MyCPAP
1 review
Excellent supplier of CPAP machines and CPAP supplies – I have used a CPAP (Continuous positive airway pressure) ventilation machine for more than a decade to treat my moderate sleep apnea. My original CPAP was from Respironics, which I purchased from the sleep clinic I used way back then. After it died, after rendering sterling service I might add, I went back to the sleep clinic for a checkup, and this time they gave me a prescription, and got me to buy my own machine. There are lots of shops for selling CPAPs around, and I have been using a couple of online shops to purchase the CPAP supplies that are regularly required (air filters, water reservoirs, masks, tubes - you name it, it needs replacing now and again).
This time (Dec 2015) I bought a Resmed machine from mycpap.com.au, an online shop. I had used them not long before that, to get some air filters, and that worked out fine. A CPAP machine is a major purchase, and spending so much money over the internet is a bit of a risk. But the 'mycpap' company turned out to offer the best price for the machine, and so I made the transaction, using my credit card.
I am happy to say the service was good. Well, there was one problem. Initally, they were excellent, in that I got confirmation emails from them quickly, which were clear and well written, and then we sorted out the details from the prescription for the machine's settings. They told me the machine would be shipped to me, and it arrived exactly as promised. But it turned out to be the wrong machine (the woman's model rather than the men's). Mistakes do happen, so it is a better test for a company to see how they handle these. I rang the business, and they apologized, and then asked if they could deliver the correct machine in person, and collect the wrong one. I agreed, and an hour or two later, a friendly guy arrived with the right machine, which he then programmed with my medical details (when online purchasing, you need to email off a copy of your CPAP prescription to them first so they can set up the CPAP properly).
The machine is fine; excellent, actually. But I was impressed by their sales service. Also, recently, my mask (it's quite old that I carried over from the previous machine) gave up its ghost, by falling apart. After some online checking later, the 'mycpap' company were among the cheapest for a replacement, so I ordered one online. Again, I got an excellent response from them, with email confirmation, and a likely delivery date. I paid using PayPal this time. It arrived exactly as predicted.
So from a couple of good experiences with them, I can recommend the company for CPAP purchases.
