Fall apart. Not joined at seams. Bigger ones seem ok. Show details
I just started a new roll of the multix greener home compostable bags AS 5820, ABAP 20006 in small or mini, I didn't keep cardboard outer layer and bags don't specify. Unfortunately they tore as I attempted to open them, they are appear to be stuck together. Show details
Completely useless – Useless and frustrating; they tear along a seam, open up an are in pieces- worst product I have ever seen
Pointless. Rots in the receptacle in less than a week – Unlike others, I can successfully tear off a single bag and place it in a small bin. Problem is that it doesn't last the week between bin empties and when removed from the bin, all the contents drop into the bin through the, already rotted bottom of the bag making the whole exercise pointless. I used another brand previously and it worked well. Product definitely needs some improvement. Show details
Non usable green bags 063021 – I am usually a fan of Multix Greener the compost bin size but not a fan of the 063021 size much bigger. I cannot use them and when I open them they tear and they are no good. Show details
Remove these from the market!! – Don't waste your money. Can not even open the bags from their roll without tearing. Show details
Waste of resources and money – I kept persisting with purchasing these bags, but have had enough of having to compost all the bags that split when opening (no matter how gently). I believe they are already starting to degrade by the time you buy them at point of purchase. Called Multilix (company is Mcpher) and was told to email feedback to enquiries@mcpher.com.au Show details
Unusable - would give it negative stars if possible – One of the worst products I've ever bought. They're literally unusable. Try to remove one from the roll - it tears in the process. Try again more carefully - tears again. Try a third time, super-delicately - this time manage to get one off the roll without it breaking. Carefully try to open the bag up - it tears. Try again, again… Read more
super-delicately - success this time.
Go to carefully put it in the bin - it tears.
Gave up at this point and junked (composted) the rest.
I have no idea how Multix can justify putting a product this terrible to market. Compostable bags are understandably more fragile than non-compostable - but these are unusable. Competitor brands are nowhere near as fragile.
Useless – Bags literally fall to bits before you can use them, they tear when you pull them off the roll, and they split when you try and open them, and they decompose in your kitchen tidy almost immediately if anything even slightly wet is put into them. These should be taken off the market. I would advise anyone who has bought them to take them back to… Read more
the point of purchase (Woolies or Coles) and ask for their money back and tell them to stop stocking this rubbish. They are unsaleable.
Not a garbage bag, it is GARBAGE! – These multix “Greener” bags must biodegrade the moment they leave the warehouse. They are not fit for purpose ( ANY PURPOSE) . They tear when you attempt use. The tear during use. They are useless. Show details
I really wanted this product to work – I'm always looking for the most environmentally friendly products and have had good experience with Multix in the past. On this product I sadly have to agree with the other reviews on this site. The bags are too fragile and I've just gone through half a roll without being able to use even one, due to splitting while trying to open them. I'm now… Read more
wondering whether the tearing in all the bags in the first half of the roll happened even before I put anything into them. Come on, Multix! Please give us non-polluting products that work!
One star is one too many – Not well made for the required task, there are better Show details
Great concept. But they don't work – The idea is great, but for every 20 you delicately tear off, you only get one bag that can be used. They basically start degrading the minute they are packaged. Until they are improved they are a waste. Show details

Know better, choose better.
These Bin Bags are Rubbish! – I usually try to buy my groceries with sustainability in mind, but Multix is just taking the mickey with these rubbish bags. If you can actually manage to open one without poking your fingers through it, you'll find that something as light as a crumpled piece of paper will tear a hole in these things. I ruined three bags with the gentlest of touches and threw the rest in the bin. Don't waste your money. Show details
Rubbish alright – Agreed with all previous comments. I didn't even manage to open one without ripping it. DON'T BUY THOSE result polluting unnecessarily while producing those bags to end up with even more rubbish not environmentally friendly at all. I won't even dare putting them in my compost I just don't trust them. Show details
Awful, just awful compostable bags ...!! – Did Woolworths quality control even look at this product when they decided to stock it? Obviously not. Compostable garbage bags ... a must for the range ..... get them in the store and on the shelf ~~ green wash, green wash. A garbage bag must be fit for purpose. These are not! Flimsy weak 'compostable' bags! Really difficult to open and… Read more
expand to fit to the bin ...... rip, split ..... three bags later!! Not cheap either. Steer clear at any cost. I ditched two roles through sheer frustration! Not very green at all!
Poorest quality imaginable!!!! – I have a compost caddy in my kitchen supplied by my council and they even supplied compost bags. When they ran out I bought these Multix Compostable 28 Mini bags at the supermarket. They are shocking and a complete waste of money. I may as well use paper towels. I agree with the previous comments made. I also want to add that they don't even have… Read more
handle ties to secure them when you want to dispose of the bags in the compost bin and they are so flimsy when you try to tie them they just rip apart. Don't bother with them.
Worst bin bag have ever used – This bag is compostable - which is positive. Am sure it is good for the environment. However, they fail with excessive regularity, leaking food waste and bin juice. I have lost track of the number of spills we have had to clean up when the bags failed after being not even half full. They may work if double bagged, but that would raise their per… Read more
unit cost even more than the 2x price premium they cost over the minimum price comparator at Woolies/Coles. Given their failure rate, they are clearly not cost effective nor good value. In my opinion they fail the most basic requirement of a bin bag - not to fail before disposal - and so should be removed from sale. I would NEVER buy these again.
