MTEC Roofing and Guttering

Recommend you avoid – MTEC replaced the roof and gutters 5 years ago on the small block of units I now live in. pecked at the silicone, so just another area for water to penetrate. Insufficient number of screws were used. We had to get the QBCC involved. MTEC failed to comply with the notification to rectify works, so QBCC performed some repairs, but were not able to address all of our issues. The compulsory insurance (which we paid for) was never activated.

We still have a sub-standard roof which a couple of independent roof assessors have recommended needs completely replacing rather than continuing to attempt patching it up. Extremely unhappy and it appears they don’t even get a slap on the wrist for doing such shoddy work.

Excellent work ethics – MTEC Roofing responded to our phone call straight away and came the next day and gave us a quote and a time that they would be able to start the restoration. True to their word they arrived early on the morning stated in their quote and set about repairing and restoring the roof back to its original stature. They were considerate, friendly and hard working. We would recommend this business to anybody

End result was great – Great customer service and happy with job overall. Had a few issues that were promptly rectified in a timely matter. Would recommend this as a good company to deal with.

Unqualified cowboys – Extremely poor quality work. Rush job, no attention to detail. Zero customer service. Gutters leak down the fascia. They damaged tiles and chimney flue seal causing extensive water damage and flooding. Staff performing work are unlicensed and unqualified.

Very poor – Very average quality, Had to demand they return to rectify, they had no choice as hadn't been paid yet, Not sure how it would have been if I had paid???They rushed my job and quality showed. Lazy communicating, Lack the basic common courtesy of a simple phone call or text message to paying customer over basic issues. Could NOT recommend.

PLEASE AVOID THE PAIN!! – Sadly a bad experience - sheeting okay, but additional work (guttering, metal fascia sleeves, downpipe etc) super messy - told them to remove ugly fascia sleeves only to find that they never supplied the almost 1K of additional fascia they told me I needed and quoted me on (knowing it would be covered by the sleeves)!! In all good conscience I could not recommend these guys :o(
