothing in return.
No contact or returned emails during shipping. Chair arrive without notice. once assembled its clear this is cheap and not worth buying at all. avoid this seller completely.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I bought a walker and only after purchasing read some negative reviews, which made me a bit nervous. I emailed to ask for an ETA but didn’t get a reply. However, the walker arrived safely and within a week, exactly as described. The website was easy to use, and the walker was simple to set up. My mum loves it! Not sure about the other reviews, but my experience was completely positive. Thank you mobiassist
BUYER BEWARE! Item paid for but never supplied. Good luck contacting them, once they receive the money they don't return calls or emails. Scammers preying on vulnerable people with disabilities, absolutely disgusting!
After phone calls and emailing them after 2 weeks of hearing nothing, don’t look like I’m getting my chair.. So yeh they get a bad review till they call me back
one star in place of no stars - seems I join the list of unsatisfied customers - took my money - more than a week later and only when I chased the order for an electric wheelchair - I was refunded without explanation - at least I got my money back - but now I need to start the process all over again - finding something suitable for an ailing parent - zero customer service - should get zero stars

provider who told me it's been paid. Rang MobiAssist who told me the provider didn't put the invoice number on the transaction. Then sent an invoice for extra $1,078 saying to order it now would cost more for the wheelchair. Provider paid for it. Gave proof that the provider did put the inv. no on transaction. Months go by, still not ordered. If the price for the wheelchair was paid back on 20may25 , it should be that price, he didn't do the order and lied . Did another order 10jul25 for electric hospital bed, 2x kylie sheets, 2 safehip protectors in medium. $6,918.99 , nothing done . I gave him all the links from the places and prices. The bed was $3,350 plus $375 delivery. He charged me $5,500 lying to me that it needs to be assembled. I rang the company who told me it's already assembled. The kylie sheets only one arrived and charged me double the price. The hip protectors came in large and medium at double the price , as he told me it's double the price, which it's not. Also a rollator with no inv form, no warranty, no instructions. I could have just done the order myself and still waiting on the first order , nothing has come yet. The guy from the bed company said not to accept the delivery , so I didn't. Now it's been delivered again. My mum's provider has to go through small business courts to see what can be done. UPDATE now got a call from the company for the bed, telling me the tracking number was sent to an email provided by him,.org , my email is .com . UPDATE- Today I received an electric wheelchair but not from the link I provided him from Gilani Engeneering , it was from China no brand name , instructions in chinese and yet again no warranty. I had asked for remote at the back but it came with it infront. He won't give back the money but seems to always do everything wrong. He should not be operating AT ALL.
Follow-up · Since my last update there has been no progress, mum had to repurchase everything all over again with her money from the package , at least this time she is getting Australian standards and warranties with the original brands that were ordered. Gilani Engineering has been so helpful and offered us the same price that was originally agreed upon… Read more
Ordered a Scooter from MobiAssist. At first i was sus on them after i had already placed my order but ive been dealing with them via phone and the knowledge that I've got from them has been nothing but great. My order was delivered within a week. Quite interesting to ready these other comments but can defintly confirm they're not a scam.
Only giving ONE star because there was no option to choose zero stars! MobiAssist has taken payment for an urgent NDIS-related item and then completely vanished. No product. No update. No communication. NOTHING. They were quick to respond when it came to taking the money — but the moment payment was made, they disappeared. Both of their phone… Read more
numbers ring out and disconnect due to “full voicemail,” and they haven’t responded to any emails. Messages through Facebook and LinkedIn have also been ignored. It's clear they're deliberately avoiding contact. This item was paid for using limited NDIS consumables funding — funds that cannot simply be replaced. They’ve left a participant without a critical product, and us with no support, no answers, and no refund. Their conduct is disgraceful, exploitative, and completely unacceptable. I’ve now lodged a formal complaint with the ACCC and will escalate further if needed. This company should not be allowed to operate in the NDIS space or serve vulnerable Australians in any capacity. Avoid them at all costs.

Paid for and received a very poor quality, extremely overpriced item. We were told to return to supplier for refund. Returned the item over 6 weeks ago, still no refund. Would NOT recommend this supplier. Poor communication. Low quality product - bought something from temu for tenth of price and works perfect. Still waiting for refund...... Next step is consumer affairs.
I'm surprised at all the negative reviews. Got my wheelchair a week after ordering, everything was in perfect condition and the couriers were very nice and always in contact woth me.
Do not shop here. I repeat DO NOT SHOP. Almost non-existent customer service. The product I received was not as described so I requested a refund. I was told there'd be a $250 shipping fee plus a $297 restocking fee. The product was returned but no refund received. After three weeks of unanswered emails regarding the refund, I approached my bank… Read more

The anatomy of a scam 101: Breaking down an online store scam – Similar experience to most posts here and reviews online - but with ONE key difference, which I’ll explain… So from the start, the MO/calling card/playbook seems to be as follows: * you order and pay your money through their site for the products you want * you don’t get the kind of communication or response needed from an e-commerce site or… Read more
customer-facing website * you don’t receive a tax invoice or confirmation of order with contact details and product description or the date of estimated delivery * you try calling their number, but nobody from the company answers - instead it’s a virtual reception desk which takes your message (anyone can pay for a service to redirect your number to and have it answered by someone working for a service company that provides virtual reception services for hundreds of companies) OR after ringing for a long time without anyone answering, your call goes to voicemail promising someone will return your call (they don’t) * nobody returns your call * nobody replies to your email * if they do call or reply it’s to tell you what you’ve chosen is ‘out of stock’ or ‘discontinued’ and you need to choose something else * if they reply, they tell you your goods have been shipped but provide no proof of this or any tracking/freight details * you wait and wait but your goods don’t arrive * nobody follows up * you lose your money waiting for mobility devices or assistive devices that never arrive * you could have bought what you needed from a legitimate store or company and be using the supportive equipment you need.
The one positive review here is from a profile that has only posted one review for guess who?
Note the perfect grammar, punctuation and spelling. They even capitalised the business name consistent with company branding - so cute! What are the chances this is a fake review? https://www.productreview.com.au/consumer-profiles/b05c70fd-04e1-47ff-8cac-812d942e070c
Guys, the upshot is if you’ve used this business or ANY other business using the same tactics and this happens to you, contact consumer affairs in your state or territory, report it through the ACCC’s Scamwatch service, get help and support through IDCare (http://www.idcare.org) and *tell everyone* about it.
Document ALL contact with ‘the company’ and make sure ‘the company’ knows this is what you’re doing… it can all be used as evidence to catch and prosecute ruthless thieves stealing money from older people, children and adults with disabilities.
Demand the legitimate paperwork related to your order immediately - like your tax invoice, proof of purchase, order details and number, proof of shipping and tracking, proof of delivery or receipt. This is all VERY important in taking action.
Your tax invoice should arrive in your inbox as soon as you’ve paid online.
You deserve and are legally entitled to goods you’ve paid for.
**This almost happened to me. I placed a large order with MobiAssist and heard nothing. No tax invoice, no confirmation, no emails, no text messages, no phones, no tracking info, nobody returned my messages or emails… paid hundreds of dollars, and just… NOTHING.
So here’s what I did:
* I sent a very URGENT email putting them on notice to contact me IMMEDIATELY, and made contact with ASIC, ACCC, ATO and the Australian Federal Police to report financial fraud. I also made contact with Afterpay to notify them of a potentially fraudulent retailer using their service. Then I notified the virtual reception desk of the same concerns. * Amazingly, I got an email response from MobiAssist within minutes. They apologised and said that my whole order was already dispatched, but they couldn’t provide me with a tracking number. * I replied that this was not good enough and demanded tracking details, and repeated my intention to involve regulatory and enforcement bodies, and that EVERYTHING was being documented for this purpose. * A short while later I received confirmation that my order had shipped but they couldn’t give the tracking number because it wouldn’t be tracking yet. Utter crap. I demanded it again. * I had bought 5 separate products from this company. Eventually (within a day) I had the first tracking number, and it worked. Then I pushed for the rest. And over 4 or 5 days, I received updated tracking data and tracking numbers, one by one, from a range of different carriers. All tracking numbers worked. None of these items had been dispatched whenever they claimed this in the first email. They were all dispatched days later - with one item being picked up 5 days after they claimed. * It was clear they had scrambled to get them sent separately (obviously through different suppliers). It was also highly suspicious that they were trying to fob me off with their first email. Nothing had been sent when they first said my order had shipped. I doubt I would have seen anything at all of my order of I hadn’t acted quickly and threatened them with legal action. * In the end, I received all 5 items - 2 were replacement items for stock I had ordered, but they couldn’t supply. The quality of all (but one I haven’t assembled yet) is actually very good.
What is clear is there’s something very dodgy about this business. I’m not certain anyone from ‘the company’ ever answers the phone. I’m not certain their e-commerce setup is legitimate. They are NOT endorsed by, nor a registered seller of NDIS equipment (you can check for registered sellers on the NDIS website). I don’t even know if their invoice is legitimate. I’m very leery about who in fact is running and staffing the setup - a background check on LinkedIn doesn’t provide any confidence at all. It’s impossible to predict, but I’m sure many people have lost money to this mob and are too embarrassed or ashamed to report them.
Stay safe everyone and post reviews sharing your experience so others don’t lose their money, and they can find a reputable business from the very start. (Whether or not each registered business is a good one is another story altogether.)
Generally, if you can see a LOT of positive online reviews sharing the good and not-so-good, over a long period of time, from a large variety of people, over different review sites (not like our mate above here) should be a good guide. Interestingly, in their social media, they use quotes from “happy buyers” published on Google reviews, but if they exist, I can’t find them.
And word of mouth and recommendations from people you trust. People are keen and happy to tell you all about how great a business was to deal with as much as they are to share horror stories. (Though beware of social media where fake positive comments are rife and it’s impossible to see who’s really needing the profile.)
At the end of it all, an online purchase is always a risk. We can’t always physically see and inspect what we’re buying for many reasons, and it’s this situation so many scammers scramble to exploit.
Check with the NDIS registered providers website before you choose a supplier. Not surprisingly, it appears MobiAssist is NOT an NDIS-registered provider, even though it uses branding on the website that appears to suggest they are.
Above all, *talk about it and tell others*. Get support. Scams are a psychological and emotional experience as much as a financial one.
Is this a scam? I can’t say for sure. There are SO many red flags where there just shouldn’t be. Remember that scammers are financial criminals that cost communities billions of forward every year. These criminals depend on victims being ashamed or embarrassed and staying silent, so they can keep doing it, and keep taking honest, innocent and often vulnerable people’s money. They’re criminals. They have no compassion, ethics or remorse. They have whatever it takes to deceive and manipulate and fill their bank accounts at your expense.
They need to be crushed, each and every one.
Even if a scammer succeeds in stealing your money, don’t let yourself be alone with the experience. Scammers are manipulators. They lie and deceive. But do your best to limit the damage they’ve already done to your finances and trust, and know you’re NOT the one at fault here.
Scam business – Made a purchase in November 2024, wasn't sent. After chasing up was told it wasn't in stock and I needed to choose something else. My second choice was never sent and difference in cost wasn't refunded. Have contacted numerous times for full refund and have stopped receiving any response. I wish I read reviews first. I will be contacting ACCC to take it further.
Please don't shop here – I bought a stand up wheelchair. Unfortunately it was faulty and doesn't respond to the controller. I've been trying for 6 weeks to get technical support or replacement but they don't answer the phone or respond to emails. $6000 is a lot of money for me to waste and my mother who needed the chair is very disappointed.
Definitely not scammers – We purchased a patient hoist from MobiAssist, and it was by far the best experience I've had with any company in my three years on the NDIS. The team was incredibly efficient, quickly creating an invoice and even following up with our plan manager to ensure payment, knowing how urgently we needed the hoist. Impressively, the payment was processed… Read more
within a week (it usually takes around two weeks), and they had the hoist delivered within five days of payment—despite it being sent to my nana's place in a remote part of Far North Queensland.
Huge thanks to Toby and the team at MobiAssist!
Crooks and scammers – Crooked company using other businesses advertising. Also never answer phone. Avoid at all costs. Don’t succumb to these dodgy dealers
Not worth your money – Put my order in and received nothing. It’s a scam
Appalling service. Maybe a scam – I bought a chair from mobiassist on 24/1/24 which was NOT sent out to me. I contacted them and was told they no longer made that model. They offered to send a different type out. This also did not arrive. I then contacted them for a refund. This was meant to arrive in 10 business days. It has now been over three weeks. Not sure if this is a scam website. Will contact consumer affairs.
