Where are the dumplings? – I bought two packs- no dumplings just batter mashed in with some filling. Didn't look appealing at all. Tasted very mediocre. Suggestion :- separate batter and product into dumplings and bonus points if sauce is added in separate sachet. Show details

Not great but could be worse – Not a great product. The noodles are vacuum sealed to the point that they form a block so solid that soaking them in hot water won't let you separate them without breaking them to pieces and by that point they're a bit mushy. This is a common problem with many of the pre-packaged hokkien and similar type noodles. The noodle pack is quite small… Read more

too.

The sauce isn't bad but I wouldn't call it satay, it's fairly sweet too. The little peanut pieces are a nice touch though.

Like many similar products, there's no way you'll serve 2 adults with this unless you add extra chicken and extra noodles, maybe a reasonable portion size for 1 adult or 2 young kids.

Not worth the price for what comes in the box. Better off buying a large jar of a good satay sauce and a big packet of noodles, you'll get more food and depending on where you buy it could be cheaper too.

No more Mr.Chens – No satay flavour at all - just very boring sweetness. Noodles took more than double time to separate then turned mushy. Certainly not worth nearly $9.00!!! 3rd Mr. Chens product that has been very disappointing. No more Mr. Chens. Show details

Poor value for money – This is definitely not $9 worth of ingredients - even on special it's not worth it. I gave this one a go thinking it would be comparative to Marion's Kitchen meals. But it's not. Poor quality noodles and too expensive for two serves. The size of the box is misleading. A lot of empty space.

Tastes like the indo style satay but not enough for 2 – The flavour of this satay comes closer to the chinese/indonesian style satay I'm used to comming from Europe. So I enjoyed the taste. However... The contents of the package which states it serves 2. Or is two serves is misleading. The package of noodles that comes with it is tiny, and so is the amount of sauce. I don't consider myself as… Read more

someone who needs a big portion either. But this is just insulting. Don't buy these products if you are expecting a meal for two.

Not satay at all - weird taste – Didn’t taste like satay at all. The only thing satay-tasting about it is the peanuts you add as a garnish at the end. Super disappointing. Would not recommend. Show details

Would not recommend – Did not taste nice at all - had to add to the sauce to actually have my family eat it. The noodles broke into small pieces and were not pleasant to eat. I love other products from Mr Chen’s but this was not good.

Taste wise doesn't go well – Growing up as an Indonesian I was growing up eating mie goreng and chicken satay (not mixed together). And since I tried other Mr. Chen's products and they're delicious. I decided to give this a go. I guess I was expecting stir fried noodles to be a bit dry not drenched with satay sauce. And the satay sauce itself isn't thick peanuty kind of… Read more

traditional satay sauce. Also for the price it's not worth the effort to cut up chicken and veg and stir fry again. On the positive note: still better than your normal frozen homebrand/ western / healthy brand Asian themed ready meals that would cost $8-9.

Loved it!! – My son an I love this kit. We added a bit more chicken than it stated an 1/2 a bag of frozen stir fry prep veggies. The only downside is our local Woolworths an coles sells out fast. Show details

Not worth the price – Whilst we enjoyed the sauce flavour, we didn't find it to taste much like any 'satay' we've had before..it had more of a ginger base than peanut. The noodles provided in the kit were a terrible gluggy lump which broke into tiny pieces when we tried to separate after the boiling water was added. Consequently they were thrown in the bin and we… Read more

added some fresh noodles, which we fortunately had in the fridge. Taking that into consideration, all in all, fairly expensive for a small sachet of sauce and a tiny packet of peanut garnish.
