Don’t do it! Do not buy – Usually love Mr Chen’s but Wow was expecting so much when I saw the packet. But what I got was gluey noodles, three tiny shrimp, a whole lot of tofu and a weird flavoured aftertaste. Had two bites and then dumped. Sorry not impressed. Show details

Needs a real taste test by Thai people to get it right – There is NOTHING authentic about this product, they should have called it Taste of a taxi driver's seat from a Taxi in 1970's Melbourne, there is that much Garlic in it it overpowers all other flavours. There is definitely no need to add toxic levels of Garlic to the product, unless you are attempting to recreate a genuine ITALIAN Pad Thai, Nonna would be proud. Show details

Dissapointing – Generally I love Mr Chen Products. Unfortunately this was so far from the usual that it was almost inedible. The meal does not contain any prawns, but what I would call bait shrimp, the flavour of them was all through the meal as well. Saying salty is an understatement – I really wanted to like this as much as I love other products. However, being microwaved in the unventilated plastic made it come out sludgy, making the texture unappealing. If that were the only problem, I could work around it. Unfortunately, and although I believe the the overall taste would have been really good it nosedived into a dish of inedible salty noodles. Sorry thumbs down from me Show details

Prawn pad thai with no prawns – Just ate Mr Chen Prawn Pad Thai. Didn't mind the flavour but no prawns...oh unless you call 2 tiny shrimps prawns- not in this country Mr Chen! I would suggest respecting your current purchasers and rectify this. Show details

Disappointing – Bought this frozen meal was gluggy and had unusual taste Did not have much prawns or veges but lots of tofu (I think). Disappointing as was not cheap and made in Vietnam and no reason could not be made in Australia Show details

Awful – Hopefully I haven't been poisoned. It sort of tasted like pad Thai, sort of, but was gluey and really unappetising. I couldn't recommend this product to anyone with any taste buds at all. Show details

Why is it so salty? – It was presented well for a frozen meal, good amount of noodles and prawns for lunch. However the flavour is quite overpowering with lots of saltiness. It was a struggle to finish it because of this. Wouldn’t eat this again.  Show details

Horrible! – If I could give this no stars I would. Cooked it tonight and it was a gloopy, gooey mess which ended up mostly in the bin. Contained about 4 tiny prawns. Won't be buying it again.

Duped yet again – A year ago I bought a Mr Chen's frozen meal and all I got was one piece of gristle and noodles, I wrote and complained and they told me they were having production problems. noodles. The first time I complained they did offer me my money back, but I declined as I genuinely thought they would get their act together. These are inferior meals and I will not be buying again. I will also be complaining to Woolworths.
