VERY strong PLASTIC odour in 10 litre casks! – I always buy 10 Litre Mount Lofty casks, but lately ... there's been a DISTINCT smell of plastic in each box ... leaving me feeling quite distressed and angry! This is because they STILL use low grade plastic bladders to hold the water ... even WORSE than the bottles! BPA's are SOOOOOOOO dangerous!!!! Nobody seems to care about that! They are slowly poisoning millions of people a day ... all around the country!

... "BPA's can mimic estrogen to interact with estrogen receptors α and β, leading to changes in cell proliferation, apoptosis, or migration and thereby, contributing to cancer development and progression." ... and that's just for starters! If you're at all interested, you should do your research on the dangers of plastics in our food and water supply.

Something that's slipped under the radar for all these companies ... and the authorities! When most plastic lunch boxes and bottles sold in supermarkets are now BPA free ... NO ONE seems to have paid any attention to the toxicity in the water box bladders!

It's SO sooooo frustrating, and deeply disturbing. The ONLY other option is to buy the glass Voss brand of bottles ... but at $5 a pop ... I'd become dangerously dehydrated within a week! Don't even get me started on how disgusting tap water is ... not to mention PLASTIC bottles of spring water ... also NOT BPA FRIENDLY ...

What's a consumer supposed to do? Continue giving our children toxic chemicals that are slowly leaching into our drinking water??? Where is our right as humans ... to be put BEFORE capitalism and the almighty dollar!!! We don't matter ... to big business ... we are merely a means to a capitalistic, money making end ...

I was a customer for 10 years but no more – I gave up on them 2 years ago after being their customer since 2008 because one of their new drivers, who was supposed to deliver me 2 bottles every 3 weeks, for the past 2 years since he started delivering in my area, he didn’t show up at the established day, but did it rather randomly when he felt like it one week too early or one week too late, etc. It happened so often, that almost every second delivery time I had to ring and tell them I did not get my water and they would promise he will come the next day but he didn’t come till the next week, or whenever he felt like it. He would then show up AGAIN at the time he did the regular scheduled delivery, when my bottles were still full, because he actually delivered them 8 or 10 or 12 days too late the previous delivery date! That went on for about 2 full years! It was so frustrating. Once I confronted him at the door to tell him that he was supposed to come 5 or 6 days before, according to the promise of their dispatcher, and he had the nerve to point at a sticker I had in my window which said “No door knocking please”. He insinuated that he came to deliver the water but he saw that sticker (which by the way was there since before we moved into this house 20 years ago) and because of that sticker “he thought” I didn’t need the water and put it back into the truck!!! Could you believe that? Wouldn’t anyone in their right mind know that sticker was for the annoying people trying beg for money or sell things door-to-door? It was the last straw for me, because he was the same driver who delivered the water for the past 2 years and that sign never deterred him before! After he left, I rang them and told them that I didn’t want to be their customer anymore.

Mount Lofty spring water ph5 – The company Mount says there water is neutral, that would be pH 7, but when tested it was reading pH 5, I find this misleading and unprofessional. I emailed the company about this and did not receive a reply which I thought was also very unprofessional.

Very dishonest organisation – I used to have water delivered from this company however I there have been several situations that have occurred that caused me to believe that they are extremely dishonest. Firstly, I have several water bottles which I paid $10 deposit for years ago from another company. The driver offered to 'take them off my hands' for nothing which I thought was rather sneaky of him given that I had paid a deposit. They then swapped them over to Mount Lofty Springs bottles however they neglected to tell me that I was forfeiting my deposit by doing this. (The salesman has just called me and offered to pick them up and leave the equivalent number of bottles from the original company for me to then arrange to get the refund from. I've declined.)

I stopped having the water delivered by Mount Lofty Springs because I left money in an envelope under the empty bottles just outside my kitchen window where I was working and the same driver claimed that there was no money in the envelope. I have a dog who barks every time someone even walks past my house and I heard no-one come onto my property and neither did my dog until the Mount Lofty Springs driver came.

When I rang the office today to get them to pick up the bottles and claim the deposit the woman who answered the phone said they wouldn't be reimbursing me, that the driver was very honest and implied that I was lying! And to top it all off she says that I owe them $44!

Stay away from them. They're not worth the trouble!
