Terrible service. I received a dress with a rip in the seam. Deb from Brisbane. I purchased the natasha blue hand beaded gown for my daughters wedding. Can't wait to wear it. It's absolutely beautiful. I love it. Delivery was very quick. Would definitely buy with Montique again. Very satisfied.

brother's wedding and wasn't able to get back to customer service within their returns policy period and as such, they are now not able to offer me a return or a partial refund, despite me having contacted them with the photographs of the faults on the same day that the dress was received in the mail, and them knowing I was going away. My last email to them seems to have just been ignored.

I bought a pair of Cleo Sequence Pants and an Olivia Sequence Blazer from Montique clothing through Myers online. I saw that you couldn't exchange for 'change of mind' but didn't see the fine print where you couldn't exchange for clearance items… Read more
until after the purchase. The price reduction wasn't significant hence hard to understand why it was a clearance item but nonetheless. I checked the online 'Size' guide which confirmed I was a medium (I'm usually a size 10) so that's what I bought. The items arrived quickly but when I tried them on, they were huge!! The site (and Montique) should have warned customers to buy two sizes smaller. Cleo Sequence pants - made so cheaply. The elastic band had minimal stretch in it; doesn't even sit on my waist. There are no pockets, waist band, zip or buttons. The pants are so long, they'll have to be taken up by a mile. Olivia Sequence Blazer - forget the fact that this is huge, the finish quality is poor. The collar doesn't sit properly and there are threads sticking up around it and the shoulder seams so some sequences as just falling off. The shoulder pads are way to big for the coat. I contacted Myers to see if they could exchange the clothes for a smaller size but they did not have either item in stock so I contacted Montique's representatives at intermoda.com.au. Even though they had a 'small' size in stock, they refused to exchange it saying it was a 'change of mind'. After numerous emails explaining it wasn't a change of mind but a sizing issue they still refused to exchange it. Montique need to warn potential customers of any sizing issues with their clothing. They should be more transparent and not put conditions of exchange in fine print online so that they're easily missed. If I decide to have these items altered, it's going to cost a small fortune. I'm tempted to count my losses and give them away. I did look at TEMU online to see what sort of sequenced clothing they had and their range and prices were amazing. I ended up buying a jacket from them that was of much better quality than Montique's for a fraction of the price. No wonder online shopping is so popular.
Follow-up · Yes I bought the temu jacket and it just needs minor alterations on the sleeves. Just a tad too long for me. I haven't sought a quote for the Monique clothes as I suspect it will be at least $250- $300. I don't know if I would spend that much but I'll get a few quotes and take it from there. Scammers – If i could give lower than 1 star i would, this company is a joke. Delivery time was 8 - 14 work days, i have been waiting for 4 weeks now and the package is still only on sent since the day i ordered it. After pay tells me i have to pay and the company is unwilling to help me. Bunch of robbers, forcing me to pay after waiting a month and still not getting any help or pausing the payment. Do NOT buy from these fraudes.
Very happy customer :) – I'm super excited about my Kourtney embroidered dress! It's stunning and gives a really lovely feel, like it's ready to hit the dance floor! Will be perfect for my niece's wedding. I've decided to add the navy balero so am waiting for that to arrive. The dress is true to size and can't fault the service - definitely recommend Montique.
Vivian Emerald Metallic Gown – I have purchased the Vivian Emerald Metallic Gown from Montique Clothing for a cruise, It arrived to day and is just stunning beautiful... a part from a little tear in the side which could possibly happen with the way the package was open with scissors I love this dress. Love this brand! – Very elegant, classy dresses. I have purchased 2 beautiful dresses ( one for a wedding and one for new year) from Montique. I am very happy with both of them. I have also purchased several earrings for Christmas presents. Highly recommend this brand.
Unreasonable Refund Policy – I bought a dress from Monique Clothing to wear to my son's Engagement Party. Unfortunately, the week before the party I broke my Tibia {shin bone] and Talas [Ankle bone]. had ended. I contacted the company and let them know about the exceptional circumstances and asked that I be able to return it. I emailed them a copy of my medical certificate to prove the situation. They still refused the refund. I do not recommend them and won't use them again.
Good quality and size – Looking forward to wearing my purchase (Allora navy)to my sons wedding. Excellent online service. Went for a size 14 which was too big. No problems returning and refund. Then purchased online again in Size 12. Colour quality excellent and like photo.
Gunmetal colour dress ordered, it’s actually brown! – Brought the Layla beaded dress in ‘Gunmetal’ colour, thinking it was a dark silver. When it arrived it was a brown colour, I didn’t mind the dress so kept it. Months later saw a balero on the Montique website in mink colour that I thought would look nice with the dress. they advised the silver balero and put it on their ‘gunmetal’ dress and sent me photos of the 2 different baleros on the dress. As they said the silver did look better. As I hadn’t looked at my dress for quite a while I was forgetting what my ‘gunmetal’ colour actually looked like. Now I’m almost ready to wear the dress I can see the huge difference in colour in their photo and the website colour. Now I’m stuck with a silver $260 balero that I can’t wear with dress as it doesn’t match at all, so I called head office once again to be told that the shades of colours do change of time, but this is a shade difference this is a totally different colour dress. Head office helped me pick the silver as it looked better, so today I’m told ‘too bad, it’s out of our return period’. Who cares that the dress they sent me is so not Gunmetal. Very disappointing!
Customer beware - no returns or exchanges online - don’t risk it with the sizing – I ordered a sequined dress from Montique online using the size guide provided, which equates Australian waist, bust, and hip sizes 10-12 to an M. the sizing issue (with the item still with tags and within the 14 days of receipt) I was told by [Name Removed] that they don’t do exchanges and refunds on “sale” items. No credit note was offered - no effort to resolve even though the smaller sizes were still available online - they just couldn’t be bothered to offer a solution. The dress and postage had cost $200 - wasted on a dress I can never wear. Note that Montique’s “no exchanges or returns on sale items” policy would seem to conflict with the ACCC’s advice that a business can’t take away basic consumer rights simply by saying that they don’t do exchanges. They are required to meet the minimum requirements under Australian law. I hope the ACCC investigates the operation of this questionable online arm of the company. Buyer beware! If the same thing happens to you, please let others know so that together we can make a change and keep Australian businesses accountable.
Service disgraceful – I recently purchased dress that was a sale item for 185.00. I find there sizes in accurate. I messaged them to ask for a exchange as I needed to size down and I was refused. I did not ask for a refund but simply a smaller size. They refused saying it was a sale item no refunds or exchanges. I now have a dress that’s too big that I cannot wear costing 185.00. I will never purchase from them again or would recommend them to anyone
NOT TRUE TO SIZE – Purchased dress on line with Monique. Very disappointment and sizes are incorrect and not true to actual size. Dresses review – Over the last years, I bought 4 dresses from Montique last one I bought I wore it for my son's wedding for the church ceremony. Excellent customer service – I purchased a beautiful Montique dress from Myer Perth. I received fantastic customer service from Atefeh. If you have a formal occasion you will be pleasantly surprised as I hadn’t heard of this label.
I couldn’t be happier – I received my Genevieve dress today after only 2 days. I was hesitant about buying online but I am so happy with it. Perfect fit and so elegant. I highly recommend and will be shopping here again.

Quick delivery and beautiful outfits – I purchased two outfits online through Montique. I ordered on a Thursday night and received my order on the following Monday morning. The clothes are beautiful and so well made.
AVOID PURCHASING ONLINE – Dress had a fault in stitching which I photographed. They said white stitching on a black dress was not a fault and the fact that it didn’t fit like any of their other clothes I own was not a fault either. As item was on “sale” I got a six month credit - gee thanks !! - which has now expired. TRY ON ONLY. AVOID ONLINE
AVOID purchasing online at any cost – I have gained weight from medication due to s chronic illness. I had ordered and paid the returning shipping 3-4 times over a year. AVOID AVOID AVOID - Wedding dress disaster - Heartbroken and cheated – I purchased a dress online from Montique on advice from the sales consultant in the Montique concession store - Myer. The sales assistant (definitely Montique saleslady NOT MYER salesperson) suggested I order the dress online, & if it wasn't suitable, I could return for a full refund. on her computer, and advised she didn't have that particular dress in stock or anything similar. I verified with her twice that I would receive a full refund. I ordered the dress online, & once received, I realised it wasn't as pictured & did not match description, so I returned the dress the next day. It took 2 emails to discover that they had received the dress and wouldn't provide a refund - only a credit. The woman at Montique in Sydney stated during a phone conversation that the refund/exchange policy states this clearly on the website in T's & C's & when purchasing sale items. This is untrue, it is hidden in fine print, and I actually had to search for it. It wasn't displayed at check out as she suggested to me during a phone call. Montique have refused to refund my purchase, in spite of the sales assistant advising me to make the purchase online, knowing it was a sale item and assuring me I would receive a full refund. There is nothing suitable on the website, & they are now holding my money in the form of a credit preventing me from purchasing a Wedding dress elsewhere. Fair Trading asked Montique to provide a goodwill refund - Montique's answer was NO!!! I now have no Wedding Dress and no money - only a store credit where nothing is suitable. I feel completely cheated, robbed and heartbroken. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

Amazing after sales service! – I recently purchased the gorgeous Celeste dress and I noticed a bead was missing. I emailed thinking it would go no further than that, but Vanessa promptly emailed back and told me to send it back for a replacement dress! I was amazed and very pleased to say the least! I also own another Montique dress and I just love the designs! Would highly recommend this gorgeous brand of occasion wear!

They sorted out my dress crisis meltdown and I can't thank them enough! Actual Product not as advertised online - false online advert – Purchased a dress from their website as it looked beautiful. However, the actual delivered dress had a totally different pattern and a much thinner fabric, and looked quite different to the advertised dress online. Contacted Montique several times with no response. Not cheap either. We should stop blaming overseas producers and review our own local stores, sadly. Money wasted.
