The seat looks nice. So far working But the led lights never worked. I’ve changed batteries and nothing. It flicks when I include baterry than never again. Very bad and it seems like it’s a problem many had.
Only one lightweight bum has used this replacement seat/ lid and it has already hairline cracked near the hinge after only 1.5 years.Purchased from the green shed but unfortunately my receipt has faded to non existent, so probably no recourse. As they say- poor man pays TWICE
I have to make a retraction here. I wrote earlier the LED didn't work on the 2 seats we bought, now it is night time it is working perfect on both of them. I apologise and take back what I said.
Bought 2 of the Mondella LED O shape toilet seats. Seats fitted but both LED lights are not working as should. Light appeared briefly once the insulating slice was removed from the battery but that was it. I guess they know once it is installed it cant be returned.
Toilet seat fits well and is easy to install but cannot get the LED to work. Changed batteries and checking connections. I can get it to flicker when first put a battery in but nothing after that.
Gap between the toilet seat and the toilet – Excellent product though I have a feeling there is something I haven’t done correctly when I installed it. Can anyone help. Please check the picture. There is this gap between the toilet seat and the toilet itself which I can’t figure out why
This toilet light seat does work – bought this seat yesterday and thought lights didnt work. But suddenly tgought ill replace the bateries didnt have to buy new ones but but bottom one facing up and top one facing down and wolla suddemly have lift off.
How to remove the Mondella Family toilet seat – I love the idea of the family toilet seat and it works really well for us but has come loose and i have no idea how to remove it. The other seats have the buttons to remove them but not the family model. Any advice short of a hacksaw would be much appreciated
Garbage! – Just purchased seat and already the lights have stopped working. Seat feels ok but doesn’t look very secure. I can imagine what it’s gonna be like in a months time. The sensor lights are a scam. Couldn’t be bothered taking it back. Will just have to wait until it completely breaks.
Shocking. Bad. Fell apart – It fell apart within a week. Hinges lose so soft close failed. Had it about 2 months and had to 're fit it twice now. If I could leave no stars I would
Looked promising – I have just finished installing my toilet seat and have found one of the LED lights to be faulty. They are sound activated when in total darkness and I have one that responds well and one that does not at all. I have emailed customer service and am waiting on an answer.
Began to fail quickly – I purchased a new Mondella toilet seat around 18 months ago. The version I bought has the grey woodgrain finish. Within six months the finish was cracking underneath and within 12 months the vinyl wrap was cracking everywhere, notably on edges. The chrome fittings are also corroding, even though they're not subjected to harsh chemicals. It seems… Read more
to me that the grade of MDF used in these seats is not up to the job, as it flexes, stresses the vinyl wrap, and cracks under stress. Needless to say, the process of MDF breakdown is accelerated when the vinyl wrap becomes cracked, as MDF doesn't tolerate moisture at all well.
I would not recommend this product, especially for a toilet which is shared by a large number of people. Mine is in an ensuite and not subjected to family usage. While a warranty is offered, it's useless as the unit has to be fitted by a licenced plumber for the warranty to be effective. I would love to leave a review like this one at the retailer's site (Bunnings) but the option is not offered. A pity really, as the seat is attractive and comfortable and the soft-close feature works well. As installed, it was a great addition to my ensuite shower room, much better than the common but horrible white plastic assemblies.
Cool toilet seat – I love the sound activated LEDs. Not sure how long they'll keep working. I didn't have the same trouble the as a previous reviewer. Perhaps they didn't fit it correctly. Looks good on the toilet. If I'm still happy with it later, I buy some more for the other toilets in the house.
Terrible - connections wont stay tight – The connection point between the seat hinge and the bowl continually comes loose inside the fitting. It is a small thread with no locking mechanism. As a result the seat moves around and often falls down. The last straw was when our 4 yo grandson lifted the lid and went to pee. The lid fell on him! Im returning mine to Bunnings
Excellent family toilet seat for toddlers & adults – This family toilet seat is available from Bunnings for $68. In my honest opinion this seat is better (not to mention cheaper!) than the Lupi Lu family toilet seat. The fixings are a little trickier to install, but far more secure once in place. The seat itself snaps onto the fixings & is quite secure. The lid & the adult seat are soft closing, but… Read more
the junior seat is not. The junior seat features an integrated, concealed magnet that means it connects itself to the underside of the lid, so it cannot fall back down when you need access to the adult seat. The only downside I could see is that the junior seat is not positioned as far forward as in the Lupi Lu seat, which is a shame, but a minor detail. The overall idea of a family toilet seat has been better executed in this product & additionally it is cheaper (I might have already mentioned that ;D).
