Meh. The Company themselves were responsive to the fact I wanted a full refund within my cooling off period of 30 days. The process was easy and the money was on its way quickly. The car warranties themselves are worded in a way to protect them from paying out ever. If you have bought a reliable 2nd hand car already you DO NOT NEED THIS WARRANTY.… Read more

It does not pay out for "Wear and Tear" and classic breaks like leaks. Although it looks great on paper the warranty itself is terrible. The process is long, drawn out and could leave you without a car for nearly a month if the mechanic, them or you are slow at processing the information.

Save the money for a major service and just keeping ontop of the car like you would any vehicle.

what a scam this "warranty" is, exclusions include gaskets, hoses and seals. What sort of warranty doesnt cover a leak? If that leak takes out your engine it is not covered. Dont waste your money of these guys, you wont end up with the result you want.

Amazing. I was in a bother with my car service and needed some major repairs done. I assumed that it would be covered and didn't think to read the policy in detail. There are certain protocols one must follow to be eligible for cover, so I now know that once my service centre finds the fault, I hold off on repairs and contact NWC for advice on… Read more ·  1

how to proceed. But NWC saved the day! I was honest, I was willing to change my ways and help NWC with the details they needed to proceed with my cover. And in the end, the motor repair of my Volvo was fixed, fully covered by insurance and I can breathe, knowing I am ok, knowing that policies are written to protect everyone from fraudulent claims. Thank you and God Bless National Warranty Company! I am recommending you to all for vehicle cover, new or used, doesn't matter at all!!!!

I had 3 claims after paying top dollar for car warranty. They denied all of them, from a leaking coolant, to a blown coiler. Denied all of them. Do not buy warranty with this company they will deny anything you claim.

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!! I purchased the Imperial Warranty when I purchased a second hand vehicle, and then claimed on the policy as I had to get the fuel pump replaced due to a bad leak. They declined the claim on the grounds that the fuel pump was still working and had not suffered a catastrophic failure as required to in the policy. Just… Read more

remember your rights if you have already purchased this and they are declining a claim - Force them to respond in writing - Demand they give you their internal dispute resolution contact details (they will resist) - Write to the IDR and argue, I have attached my argument in case it applies or helps anyone - If they still refuse, take to AFCA - www.afca.org.au, and let them know you are doing that. These guys have had to pay compensation due to their dodgy business practices. I have attached my letter to their IDR which made them overturn the decision.

has been done though Rapid automotive, if the fule pump be replaced? Why [Name Removed] from Rapid Auto kept my car for more than 2 months to finalize the replacement? Now my car broken down on the road again with the same situations that I experenced last time when my broken down. The car be towed to Mycar in Armidale, where one of the NRC staff recommended though our phone conversation yesterday (NRC- NWC 's road assitance department). Unfortunately this morning after mycar checked on my fule system, they couldnt see the fule pump be changed to a new one. Then I contacted NWC again, forwarded all the information I got from Mycar to NWC, also pointed out the last repair center Rapid Auto isn't a good recommendation, they should check the work after I lodged a complain about the extrange things happened from Rapid Auto, but NWC said to me its not their job to investgate Rapid Auto's work, and Toyota isn't one of their listed repair center, also told me.that my new repair work may excess the $1000 which will not be covered by NWC policy. In.addition they refused to pay the tow service from Mycar to Toyota after Mycar reported to NWC that the car needs further investegation though Toyota as Toyota will have the right tools to check.on it. My phone call be cut off by NWC staff when I asked them to email me a comfomation letter that where my car can be send to, or they can accept Toyota's investgation/repair service.

Follow-up  · The fuel pump never be replaced, but the work.be listed on the invoice for insurance company to pay. The car broken down a week after, be sent to Toyota Armidale, be confirmed there's no sign that the fuel pump be replaced to a new

My mother's Jaguar had a DPF Failure and cracked a piston dispite being under warranty through this company. Once a claim had been filed they wrote back to her essentially saying "the DPF is an 'exhaust part'" which fell outside their terms and conditions. I'd personally like to know how many crayons these muppets ate as children as when an engine… Read more

goes undergoes active DPF regeneration the ECU tells the engine to increase exhaust temperature in order to burn off excess carbon and clean it out. Sounds like a bit more than just "an exhaust part" is involved in the DPF regeneration than the filter itself. Sure DPF failure can be caused by just the mechanism itself. But 60,000km in a car that gets driven for an hour a day at 110km/h allowing mostly passive DPF regeneration? No, further investigation is obviously needed. Anyhow these id*ots thought otherwise and were adiment that a cracked piston was caused by just the DPF and denied the claim on their nonsense terms and conditions as an "exhaust part isn'ta mechanical part" (keen to see what happens when someone comes in with a collapsed exhaust valve or blown turbo, I wonder what 'parts' they fall under). They were however MORE than happy to help themselves to the $5,000 my mother paid them to do absolutely nothing. To put it simply this company is a scam, do not go here, and I've already contacted my network of auto dealers and told them not to not trust their services.

period ended on 24/11/2023. I had an issue with my alternator on 04/10/2023 which i needed fixed urgently, so i got my mechanic to fix it and i wore the cost as i did not have the time to get it done under warranty. It did not occur to me at the time that my mechanic was a preferred repairer for National Warranty Company. I was not sure wether they would honour this, but i recenty this week contacted them with all the details they required and to my surprise, they reimbursed me with the repair costs. I cannot praise these people enough, the consultants they have in the warranty and also the associated roadside assistance areas are friendly, helpful and obliging. Drawing from my experience if you were looking at purchasing a vehicle that offers this insurance from this company, you really could not do wrong. This is a genuine review and i dont normally do many reviews. I am glad i was asked to provide my experiences. I really do feel that these people deserve a positive mention.

Honestly, it is useless when you need your car to be fixed asap. If I were better informed from the used car dealer about the very meticulous procedure of claims, I wouldn’t have bought the warranty. Nonetheless, NWC staff members were friendly.

Follow-up  · As far as what I was told from a NWC staff member, 1) I have to report to the NWC first when something is needed to be fixed; 2) they will advise me which mechanic I can take my car for an examination; 3) scanning cost is on me; 4) the mechanic will send a report of the problem to the NWC; 5) the NWC will review it, which may take a week; and 6)… Read more

I purchased a used car with an aftermarket extended warranty/insurance from the Presidian/Davantage Group. I followed the Presidian policies to transfer the policy into my name. The Presidian representative then asked for service receipts from the previous owner which were provided, despite this not being a published requirement. The same… Read more

representative then responded that due to a engine control unit (ECU) remap that was completed as part of a repair process through the Presidian insurance policy by a Presidian certified repairer that the policy would not be able to be transferred into my name and that it would instead be cancelled. The representative stated that Presidian would consider the ECU remap a ‘modification’ despite it clearly being an authorised repair.

I attempted to explain the above to the representative and request my complaint be escalated, however they used the fact that Presidian had refused to transfer the policy into my name as justification to not proceed any further or even review the initial clearly incorrect decision. This was a clear case of an aftermarket insurance provider cherry picking any excuse to terminate policies and void their obligations.

Avoid this company and save your money!

Just like any insurance. Very vaguely underwritten terms and conditions. Don't specify what's covered and what's not. Their brouchers depict an overview of parts that's covered under the warranty. When it comes to processing claims they would reject saying that it's in their excluded list. Be careful when car dealers upsell this or add on to your deal.

NWC had a good reputation, so we bought in. It is possibly one of the best decisions we have made when buying a car. We have had some major issues with parts that should not have failed and when we approached NWC about it they were very thorough in checking with our service repairer (in Northern NSW) and upon confirmation of the faulty parts, they provided the funds to help make repairs as per the NWC policy. This has happened a few time over the past 5 years and I have no hesitation to giving NWC 5 Stars and our full, wholehearted recommendation!
