Rang to find out the status of the plates delivery and the agent on the phone was less than useless, did not provide any information claiming some st^pid privacy laws which had nothing to do with my question, as if I was asking for the banking information, $1000 spent on license plate, and zero assistance in return.
Ordered standard plates as required for a bike rack on the back of the car, they rip you off, take forever and charge a $11 delivery fee to send it less than 5kms, like any government required service the fee is not disclosed until you say you want it delivered to the address.
Follow-up · Had to travel a good distance to a news agent to pick it up and over priced for no service - typical govt. rip off - Plates are so small, would have been simpler to just print the same details as I have on my other plates
These people dont want to talk 94331600 on 8th jan at 15:10 aest...after one hour wait and this lady picks up and hung up, i could able to hear crystal clear...annoying customer service
They provided us with beautiful, classy plates perfect for any occasion. The quality is excellent, and they add a touch of elegance to our dining experience. Great selection, durable materials, and stylish designs.
Absolutely trash customer service (the person I spoke to "Suntaree" was very rude and think she's a Queen - absolutely zero interest in helping) such a rip off for a piece of aluminium!
Where is zero can't find zero button to leave a review bloody AUS No1 rip of state for number plates what is this for piece of aluminium keep renewal give every year in different colour different plates when you pay for something you got use of it what renewal for collection of bugs.If it's a state local reinvestment getting something back yes but for some company contractor charge me for what.
If I could give my plates - zero stars I would ! Absolute RIP OFF merchants . Don't get a private plate if you live in NSW . They will charge you $499 a year to display it. with both my plates for non disclosure. Then to be told with a flippant attitude from the women at my plates, I cannot return them or get a refund is dispicable treatment !
The government in NSW are disgusting charging this amount !
Wonderful people to deal with, nothing was a problem. very quick delivery and good price, my car looks so much better, the yellow plates looked terrible. I'm very happy.

justify it, but there is no justification for theft. Unfortunately I have a personalised number plate that was a gift from my late mother, it has sentimental value, otherwise I would get rid of it. Shame on you Transport NSW, total shame
What a disgrace, as usual inaudible incompetent foreign staff who can't even pull off a call transfer let a plate order ...and there online website doesn't work properly either , another great Australian government idea...don't bother.
Don't even bloody bother. Trying to make me re pay an order fee for plates what are perfectly fine what were on a written off vehicle yet I have the plates and they won't let me use them unless I re order them and pay the $400 odd dollars. Have called them = useless. Have emailed them rude, useless and won't even offer any sort of discount, just money hungry
Rude unhelpful staff – Ordered a motorbike style change December 9th and it's now January 9th still haven't got it. from Myplates and when they do it will update to "we've got it" on the tracking. Over a month to make one small 5 digit plate is pretty poor considering the amount they rip you off for it!

add the EV sticker to the plate, and wanted this placed in a spot on the plate that was more aesthetic to achieve the look I was after.
I was deciding between the premium black silver and the euro size premium silver (extra long). I used the website to view my design and decided in the premium black as it appeared to have space on the right to add the sticker and looked nice with the dot separating the characters.
Although the website image is for illustration purpose only and it may be different, when I received my plates today, the characters appear to be squashed to the right on the plate and the separator dot is actually a diamond (I know, small thing but not what was advertised on the website). With the characters squashed to the right, there is no room for the EV sticker, except to place in the middle of the characters.
I tried to resolve the issue with customer service via email today and their only suggestion is to order a new style and pay the $400 + fee again. This is not great service and in my eyes is false/misleading advertising on the website if they can’t even get a simple detail correct like the diamond separating the characters on the plate instead of the dot as advertised.
Beware that if you are as particular as me with your new plate style, you may not get exactly what you envisioned and will be stuck with something you don’t like and bad service in resolving.

Steer clear and save your cash. They’d rip you off for nothing – PLEASE SAVE YOUR CASH. Don’t style just go with the basic. This review is based on what happened to me. money spent on them. So blunt, ruthless and in my honest opinion useless. Just get the bare yellow or white plate and ignore these silly product offering who only there to waste your money and environment by that. By great reusable plates they took back and lost my hard earned cash. Utterly disappointing.
Do not pay money for silver background – Do not pay for silver background !!! The silver background is more expensive than simple white. The problem is that the silver is so pale that it's barely discernible from white so it's completely pointless to pay extra for the silver !!! If you're thinking to buy anything silver coloured just save your money and get white ......you won't be able to tell the difference anyway
Useless – Absolutely useless, they cancelled my plates because apparently what I wrote wasn’t aloud for absolutely no reason and didn’t plan on telling me until the 14 days wait time for plates to arrive hapoened. here, the customer service people were absolutely rude and unhelpful and didn’t offer any compensation for having to no wait even more time for plates when they could’ve told me 2 weeks ago and I could possibly have them now or very soon
Total fail – Ordered and reserved a custom plate combination in about January 2023 for our small camper trailer which was being made, we got the trailer in late August, so went to manufacture the plate with the available style on their website.... error came up, rang MyPlates & they said it was an IT issue with their website... A few weeks later again, I asked for an update & they said still with ServiceNSW
A week or so later MyPlates rang & tried to manufacture the plate with me over the phone as they said I couldn't do it online, they got an error & said "Oh, we will; have to check with ServiceNSW again"
Heard nothing, so Jan 2024 I emailed them again... they called me back a couple of days later & said the style we wanted was not available for the plate combo we wanted (yet it still shows on their website with a combo similar)
Have now requested a full refund & we have given up on having a custom plate!
what a pathetic excuse off a company – waited for 30 mins still could not get through. I cant even order online its telling me to call as there is an error.

I can go stand at NSW services for an hour while they phone myplates and we are in a call queue as even NSW services can’t accept the plates on their behalf. What a business. Really poor quality – Another set of plates supplied from MyPlates , looks like the “ NSW “ down the side of the “ Premium “ plates looks like it was painted with a crayon by a 2 year old . Please can we have some competition to this company.
Plates have no holes to be installed!!!! – My plates right on 7 years lost the white part on the letters, I had to get new plates(paid again) made and they arrived had no holes to be fixed to the car!!! I got stuck at RMS as I could not drive my car!!!! Stupid people …..

The unnecessary style fee of $200 – I find this fee totally unjustified. When asked they couldn't provide any valid reason behind this and just said that this is a fee that you have to pay.
Answer the phone – answer the phone and don't blame 'too many customers need help' when the real response should be that we don't have enough staff to answer your call.
Not fit for purpose like they used to be and certainly no WOW factor! – I concede personalised plates are an indulgence but they are an expensive and regulated one, so expectations of quality and assurance would be expected. paint on them looks like a kindergarten art glass dabbed it on with a sponge. Complaint respectfully lodged and ignored. What happens when I get booked in the next few months because they have faded to the point of being illegible? Australian plates for Australian conditions and personalised plates sold at a premium that look good are both reasonable expectations; "product is fit for the purpose it was sold" is a legal obligation, right? Step up, Myplates. It's really not that hard to be a respected brand, Start with basic supply line assurance and customer service.
Why was this ever privatised? – Just unbelievably slow, ordered late dec for a Jan 6 delivery (standard plate style) - no update to say it was delayed. Still waiting now over a month since ordering. Had to call to chase it up and was just told to wait it out. 0 communication, clearly being a monopoly means they have no incentive to do well.

single person. Took days off work to sign off the Plates and follow the rules. Waited all day and no response. Called work off for nothing. What a waste of time. Personalised plates costing you $691 + unknown delivery wait + terrible customer service. You’d find better service at Lowes or Salvation Army.
Don't waste your time or money – It took 34 days for my style plates to be delivered 60km away, in the mean time I had an entire exhaust system made and delivered from the UK in 6 days! Not only that the holes in the plates are drilled crookedly and in the wrong spot....All this for the rip-off price of close to $400......Pathetic.
We are being robbed – A few years ago I bought the NSW state of origin plate and loved it as the whole plate was covered in blue .I recently bought another set for my girlfriend and when they arrived all you get is the bottom 20% saying state of origin .To me it looks like they run out of paint.I am so annoyed and embarrassed to give these plates to my girlfriend .( Never Again )

4:23pm the same afternoon I realised I no longer had a need for the bike plate so I called to cancel and refund the order. Can’t remember the name of the lady I spoke to but she was shockingly rude and unprofessional. Long story short, as the car is registered in my fathers name but the auxiliary plate was purchased using my card, they could only offer a refund via cheque addressed to the registered owner of the vehicle. So I mentioned to the customer service operator that I basically just lost $45.. she then proceeded to laugh condescendingly and say something along the lines of “you’ve lost $45 but you can thank your dad for the car” to which I responded “well actually it is my car” and she of course had to have the last word and say “well it’s registered in your dads name so it’s not” to which I then explained that I paid for the car and it’s registered in his name for reasons that I don’t need to explain to her and that it was really rude to speak to me like that. Her condescending tone progressed throughout the rest of the conversation - even through her forced “sorry”. Hopefully myplates goes through the recorded conversation for this date and time because this lady should be penalised for her disgusting attitude and un-professionalism. Really, I don’t care too much about losing $45, I just think it’s completely unfair to be belittled and spoken to like that.
Frustrating – My wife's car was clipped and I needed to get her front number plate replaced. I tried ordering like-for-like replacements through My Plates online but the site kept giving me technical problems and couldn't complete the order. come and I finally picked them up today. When I went to screw them back on I was very surprised to realise they didnt have holes pre-drilled in the appropriate positions to fit the previous plates. I now need to go out and get hold of a drill to make fresh holes myself. So overall a tedious process that took longer than I thought which ultimately gave me a set of plates that were not ready to be fitted back with ease. What a terrible service.

Wait times are bad enough, standard they allow is 21 business days, and they are printed in Sydney so don't understand why they take so long. thought that's how all number plates are. My new plates were delivered and I was so happy until I realized the new plates are larger than the old ones. We had to buy new frames for the new ones but after fixing the new rear plate my husband discovered the front of the car is suitable for a slim plate only. There are only 2 screws to attach the plate with the new plate covering the grill. As we considered a larger plate might well flap if only attached by 2 screws, and with the airflow restricted the car could overheat we decided to use only one of the plates on the rear keeping the original plate on the front. As requested I returned 2 plates to Service NSW but they were refused as they are not "exactly the same". I can only use the 2 old plates or the 2 new plates, but if I decide not to use the new plates they must be returned, but there is no refund. If I don't do as instructed my car registration will be cancelled. I maintain all 4 plates are the same and can't see the problem, but if I MUST return the new plates I want my money back. While it does sound like a good idea, be warned, if you make a mistake and can't use both new plates for some reason you won't get a refund.
