Hi Lynette I haven't how old is it Id go back to seller but if the stainless steel is cracked I'd probably just fill it with a heat resistant glue. But go back to seller first stainless steel cracking is a bit unusual you may have just got a bad one. Sue

Thank you. I've never seen this happen before. The pot was a present from my daughter.

How large is the 6l in diameter (thinking of space/storage when traveling) in my van? Thanks

Hi Shelley, we haven't got our motorhome @ home @ present so I can't measure our pot for you coz it's in there. I've messaged someone who has them in stock but it could take a while to get a reply. I've looked online & the Bunyip T/Pot looks almost identical & the dimensions of that one are: 28 × 29 × 29 cm which I dare say is very close to the measurements of our T/P. Hope this reply helps, cheers Paula. P.S. We love our pot it's great for travelling or even to use @ home in lieu of a slow cooker (no power useage either).

Hi Shelley the thermopots are approx 30 * 30 cms I have both the original dream pot and a copy. I have them in a cover as well. I basically only cook with a thermal cooker and a frying pan that's it . I carry the pot sometimes in the car if I've cooked before we leave for next destination or out for the day really they take up very little room think if a microwave without the cooking panel and that's the space. I use my thermal cooker at home as well so it moves around. I am very ruthless about what I travel with as long as it's your primary method of cooking you'll have room. I take it into cabins if we stay overnight or just use it on a butane burner. Once rather than throw out veggies I whipped up a curry at a lunch stop before we crossed a border . Hope this helps Sue

Hi everyone, can anyone tell me if there is meant to be a gasket of sorts that locks the lid shut to the little hook on the front of the body of the oven on the outside top of the rim?

Funny you should ask; no it doesn't it secures the lid in quite clever manner you swing the handle to the opposite site when you place back in a cover if you have one and it secures the lid. We have an original dream pot and it has a clip and I kept thinking this one was defective its just a reduction in manufacturing costs to achieve the same outcome. I have to say this on the QT. Our dream pot is probably 12 years old and we have it in a thermal bag as well, but the Thermopot actually keeps things hotter for longer it must be the change in materials. Enjoy

Ours closes fine, we also bought the carry bag/cover which helps to keep it warmer & prevents any damage/spillage whilst we're travelling. Prep in the morning before we head off & by lunchtime we have a lovely hot meal.

Where can I buy a Thermopot

Sue and Bill
Sue and Bill

Buy them on line from dream pot https://www.Dreampot.Com.Au/ there are imitations but they aren't to the same quality and often don't have the second pot inside. We also put ours in a soft fridge bag bought from any store and do find having the extra thermal cover good in winter and we pack it our camper. We've had ours for 10 years and aside from a frying pan is the only cooking implemnt we user. Enjoy you want regret it

Hi Sonja, I bought my Thermopot off ebay. It is fabulous quality, more so than the Dreampot (especially price wise) in my opinion (the lid & closeier part in particular). I can highly recommend it & love using it. I also bought the cover which is great, particularly if you're travelling. Here is the link to one of the sellers you can purchase it from. Cheers Paula. external link

Paula

Hi Chezza, I'm sure if you contacted one of the sellers they may be able to help. You could also google Thermopot & contact them directly. they surely would have a spare parts department. Hope this pf help ')

Can i use my thermo pot on a induction hot plate?

Paula
Paula

I think so. I use the pots from the holder on my gas or electric hotplates to get whatever I am cooking up to a good temperature before putting it back in the thermo holder. Perhaps you could email the company to check about induction hot plates.
