Simply not worth the extra money – Simply not worth the extra money Paid the extra $80 and for these h4 lights on my Land Rover really did not think you gain enough extra light for the money you pay they’re still going strong after a year I would love to put the LED lights in but I believe they are illegal now Show details

bloody great – my 80 buk phillips kept on goin poof, which i put down to the small lite weight pedantic fabrication. not made for 4wd bouncin around off road. was told narva crap was useless. took a punt on the 120 plus globes which were cheaper than phillips. not much difference in lighting. still goin strong 2 years plus.

low beam is good. high beam is not as i expected – i do a lot of driving in unlighted rural roads and highways. though the low beam is good, the high beam is not as bright as i expected. it does go quite a distance though. maybe it is just me comparing it to my other car which has projector headlights and high and low beam go on at the same time. im using h4 for this narva. i also read somewhere that they dont last that long. i am thinking of just adding spot lights instead.  Show reply

Good light output but poor lifespan – Definitely noticed the increase in light output in my 2009 Navara but first lamp failed after 5 weeks, second after 9 weeks. Returned to Repco with receipt and was given two new replacements. First of these failed at 7 weeks with the second lasting almost 3 months. Contacted Narva direct and they sent me 6 (yes six!) replacement globes. Guess… Read more

what, first one blew after 8 weeks, second at 13 weeks so I didn't bother with the rest. Narva's stance in writing was that 4WD alternator output is higher than standard passenger cars and they do not recommend them for 4wd vehicles. I forwarded his email onto Repco, who were extremely surprised as they had been recommending them for some years. I gave two of the spares to a work colleague who fitted them in his 2012 Hilux and he tells me they lasted just over 7 months.

I have since attempted the remaining two in my 4WD BT-50 (2016 model) and after 5 months they are still functional, but prior to that I have used stock standard globes in all my vehicles for over 5 years without blowing one.

Lasted Less Than 6 Months – I replaced my H7 headlight bulbs with Narva Plus 120 bulbs as recommended by the auto shop. The light output was a bit brighter, however the first one died less than 6 months old. (The filament had burnt out and was open circuit with the glass capsule intact) The headlight fittings and sealing caps are in good condition with no potential for… Read more

moisture or contaminant entry. Care was taken to ensure that the lamps were installed without any skin / hand contact. I would have happily recommended these bulbs if they had a reasonable life span. However, at twice the cost of a cheap basic bulb, the small amount of light improvement is not worth the extra cost with such a short life span. In the end, it would have cost me 4 times the amount of money spent, if I were to replace it with another Narva Plus 120 compared to if I had bought a cheap basic lamp at half the cost in the first place that would normally last longer than a year.
