We love our blinds, has made our patio area inviting in winter and summer. Vinnie did a great job installing. We are arranging two more blinds through Angie, who will be sending the rep to measure next week. Looking forward to the whole area fully enclosable as needed without the annoying bugs!
Motor has stopped working, contacted Modern and had to give credit card details before they would assist. Was told someone would be in contact shortly. One month on after numerous calls still nothing. After doing some research I contacted Queensland Blinds and Awnings at Northlakes. They returned my call and within 2 days a service call was booked.

to "confirm" the booking, they didnt have the details l had already provided them. It became immediately clear that assessing my roof was the absolute last thing on their priority list. The entire call was a relentless, exhausting pitch to cross-promote their other products and force their own advertising onto my property. I had to repeat myself multiple times just to stay on the topic of my actual roof. Despite my clear boundaries, they refused to drop it. They completely crossed the line by demanding I confirm whether I would let them plaster advertising all over my fence lines, and kept badgering me to guarantee that someone would be home to "accept the quote and commit to a deposit" on the spot. This isn't customer service—it's a hostile, desperate sales trap. If you want a company that actually cares about fixing your roof rather than using your home as a free billboard and bullying you for upfront cash, look absolutely anywhere else. Appalling experience.

Follow-up · I find them easy to clean and they definitely reduce noise. As for heat they act as a buffer between the direct light/heat of the sun and the windows or in my case doors and the result is a cooler room. I now have them under my patio and out of the direct sunlight and the rooms are markedly cooler

Had my installation for outdoor blind done on 25th February 2022. Only used it for 6 times but could not used it further as the support structure became loose on 3 side of the support brackets. try calling them during warranty period but unattended. Got an unskilled guy who dropped the whole roller shutter so it needed to be repaired. It was installed and working. Just took a lot of time and there was o problem with privacy as I don t have curtains. Show details
